2013-12-25 Christmas Day!

Aiysha: I have been waiting for today to happen for the last 5 months! It is the first day I can do proper exercise with my leg! First, back-flip. Second, round-off back-flip. Third, handspring. Everything felt good - a bit puffed, but I need to get fitter, but other than that, I am so happy! I loved performing in front of Mummy, Daddy and Aiysha!

Presents! We still had loads, even though we are going to England tomorrow, but lots of them were really funny, and I got some great clothes!

Bike ride before breakfast, and had mango pancakes! Yummy!

Met with Hannah yesterday at Adventure World - went on the tunnel of terror, the mats, the mat races, the rocky river (Daddy banged his head on the bottom, poor Daddy...tee hee...) and the pedel cars. It was fun!

Merry Christmas everyone! Funny to see what England looks like on Christmas Day - will be there soon!

Clara: Rudolph ate all his carrots, a few maltesers, and I think Santa ate the only Lindor. The other reindeer's didn't eat much at all - they must have been full from the other houses.

Santa wrote some amazing things about Aiysha and I - made me feel so proud, and I made sure I reminded Aiysha to be good this year ready for next Christmas! Seriously Aiysha!

I was pretty pooped on my bike ride but the pancakes went down well - yummy.

Went to Adventure World yesterday, and I loved all the rides, especially the races. I didn't really want Daddy to go on the Abyss, but he did well. It was funny watching Aiysha and Mummy on the Power Surge - Aiysha loved it, Mummy clearly did not. Funny!

Last week we also went to Leapfrogs for pizza, and we went on a spider hunt - it was really scary, and I was surprised how brave Aiysha was, as she is normally soooo scared of spiders!

We wish you a Merry Christmas!

Claire: We seem to be spilling lots of things today - more than the whole year put together!

Yummy duck pancakes for dinner tonight!

See you guys in England soon!

Steve: The Abyss was amazing!

Hmmm, hope the weather clears up in England...

2013-12-05 Gail Meade Performance and Burswood!

Clara: I have been looking forward to our performance so much over the past few weeks. Mummy has been gathering all the different things I needed, and organising stuff, and practicing stuff in preparation for my show. I am so proud of Mummy, as it all looked pretty hard work. I spent a lot of time practicing my routines, and getting everyone to look at my routines to see where I can improve. Aiysha really helped me out with so many things - thank you!

On the night, it was so special. It was held at the Perth Convention Centre, and was in a real theatre! It was amazing! The crowd was huge, and there was a proper video camera videoing us! I was in 3 main dances - Reit Petit (Jazz), Bigger isn't Better (tap) and Fun Fun Fun (acro), plus the finale, and it was such a great event to be part of. Mummy, Daddy and Aiysha were amazed at how good it was. Florrie was in around 7 dances, and everything was so professional.

I am definitely doing dancing next year!

Our class was also given the Gnome Award for cleanliness in the school grounds. I went up to collect the gnome. Funny!

Aiysha: The performance was amazing. Considering we just did the Edgewater Talent Show, we all thought it was going to be a little like that, but no way! It was the most professional show I've ever seen, I was so lucky to be able to watch it, and my sister was in it! I was so proud!

C: Amazing, lost for words! Can't wait for the photos and videa.

S: Brought a tear to my eye! Amazing stuff Rox, keep it up!

2013-12-15 Merit Certificate, Great Escape, Adventure World and Angels

Aiysha: Wow, what a couple of weeks. I was amazed that I was given my last merit certificate for my efforts at Edgewater. I am already and assistant prefect, but to get a certificate aswell was really nice.

Yesterday, we went to volunteer at Aspire Angels! A couple of weeks ago, we filled up a box full of food and other stuff, and handed it to a team to divide out on Friday. Yesterday, we collected two of the boxes and we were sent to deliver the boxes to poor families who cannot afford much at Christmas. The first family was south of the river who couldn't speak much English, but were really happy to receive their hamper. The second family was past Joondalup, so Daddy decided to drop me off at Adventure World so I could meet the rest of the gym gang for a day out.

It was hot hot hot! It must have reached around 40C yesterday. A lot of the girls went on the roller coasters, and I went on my first roller coaster, which was pretty fun. There was a new one there which I am going to dare Daddy to go on. It was a fun day, but really hot!

