2006-04-18 Happy Easter Everyone!

A: The Easter Bunny was really nice to me this weekend! He came to hide my Easter eggs around Thrall Street House, and I found all of them even before Grandad and Grandma got up! I’m really good at finding eggs!

On Friday, we all went to Yanchep, and it was lovely. We went to a lagoon, and we all went for a swim – it was a bit chilly, so Grandad ran into the water – it was really funny. The current was so strong that Mummy was going nowhere when she swam against it. We went to the national park after, and I saw the Koalas first! We also went on a spooky spider walk, and saw the biggest webs I have ever seen! I was a bit scared at night because of it though.

On Saturday we went to Bold Park for Mummy’s swim, and then City Beach – it was lovely, and I played in the park while Daddy went for a run. Grandma and Grandad went to Scarborough Beach for a walk.

On Sunday Grandma and Grandad and Daddy took me to see our new house, and we fed the ducks! It was really beautiful. We then went out to City Beach and did the boardwalk. We stopped for ice cream at Floreat, and I played in the park while Grandma and Grandad sheltered from the wind!

On Monday we decided to go to Caversham Farm Park – it was so funny! While we had lunch, we went to look at a wombat sleeping in an enclosure next to us, and it was really big! However, when we decided to go to the Wombat holding area, we had no idea a wombat was that big! It was actually bigger than me, and weighed 26kg! It was huge, and it just sat there. Daddy looked so funny holding it! I was also very brave on my second camel ride with Daddy – the camels kneeled down, we climbed on, and it stood up. It was pretty bumpy, but funny. At the start I told Daddy I was “little scared”, but in the end I loved it! We also felt a snake, and an owl, and saw a Tasmanian Devil, who was doing laps of his enclosure! I spent ages feeding one Joey – he loved me, and I loved him!

After Caversham, we went to the Bennion for cakes, coffee and ice cream - it was lovely, and walked along the coves after. What a lovely day we've had!

C: I am slowly gathering all the things to decorate Aiysha’s room in the house! It is going to be wonderful! I already have lots of fairy pictures and flowers for her! We also bought some new furniture – a dining table, a coffee table and a TV stand for the new house, which look very nice.

S: Man, that wombat was absolutely enormous! I have never held anything like that in my life, and it was rather humbling…

Favourite Baby: Joey at Caversham Park

Meals: Lasagne, Steamed Skate, Chop-Chop, Moon Noodles

2006-04-13 Gandma Brian and Grandpa Sik!

A: I went with Daddy to pick up Grandma and Grandpa from the airport! Daddy forgot my banana, but I was very understanding, as I knew I would ask him to play 'Chase Me' for about 45 minutes in the airport while we waited! It was funny! Daddy got lost driving home too, which was not funny...It is so nice to see Grandma and Grandpa, and they make me laugh!

Hanna came over yesterday, and we had a half sleep-over. Mummy was so good today, running around after us! Hanna had dinner, had a bath with me, and then we tried to sleep, but did not do too well. In the end, Mummy had to pat us to sleep. Daddy dressed up as a ghost, and Grandpa blew bubbles for us! We had such a funny time.

Mummy and Daddy told me that we will be living in the Winnie The Pooh house. I call it that because when we viewed it, I spent all my time lying in it, and jumping off it in the games room!

C: We finally have our dream home! We thought we lost it, but the other offer fell through, and now we have secured it! We are so happy, and we still can't believe it! We hope to view it with Sik and Brian, and will take some piccies when we do!

S: Thank goodness the house hunting is over! How stressful was that!? Abinger is practically exchanged now, too, so things are looking up! Mum and Dad are relaxing on the beaches, and hope to do even more relaxing on City Beach, and then at Yanchep! The weather has been nice - not too hot or cold. I broke their bed on Sunday night setting it up, which was very silly, so we have to get that sorted. Mum has done some amazing meals! They both seem very well and happy for us with the house. They can't wait to see it!

Favourite Baby: Hanna

Meals: Steamed Chicken, Steamed Skate, Chinese Bolognaise, Steamed Bream.

2006-04-07 Parent Helper!

A: Daddy came to my school Newborough Primary, and volunteered to help for a couple of hours in the morning! It was really funny seeing him cut fruit for all of us, and making jokes with the other children! Hannah didn't want to play with me for a while, and I was very upset, but we made up in the end. Daddy arranged the fruit so there was a smiley face in the middle of each plate - silly Daddy!! I was in charge of the bell, so I got to run around with it so that everyone knew it was time to tidy up! I was so proud that my daddy could see I was so responsible! I gave Daddy a huge hug and kiss before he left!

Mummy bought me a brand new dolls house, and set it up for me while I was asleep so when I woke up, I saw it! I was so happy! She's a funny mummy!

C: Unfortunately, we didn't get the house - probably a good thing as it was really expensive. Oh well, just keep looking...

S: I had a wonderful time being parent helper! Benn kept on biting me, Khye Jackson was very amusing, Amy kept on making me cakes, Katy was worried about Aiysha and Hannah when they had a fight. A lovely bunch of kids! I look forward to doing it again soon!

Favourite Baby: New dolls for my dolls house!

Meals: Lettuce Pancakes, Chicken Wings

2006-04-03 Monkeys!

A: Really enjoyed tennis this week as it wasn’t too hot! I am really getting to grips with my aeroplane wings. T is still being naughty though. Daddy took me to Bold Park in the afternoon while Mummy looked for houses – poor Mummy…I went on the slides with Daddy - I always went on the faster one, and watched Daddy come down really slowly - funny. We also hung underneath the bridge together like monkeys, and we banged into each other until we fell in!

Daddy took me to my make-up swimming lesson with Herdassa on Sunday – Daddy hasn’t seen a lesson for ages, and he was so proud, and he took some videos of it too! My torpedo and leg-kick with float is going so well, and I almost swan the 15 metres again without floats! I really like swimming now!

C: We found a gorgeous house, and have put an offer in. Crossed fingers! We’re not holding our breath though, as last time we were so disappointed…

S: The stress of house hunting! Aiysha did so well sitting in the car for most of the weekend, and she had her fair share of treats, especially when we had chips both days for lunch! We were so proud of her!

Meals: Clams (Pippies), Courgette Dish, Lettuce Pancakes, Steamed Prawns in Spring Onion Sauce

Favourite Baby: All of them!
