2007-03-12 My New Bike!
Aiysha: I got a new bike this weekend! Even though it is blue, I love it! Mummy and Daddy said I needed a new bike on Saturday when they saw that I was so big compared to my pink bike, so they phoned lots of people, and we got the first one we saw! My feet can't touch the ground, but I am growing so quickly that they will soon. When we got home, Daddy helped me a little, but I managed to cycle 10 metres all on my own! Mummy and Daddy were so proud. I went cycling yesterday, and I cycled 20 metres all on my own! it was amazing!
We also went to Trigg beach, and while Mummy and Clara Beanstalk walked along the top, me and Daddy played some tennis, and I hit the ball so far! We also dived into the sea, but it was quite cold. We also went for coffee and ice cream.
Last weekend we watched Daddy play in the WA Touch Rugby State Championships, and I was so proud because he won the whole tournament! He got a medal, and I saw him score some tries! I was so excited that I called for him all the time!
We also had a holiday on Monday which we spent relaxing by our pool. I did not really want to go anywhere - I was so happy just staying near our pool, as it was so warm.
I had visits from Jack Salt, Charlie, and Lauren for the first time this week - all of them swam in our pool, and it was so much fun! I also went to Lauren's this weekend, and she lent me a Pixel Chick game! I've had so much fun with it, and I want one for my birthday!
Uncle Dave sent me a Monkay, and Clara a pretty shirt! Thank you Uncle Dave!
Clara: Daddy looked after me on Saturday night, and I woke up 3 times. I was a little noisy, but he didn't get up. I loved my walk along the coast with Mummy, especially after Daddy tried to wake me up from my lovely sleep. He failed.
My big sister has been reading me stories when she goes to bed! It is so funny - she always kisses me!
C: I am so impressed with Aiysha's bike riding! She ahs done so well since the last time I saw her, and the new pike is perfect!
S: Not long now until the clocks go back - boo! Daylight saving here was brilliant! Winning the touch rugby tournament was amazing! Being state champions in such a big tournament is a nice feeling!

2007-02-24 Bushfire!
Aiysha: We had a really exciting weekend! It went past so quickly!
On Saturday, I had tennis lessons with Steve again, and we played so many funny games. In Cat and Mouse, I out ran everyone in the group, even though I am the youngest! I think I surprised them, and they were not ready for my sidestepping. Daddy went to the market, and also hit another car in the back, but at least he is alright. After lunch, Daddy and I did some writing practice, and I got so many points!
Daddy took me to Western Force, this time against the Lions! I asked Daddy if Auntie Lizzie playing! I'm a funny one! I really enjoyed the trip there! I love going on the train, and we talked about lots of things! Watching the game was noisy, but the Lions won, and I was happy. Daddy wasn't too happy though. I did monkey bars on the train on the way home, as the train was not too full, and we both looked out the window on the way back and spotted hippos and cars!
We drove home (I sat in the front without a car seat!), and just as we turned up to our road, we saw the biggest bush fire across the lake! We could even see it from our balcony, and when I got in, I went out to look at it! Daddy went out later to take some pictures with Grandpa Arthur, and they were a little worried it might come across the river...oh dear!
I was holding Clara on Sunday on the carpet while I was sitting down, and as I moved her to the carpet, I dropped her head on the carpet. I was so upset, and I shut myself in my room for so long, and I stopped people coming in by putting all my furniture behind the door. Daddy came to talk to me, then Mummy, and I still couldn't stop crying. In the end, I came out, and had some chicken wings, and I was better. Clara was fine too, which I was really glad about!
In the pool, Daddy played the eating game, where he sat on the rocks, and I told him what animal I was, and he had to decide whether he wanted to eat me or not. When he did, he dived in to try and get me! It was so funny!
Clara: My big sister dropped me on my head, but I don't mind! It is training for when Daddy picks me up! Daddy is calling me Narco, because he thinks I'm Narcoleptic, little does he know...tee hee...
C: My leg still hurts! Boo!
S: The bushfire just across the lake from our house was the most amazing sight I've seen in a long time! 30-40m high flames engulfing everything, driving through smoke filled roads next to our house. Very eerie how it was so close to our house, and we could actually hear the crackling of the wood as it was burning! We also watched a fire start, and finish! Also felt the heat blow across the lake.
Bumping our car was not so amazing...at least he apologised for flying off the handle...