Clara: The second delivery was to another family who didn't speak much English apart from the teenage girl, who was so happy to receive our box. It was a very different thing to do, and a really nice thing to do for people less lucky than us. I hope we do it again next year!

I was one of two girls invited to Bryce's party at Great Escape. It was a bit cold, but really fun as Georgia went aswell. Claire and Georgia also cam to mine before the school disco, which was really funny. We went in the pool and played prisoners. It was pretty fun!

Went to the Wannaroo show, and Claire came along. We went on some great things such as the bouncy ropes, and we both won prizes! It was a very funny night, and we even had doughnuts!

Look at Smokey! Ha ha! He looks cool! Well, Daddy does not think so.

C: Hot days, summer is here! Went to the beach today, which was lovely and hot.

S: Lovely to be involved in delivering gifts - felt like Santa! Hot days, but little wind. Went down last week for 4 hours waiting for wind to come in. Met Grant, and spent the time chatting to him, as the wind never came in. What a shame!

Went to The Belmont Business Awards evening - very posh, dinner jacket, but very funny evening.

2013-11-18 Operation, Talent Show & Interschool

Aiysha: I have waited a long time, but the day has finally arrived when I will be removing the pins from my broken ankle! Daddy and I have had a lot of time in this hospital! The operation went well, and I saw my cool doctor Dr. Lim, who said everything went well. Was pretty stiff and a little painful after, but I managed to go home so I didn't have to stay in hospital.

Finally I can count down to Christmas Day, the first day I am allowed to get back to normal sport. And a week after I will be in the Alps!

Clara's Talent Show was excellent - I felt the dance should have got first place, as it was so dynamic and had lots of great moves in it.

I also went to watch her Interschool and she did so well in both her races - 2nd in her sprint, and she gave Edgewater such a head start in the grand relay coming 1st by a long way! Well done Roxy!

Thank you so much Joy for my MacBook! It is fantastic, even though I don't know how to use it yet! Daddy uses his, and he thinks it is great. Maybe you can show me a few things.

We went camping with the Shepherds and the Watsons - was great fun, but a little crowded. At the end of the weekend, the sandbank broke on the beach, and swept loads of people out to sea - it was even on the news!

Clara: I had my Talent Show and Interschool! Mummy, Daddy, and our coach / choreographer Aiysha were able to come to our assembly and watch. We did a great performance, and I was really pleased and proud I was able to do the dance with Lauren, Maddie and Danni who are all in Aiysha's class. We actually came 3rd place, which I was really happy with. Best of all it was really fun, and I got to do loads of my gymnastics! I felt a bit sorry for Aiysha who was not able to be part of it, but she did so much to help us with our moves - thank you so much Aiysha!

Our school fete was pretty cool. I didn't win too much, but watched Aiysha in the choir, and tried Bat The Rat. I also rode a dinosaur which was funny, and watched some dance performances.

Had my Interschool with 3 other schools, and unfortunately Edgewater came last. However, in my sprint I came 2nd which I was really pleased about, and in the relay I came 1st by a long way, and we just came 3rd.

I can't wait until Aiysha can do her full gymnastics with me again - I really miss her doing all her stuff, but also she always gets me to do training - when she is back, I am going to put HER through training, tee hee :-)

Aiysha also got an award for being assistant prefect - she was so proud, and so was I :-)

C: Clara's dance was so good, and I was sad to miss her Interschool, but we all watched it on video! Aiysha is so brave with her leg - not long to go now Paish!

S: Keep going Paish, you are so close! Well done Roxy with you running!

2013-10-30 Day One

Aiysha: Phew, lucky Daddy is home now to take me to all my appointments!

Clara: It's going to be fun having Daddy drop us of and pick us up!

I showed off the new school uniform off in front of the whole school! I was very proud...

C: Oh no, Daddy is going be home messing up the place! He better not!

S: After 8 years at the Department of Transport, and pretty much 8 years in Perth, it is time to go for it with my web development business! Can't wait!

Really sad saying goodbye to everyone at Transport, but no doubt I will keep in touch with a lot of them.

Had a great send off by everyone - loads of people showed up to my goodbye tea and speech, so was really touched. Who knows, I may be back...

Scary stuff starts now!

