2013-12-30 (Mon) - Back to 60

Clara and Aiysha had a great morning with Anika, they had so much fun with the train set, and everyone was so sad to say goodbye to each other when we had to leave.

Didn't really knowing what to expect at 60. A lot tidier than I thought, but fridge was mouldy - spent a loooong time cleaning it once we got back from our big shopping trip. Made sweet sauce chicken for everyone - pretty nice eating some familiar food for a change.

Went to the Rec at dusk, watched The Guard while Petra put Anika to bed. Great to see everyone and finally meet Anika - must get them on our next ski trip!

2013-12-29 (Sun) - Hutchie, Petra and Anika!

Daddy woke early and did exercises at 5.30am, then Paish and Daddy made pancakes for everyone which was fun. Paish and Roxy went running on the frost in bare feet before breakfast and shopping at Fosse Park. Very cold, some great sales on though, especially Sports Direct! Could be as good as TK Maxx! Left overs for lunch, then said goodbye to Lizzie and Nick before Hutch, Petra and Anika arrived. We walked in the park and walked down Willoughby Lane after they had a bite to eat, then had more leftovers for dinner and pudding. Played flounders until we all went to bed. Daddy seems to have solved Grandpa's light problem, which Nick won't be happy about.

2013-12-28 (Sat) - Christmas Day Part 2

Daddy went for a crisp run, but lovely blue sky and icy. Girls played on trains until we went to Bradgate Park for a lovely walk to see castles, deer, birds of prey, do running races and have leicester cheese sandwiches. It was lovely and sunny too, which was great!

When we got back, we opened presents, then had our Christmas lunch, and opened more presents under the tree before we played charades - Lizzie, Claire, Sue and myself against Arthur, Paish, Clara and Nick - we won, very funny game. Then we had a treasure hunt that Clara and Lizzie won.


Thank you everyone for being soooo generous! It was so much fun having a second Christmas at Lowbarn!

2013-12-26 (Thu) / 27 (Fri) - Our Arrival

We leave today! We packed up - as usual, Daddy was last, even though I offered to help him. We showed Ellis, Seran and Gaynor around as they were house sitting, and off we went, well, when they sent the right taxi.

Met Daddy's friend Jon and his family in the airport as they were on the same flight. 1st leg (Perth-KL) - Pong - movies Pacific Rim, I am Sam. 2nd leg (KL to Paris) - Despicable Me 2, Stoker, Justice League.  3rd leg (Paris to B'ham) - Croisants in airport, crazy airport, smugglers and everything!

Finally met Lizzie , Sue and Arthur - and it was COLD! Got home, and Daddy and Mummy went to pick up Nick at lunch - lovely to see everyone. Went to the park and played tag, and had lasagne for dinner. Bed early at 7.30 for everyone!

The cold didn't stop us from doing gymnastics on the lawn though!
