2013-09-28 My Cast Is Off!

Aiysha: My cast is finally off, and I should be able to walk pretty soon! I can't believe it! It feels really funny, and I am still going to gymnastics. We have a sleepover too at HighFlyers in our onesies! I got a giraffe.

School holidays has started - cool!

The Dockers lost the Grand Final to Hawthorn Hawks - hmmm, not sure whether I like footy or not, but it was fun watching those men scramble around on the floor!

We had the netball wind up at Hengs Chinese Restaurant - the food was okay, but a food fight was started. It was such a stormy week, it was scary! The wind must have been the strongest we've had for years!

Clara: I love my dancing - every night I keep showing everyone, and Daddy is even trying to be like me - he isn't very good though, but makes me laugh!

Daddy fed Smokey some lettuce the other day - we all told him off! Lucky for smokes!

C: Daddy, why did you feed Smokey lettuce! What were you thinking?

S: Er...huh?

2013-09-20 Daddy's Day, Turtle Bike Ride

Clara: Daddy and I went on a huge bike ride on Sunday! On the way to Neil Hawkins, we saw a huge turtle! We guided it off the track. We then saw 2 bob tail lizards - one of them kept on looking like he wanted to bite us! Not friendly! We then stopped at Neil Hawkins to walk along the bridge, then rode all the way round the lake to Rotary Park! We were saving ourselves for the ice cream van, but it wasn't there! We were pretty sad, but decided to play some games until it arrived and it did! We both got Choc-tops with flakes. We then finished the bike ride, and I was so tired! We were almost 3 hours! It was so much fun.

Aiysha: For Fathers Day, we woke Daddy up with our puzzle present and our home made gifts! He then went for a run, then we made him pancakes!

We went out to Kailis Brothers in the evening, which was a great surprise for Daddy. Roxy and I had lovely fish and chips, and Mummy and Daddy had some strange dishes - Baramundi wings and zuchini chips - wierd! We even had a colouring competition, which amazingly I won - Roxy is such a good drawer...

S: Amazing day - thanks guys, it was such a laugh. Baramundi wings, what a treat!

2013-08-16 My Poor Leg

Aiysha: At gymnastics I broke my ankle on the  trampoline. It was quite sore after and I have to keep a cast on it for 6 weeks. I had an operation and had 2 screws put into my ankle. I stayed in the hospital for 3 days. I was cool in the hospital because i had my own TV and I could turn it on anytime I wanted to. My friends at school also made a card for me. But I miss the Lightning Carnival and the Inter school Carnival. I will miss lots of gymnastics and netball. i will have my screws taken out in 3 months. i cant do any sport for 5 months. I was really sad I broke it.

Clara: I was so sad for Paish! She is so brave.

C: Poor Paish, i can't believe it! She is so brave.

S: Everyone is feeling sad for you Paish - you had some great visitors, and so much support.

2013-08-11 Division 3 Now! My Comeback Gym Comp!

Aiysha: I had my 2nd gymnastics competition on Saturday. I got third overall. I place third on floor, 2nd on bars and 2nd on vault. I didn't place on beam because I fell off on my leap. I was happy with myself. I think I quite well.

Dani had a 80's party it was really fun. We had to dress up as 80ish as we could. Some of the costumes were really good. She had 80's music. She also had really nice food. We play charades, musical statues and pass the parcel. It went till 9:00pm.

Zoe had a sleepover at mine after gymnastics. We had lasagna for dinner and ice-cream and strawberries for pudding. We watched some really funny videos and ate lots of chocolate. I really enjoyed having her over. We had lots of fun.

Clara has gotten us all into Sudoku. I find the challenging and fun. I love doing them when i have time. Mum prints them off for us.

Lauren came over today and we played charades and we went to the beach. We played cricket at the beach and it was really low tide. Then we went home and played charades. Me and Lauren were on a team playing Dad and Clara and obviously WE WON.

Unfortunately Joseph is moving down to Albany to live. He is moving down to Albany so his dad can work at a school. we are all really sad that he is leaving.

We moved up two divisions, and in our first two netball games it was 27-27 and we should have won as we were leading right up until the last 30 seconds and we gave the ball away. In the second game we lost 29-24 but again we should have won as we were really careless. It is great how we are playing better teams now.

Clara: I love Sudoku! I think everyone is getting into it.

C: Well done a gymnastics Paish - what an improvement! Why is Sudoku so hard?

S: Amazing transformation Paish from the last comp - well done, so proud!

2013-07-25 Badge Test, Smokey The Sprinter, Chatterbox

Aiysha: We had our badge test this weekend - normally the first comp of the year. for some reason, I did not do very well at all. It was held at Loftus, and I fell of my bars, fell off my beam, did a good vault and my floor was okay. I was pretty disappointed, as I have a lot to do for the next comp. Mummy and Daddy thought I could have done better.

At least I passed my badge though!

Clara: Smokey is soooo fast. He has started to sprint around the lounge. He does other stuff like eat the rattan boxes and leaves droppings everywhere, but that is okay - Mummy sweeps them up, tee hee.