2013-10-13 Back In Beautiful Perth!

We all made sure we were up at 4.45am to drive to the airport, and we got there in great time. We had some breakfast, then played loads of games on the flight. Roxy wrote a huge diary about our holiday, and it turned into a book! It was amazing!

We arrived back to beautiful weather. After a bite to eat, we went to pick up our bro Smokey Joe! We had a look at all the other bunnies, and but it was soooo great to have Smokey back! We love him so much.

Sweet sauce chicken treat, and finally a movie!

What a holiday! We all had so much fun, and even though we're back, it is beautiful here, and we are all looking forward to the Summer!

2013-08-12 - Day 8 (Saturday) - Coastal Tour

Our last day - no worlds today. Decided to take a tour, across the border to NSW, and visited the Natural Bridge, which was an amazing walk through the jungle. Beautiful waterfalls, trees and undergrowth. On the way we also went to the Hinze Dan, which was, er, big.

We had a lunch at a lovely cafe, and then just happen to go past Tropical Fruit World - funny! Daddy wanted to go there all holiday, and just when he thought there was no chance, we pass it by accident! Had some nice ice creams there, and walked around. Nice lizards!

Drove to Coolangatta and sat on the grass on the hill watching breaching whales - unbelievable! A few lizards too! We decided to stay for an italian dinner after finding some pressies for Aiysha and Clara's friends.

Back late, and spent out last night packing.

2013-08-11 - Day 7 (Friday) - Wet and Wild

Could this beat yesterday - would be pretty amazing if it did!

Hmmm, very crowded from the start - hottest day of the week, so not surprising. However, we had a plan! As we saved money on our flights using our points, we decided to purchase the Fast Track All Day ticket - this meant we had priority on all rides, and could get to the front of the queues without getting into the big queues! We felt a bit bad about this, but so glad we did it, as the queues were huge. We must have saved at least 3 hours of lining up!

Rides included - Kamikaze, Tornado (like the Green Room), Black Hole, Sidewinder, Aqua-Racer (Daddy and Roxy racing on mats), Aqua-Loop (just Daddy similar to Wedgie, with a mat strapped to his back) and Mammoth Falls. We went on them again and again, it was amazing fun! We stopped for lunches and ice creams, then got back to it right until the end of the day. What a day!

Roxy decided to do the Mach 5 - a ride which she did on her own, with a massive drop! From being scared of the log flume to doing one of the scariest rides in any park, it was amazing! Aiysha said she wouldn't even go on it!

Stopped off at Laurels Cottage for pizza, then hope for a goood sleep!

2013-08-10 - Day 6 (Thursday) - White Water World

Had to take it easy today with Aiysha's leg, so went to white water world - fail!

Hydro coaster, green room, head banger, green snake, wave pool, RIP, Little rippers (one lady couldn't get out of her ring - funny, sort of)- crazy rides! It was a bit chilly, but it was sooooo much fun! We were the last people to go on the hydro coaster, the only ride to go uphill by magnets! Amazing rides all day, and the queues were not that big!

I decided to go on the Wedgie - sheer drop out of a capsule - that was pretty scary stuff, but great fun!

Had our snacks, some burgers, but ran out of time to get our ice creams!

What a day - so much better that what were expecting!

Dreamworld was next door, but full of roller coasters - not what we fancied at all.

Smart Ass again!

2013-08-09 - Day 5 (Wednesday) - Sea World

We were all looking forward to Sea World, and it was every bit as good as we thought it was going to be! The dolphin show was amazing, with no unnecessary tricks, and we learned a lot - we were all amazed at what they did, it was something else! We had fish and chips right above the dolphin sanctuary, and watched them while we ate - amazing!

We went on the cable car and the monorail around the park, got our photo taken on the log flume - Clara is getting more use to the scary rides, saw the baby polar bears (well Daddy didn't), watched the shark feeding, went on the pull-up ropes, as Aiysha thought she could beat Daddy and Clara - unlucky!

We got some food to feed the stingrays which was amazing - they just sucked the food out of our hands! We ended the day watching dolphins in their pen, which was lovely.

Aiysha's leg was a bit swollen at the end of the day, which was worrying. Too much walking, so much to see!

No movie again! Smart Ass, risotto and other stuff! Everyone so tired!
