2010-08-16 Zoo and Bees!

Aiysha:
Last weekend we went to Perth Zoo, and I took loads of pictures, especially of the Orang-utans! They were so funny, and I must have taken about 50 pictures. Daddy said that there is no harm in taking lots of pictures – he said he took loads of pictures of a lizard in Malaysia, and Grandma Sue laughed at him – one of those pictures now hangs in Lowbarn bathroom. Anyway, I wanted to show my Indonesian teacher, as they are endangered animals. The rest of the zoo was brilliant, and Clog and I had such a laugh. We had a nice picnic, and played in the park too! We spent the whole day there, and was quite tiring!

This weekend, Caroline invited us to dinner at Joseph’s, and it was great fun! He had an electronic car which I helped Roxy drive, we had fish for dinner, and lovely chocolate cake and pavlova for pudding. It was such a nice meal! I can’t wait for them to come round again. Daddy re-strung Joseph’s guitar, and he started playing it – maybe one day we can play guitar together!

On Sunday, we decided to go up to Gin Gin to a bee farm, but there were no bees there apart from one small hive. There was a kangaroo there who shared our picnic. Her name was Tiger Lilly, and she was so cute! She seemed a bit lonely as her partner was killed by a car, which was sad. After eating loads of honey, we went to Gilderton and played on the beach – we got very wet, lost one of my thongs, but was really funny! It was a lovely place!
Clogger: I loved driving around in Joseph’s electric car – it was so funny! I got so wet at Gilderton that I ended up only wearing my bomber jacket! It was funny!

C: Gilderton is a lovely seaside down – I would love to go to Seabird too!
S: Saw Inception on Saturday night after going to the Sovereign Pub – what a dreadful place! Reminded Nick and myself why we detest the English pub culture! Movie was average, bordering on disappointing.

2010-07-28 Back To Uni

Aiysha: I fell off the beam again in my gym comp! Everybody seemed to! I got excellent marks in the bar (Daddy kept score, and I got top score in the group, and maybe second overall!) and vault, but I should have stayed on the beam. It was a great comp though, and I really enjoyed it!

Mummy has started making muffins – yummy! Mummy has started Uni again, but it won’t be for too long now. Clog and I are going to help her make things, and try out her lessons, which will be fun. I didn’t really want to go back to school, but I know I’ll enjoy it when I get there. Roxy also has to go in to ABC for 4 days a week, but she said she was going to be really brave.

I decided that I would try and make a machine out of babboo – I got Daddy to saw and drill sticks for me – it was really fun. In the end though, Daddy suggested using all my pieces to make a bird feeder, which we did! It was great, and was really fun to make.

I had my first guitar lesson with Daddy – it was fun, but hard work! I love my new guitar.

Clara: I’m going to be brave at day care! I’m going to miss Mummy though 

C: Not looking forward to the hard work after such a nice time off!

S: Aiysha did so well in her gym comp. She is doing well!