I also made a chatter box for my news - it was funny when I did it to the class, but I made sure I did say nice things when they opened up the chatterbox.

Mummy got me a baby to look after, which was almost like having a baby sister...but not quite.

C: I loooooove Smokes! Well done passing your test Paish!

S: Hmmm, lots to do before the next comp Paish! Well done on passing your test though.

2013-07-18 Welcome Smokey!

Clara: I love him so much! It is just the best thing! I hope he meets Lauren the Lizard!

Aiysha: I absolutely adore Smokey he is sooooooooo cute. He is a lovely pet. I am soooooo glad that Clara chose to have a bunny rabbit as a pet. I love him.

C: I think I love him more than the girls

S: Another cool dude in da house!

2013-07-16 Wonderful Walpole!

Our trip to Walpole was awesome! We had so much fun in such a short time, and it felt like ages!

Stopped off at the cafe on the way down - ate some lovely donuts and had coffee - James recommended it to Daddy saying it was brilliant, and he was not wrong!

We stayed at Que Sera Sera chalets, which was next to a beautiful river and our cabin was set in a field and had a lovely fireplace. Each night we would go onto the balcony and listen to the sounds and look at the stars.

While we were down there we did loads of stuff:

• Wilderness Tour - we saw surfing dolphins, whales off the coast, and we ate the famous Wilderness Tingle Cake, which was the loveliest cake we had for a long time - we ate all of it! Bit embarassing, but who cares!

• Cooking - we pretty much cooked every night, as there was nothing in town, and only one IGA where we bought all our food. It was a really small town, and pretty funny.
• Went to a lovely winery where we sat in the rain, but we had lovely soup
• At night we used Daddy's camera to create our names and other shapes - it was cool!
• We had races in our canoes every night - it was sooo much fun! First night it was Daddy and Aiysha vs Mummy and Clara, next night it was Mummy and Aiysha, and on the last night it was Mummy and Clara. We had so much fun
• Gymnastics, of course!
• Visited the toffee farm and had the most amazing ice cream!
• Climbed up the tallest mountain, and it was soooo windy! Didn't stop me doing hand stands though
• Went on the tree top walk
• Visited Haughty Towers for some lunch and scones!
• Set up a fire every night - it was pretty hot!
• Watched Planes, Trains and Automobiles

We did loads of other stuff - it is so much fun going away as a family, it does not really matter what we do, we have lots of laughs :-)

2013-07-09 School Holidays!

Aiysha: We had an easy netball game this week - we won easily, and Daddy said I did some clever running! I am trying really hard to change direction when my marker does not expect it.

Clara: I love the school holidays - we get to lie in, stay up late and do fun stuff!

C: Thank goodness the rugby is over!

S: Lions won test series, fun watching with Dave though.

2013-06-28 I am 11!

Aiysha: I had the just the coolest party! We've been thinking about what to do for quite a while now, but in the end I definitely wanted a sleepover, and I really like the idea of shooting people in the dark, so we went ot Darklight Laser, which was sooooo funny! The first game we were on our own, and we were all getting use to it. I managed to do really well, and me and Daddy kept on shooting each other. Mummy and Roxy stuck together, and kept on bumping into Daddy first. The second game we had a choice of teams or individuals, and we all chose individuals. However, Daddy's plan backfired. he tried to make deals with everyone, and in the end everyone turned against him. Amanda and I decided to follow him around, and just shot him all the time. He did get annoyed and very hot running away from us - it was really funny.

I invited Amanda, Grace, Zoe (all from gym), and then Lauren, Danni, Maddie, Monique. I said Roxy could bring a friend, but she was so cool she just hung around the big kids!

We had a BBQ of chicken wings, sausage rolls and garlic bread, and finished off with an ice-cream cake - yummy!

We played charades, catch in the dark, and played on iPods. Amanda, Roxy and I watched a bit of the Stick It gym movie on Amanda's iPad, and then we all fell asleep.

It was such a fun party. In the morning we had pancakes, and just hung around until people got picked up.

Clara: Aiysha's friends were so nice to me! I loved going round Darklight with Mummy! And I especially loved shooting Daddy!

C: Great bunch of girls at Aiysha's party! Lots of laughs! Lovely weather this winter - hardly any rain!

S: I'm gonna get you Aiysha and Amanda! You just wait!

Australia won second test - roll on next week!

2013-06-16 Tough Netball Game!

 

Aiysha: We just had the toughest netball game this year! It was against North Beach, and we played so badly in the first half losing 7-3, but in the 3rd quarter, we played really well and overtook them, winning the whole game by 22-17. It was so exciting. It's going to be tough moving up a division! Maddie got player of the week.

Clara: Went to see my bunny on Saturday - it was sooo cute! Aiysha also bought me a treasure box which looks like a book with her Smiggles voucher - thank you Aiysha!

C: Winter is here! Frost on the ground and everything!

S: Lions first test next week - so far unbeaten. Still don't know who I am supporting!
