2014-06-15 Tough Netball, Faction Cross Country, Looms, World Cup Soccer, Flocks of Birds + Turtles

Aiysha: Netball is pretty tough nowadays. Everyone is so tall, and the other teams definitely like to push people around. We are doing okay, but need to be more aggressive. We lost by quite a lot this week, but I enjoyed it because my shooting went really well after practicing all week, every day. Have to practice more next week!

Clara: We had the faction cross-country competition, and I won it! Daddy took a video, and you can watch it if you want to! It was fun though, and made all the training worthwhile!

We could not play tennis, so Daddy took me down to the beach for some throwing practice. We also stood in the sea, which was freezing, and I also did a no-handed cartwheel off the ledge. It was fun.

The last couple of weeks Daddy and I have been going for bike rides in the evening. We like cycling to Neil Hawkins to spot the turtles, but lately we have seen some huge flocks of birds flying over us as they migrate from one place to another.

I love making bracelets with rubber bands. I am getting really good at it too! I getting like Daddy!

C: Woke up for the England game today - lost 2-1 to Italy. Very disappointing, but worse I had to listen to Steve's whinging about the team.

S: England's defence was rubbish! Why do they not close the attackers down? I don't get it. We deserved to get scored against, but our attack was good. Same old England.

2014-06-12 Double Sleepover and The Harveys

Clara:  We had a pupil free day on Friday, so Daddy took me on a tour around Perth to his meetings! First we did a bit of work, well, Daddy did while I made stuff with plasticine, then we went to lunch at Caffissimo in Perth. It was funny when Daddy had to stand up and talk about himself. It would have been a nice lunch if they didn't put mayonnaise in my sandwich. We then went for a meeting at IMTrade where I read my book - this was where Daddy broke down last week with a flat battery. We then decided to go to Kings Park for a walkabout. We got an ice cream, and also walked along the suspended bridge! It was a very funny day!

Aiva came for a sleepover this weekend aswell. It was really funny. Mummy took me and Aiva for a bike ride while Daddy took Casey and Aiysha for a bug hunt for their insect projects.

We all went bowling after dinner on Saturday night. We went into teams - me and Aiva, Aiysha and Casey, and Mummy and Daddy. No one wanted Daddy to win, but he won - BOOOOOOO!

Aiysha: It was great having Casey over for a sleepover. Looking for bugs for my Dichotomous key was fun, going bowling was fun, and just mooching around was fun. We had pancakes in the morning, and Casey stayed until the Harvey's came round for lunch. Joseph played with us, and we all got on really well. It was fun!

C: Seeing the Harvey's was great, especially Roxanne! Sounds like a nice life down in Albany, we really must get down there.

S: Brrrr, sounds cold down in Albany, but lovely to hear all the places we went to visit when I took Mum and Dad down!

2014-05-28 I Am One! My First No Handed Cartwheel!

Smokey Jonz: I had such an awesome birthday - surrounded by women, kael, and I even got a new hammock in my inside hutch - I love it!

Clara: Smokey had such a great birthday, we went straight to the pet shop after school to get his hammock, and Smokey even tried it out in front of us. He was a bit nervous though!

I also did my first no-handed cartwheel today on our lawn going down the slope - I was so happy! I did hurt my foot though.

Daddy and I have got into the habit of going for bike rides in the dark - it is so cool, as we have our lights on!

Aiysha: We lost at netball, but we should have won. We just need our strongest team back, and it will be awesome!

Had inter-school cross country this week too, and I came 151st, but 3rd overall from Mater Dei - I did enjoy it really, and we also spent the day hanging around, and missed school.

C: Our renovations are done! everything looks amazing! Our guests are very lucky!

S: Well done Paish, and well done Rox, and er, well done Smokes!

2014-05-25 Party Party Party!

Aiysha: We went to see the Muppets Movie, which was really funny. Movies aren't that bad...

Clara: I went party crazy this weekend with both Jarod's party at the Joondalup climbing wall, and Oceanne's party at her house.

C: Laundry drama with the shower screen, and the taps were leaking - help!

S: Took some ladies to Leapfrogs Cafe to gossip about a clients product packaging. It was funny, some nice cakes and coffee too!

I also joined the half-marathon around Edgewater Lake for about 500m - got a few claps, which was funny!
