2012-10-01 - Day 2 - Sunway Lagoon

Breakfast was lovely - coconut jam on toast! It was a bit hazy, and we watched a bit of Diary of a Wimpy Kid before we set off. We all were a bit jet lagged from the plane and the noisy night, so we all had a bit of a headache.

We arrived at Sunway Lagoon by taxi at 11am, ready for so much fun! And we had it! There were not many people there to start with, and we got on a big slide where we sat in our rings, and we did races around the lazy river. Then we decided to visit the Wild West area, and no one was there! We went on the rapids, the big toboggan slides, and the best thing was as soon as we got off, there was no queue so we went on again! Clara and I also spent ages in the small parks and small slides. It was so much fun!

Daddy wanted to go to the nature walk, so aswell as seeing the 2 big Tigers on the way in, we saw loads of others - a huge Tapir, and even naked mice!

For lunch we had satays, corn in a cup and the most amazing waffle, and ice cream.

Roxy fell over in the changing rooms and in the small park area - she was in the wars!

Daddy spotted a person smoking under a no smoking sign, with his small boy. Very strange. He also watched people go on the flying fox, which looked quite fun, but decided not to go on it as it was not natural enough.

By the time we got into the taxi, we were so tired. Daddy bargained the taxi driver down, but at the end gave him what he asked for, which was nice. I'm still not use to the bargaining. We went to dinner at our place, but it took forever - seemed like they had only one stove to cook! Mummy took Roxy to bed, and Daddy taught me how to play poker. Kway Teow, Coconut Curry, fish and chips (Roxy accidentally had hot sauce!) and more wedges which took another 45 minutes to cook!

Roxy was still up when we got in - cheeky sister! We watched a bit of Bruce Almighty before bed - there was nothing else on.

What a fun day!

2012-09-30 - Day 1 - Kuala Lumpur

Daddy moved logs with Rob, fixed the garage window, watched a bit of rugby, and had some lunch before we left to the airport! Busy man!

We left at 12 to the airport, and had our sandwiches after we checked in. When we got on the plane, we played pot luck, DS, charades and tucked into our junk food stash! Yummy!

It was dark when we landed, as it took around 6 hours, and it was hot! We were picked up at a really busy airport and brought to Aungun Hotel, next to a busy Jalan Alor, which was a little touristy. We were so tired we just went to the Thai Restaurant next door, and then back to the hotel to try and sleep. It was soooo noisy!

Aiysha and Daddy shared a bed, and spent the night fighting over the covers, but our room was pretty special, and the hotel people were really nice! One was called Vicky, and he was really funny with Clara! The towels were shaped like swans, and we had a large bowl for a sink! We even had our own computer!

Aiysha and Clara loved using the card to open our door and turn the lights on, and we loved being on the 3rd floor so we could use the elevator!

Our adventure has begun!

2012-09-25 Sleepover, Ready for Thailand!

Aiysha: Lauren and Lilly came over for a sleepover on Saturday night. It was loads of fun. We went bowling, and then we went to the games after, but I was a little disappointed with the prizes :-(

We are getting all packed up for Thailand, I can't wait!

We have been having parties at High Flyers, and it has been so much fun, now that the comps are over. Next year will be hard though, as I will be training 4 times a week at NDP-5! I can't wait, and I am already practicing the routines.

Gangnam Style!

Clara: I loved going bowling, and I actually won! It was great fun having Lauren and Lilly over, and I got to hang out with them!

Mummy and Daddy made home made pizzas when we got back, and they were sooooo nice! We got to stay up pretty late, and we did lots of stuff on their iPods.

It was fun, and I can't wait to have my friends round for a sleepover.

Mrs Pannell asked if anyone had seen Gangnam Style, and only I put my hand up! Funny!

C: Wow, so much to get ready for the holiday, AND we have a junk collection. Grandpa Arthur would love it!

S: Can't wait for Thailand!

2012-09-21 State Champs and Interschool! My Second Tooth!

Aiysha: I had my final State Champs competition, and it started at 7.30 in the morning! I had to get up really early to do my hair, and we got to Loftus in good time. All of us were a little cool going into the comps, and as the morning went on, we got better. I was a little disappointed in my bars, but I think I did the best vault of the whole season.

In the end, I got: 1st Vault, 3rd Bars, 3rd Beam, 2nd Floor. I actually got second overall, which means I am second best in WA for NDP-4, but I missed out on 1st by 1 point, which should have got on my bars! I was pretty pleased, and I have a great target for next year!

Winning 2 comps, and second in the 3rd makes me believe I can do so much more! I can't wait!

We had the Netball windup at Kings Park - it was a beautiful day, and it was crazy! So many games, nice food, and loads of kids in the park!

I had two days for my Interschool this week - Tuesday and Thursday. On Tuesday, I came 1st in my long throw, and unfortunately 2nd last long jump at 3.30m, which I wasn't too happy about, but I can work on that. I was so proud of my throw though! Good job we practiced the night before!

On Thursday, I ran a really good race, and I came 1st! It felt good! We had the flag relay, but came 3rd which was a little disappointing. Edgewater came last in the end, but got more points than last year. Team games let us down.

Clara: My second tooth came out so soon after my first one! How funny!

I loved the Netball windup - I was chosen to present the awards, and I loved going in the Kings Park sprinklers!

C: Well done in the States, we're so proud of you gymnastics this year! Well done!

S: A great race Paish! Well done!

2012-09-07 Faction Carnival! My First Tooth!

Aiysha: We had our faction carnival this week, and on Tuesday I can 1st in Long Throw, 2nd in Long Jump and 5th in 400m.

On Thursday, I had a tough sprint which I had trained lots for, and I was so pleased to come 2nd behind Monique. Our Year 5 girls relay team also came 1st, which was great. I got 2nd in the Year 5 Champion Girl - I was so pleased. I was second last year too! Next year I have something to aim for...

I really enjoyed it this year, and Mr. Gray did a fantastic job.

Clara: My first tooth! I am so happy, and I got $5!

In my first real faction carnival, I came 1st in the sprint and got chosen for the Grand Relay! I won my leg in the Grand Relay, but I forgot to hand the baton over, but we came second, which was great!

Batavia came first overall, which was fantastic. I think Batavia came first when Aiysha was in Year 1 too!

I helped Daddy clean the pool and spray roses which had lots of bugs on them.

C: Summer is slowly coming, can't wait. The girls ran brilliant in the carnival.

S: So happy for Clara and Aiysh in the carnivals - they both trained really hard! We found half a Bobtail Skink which was still alive. I had to step on it to put it out of its misery. Very sad.
