2016-12-27 Adventure World, Christmas Day, Boxing Day!

Clara: I love this time of year - we get Adventure World, Christmas, Boxing Day, then we go away, then it is my birthday! This year is extra special as we are going back to England and then going skiing!

Adventure World was great - we went on loads of rides, the Kracken wasn't as busy as last year so we went on it loads, and we raced in pairs down the tube rides! It was funny! I also had fun in the kids park. When we left, we got some donuts and ice creams - yummy!

On Boxing Day we spent the day packing ready for our trip. We then drove up to Yanchep for a BBQ and a bit of cricket. Not many people were there, but there were loads of kangaroos!

Merry Christmas everyone! England here we come!

Aiysha: We got up early to open our stockings, and the we opened some of our presents under the tree before we went to the beach - thanks everyone for all your kind gifts! We played our Christmas songs again over and over - I am so fed up with Daddy's singing!

At Adventure World I saw Lauren and Hannah, and also some gym friends that I went on a few rides with before lunch. It was a very funny day.

Merry Christmas everybody!

C: A windy but beautiful Christmas! Adventure World was also very empty!

Merry Christmas!

S: The Abyss was pretty cool again, and the Kracken was hilarious!

Merry Christmas!

2016-12-08 PEAC, Burning Fruit Cinema Ad, BF BBQ

Clara: I was pretty nervous going to PEAC. Daddy took me to ECU, and only 3 other Edgewater Primary kids were selected from all schools north of the city. It was so exciting. Daddy had to leave me to go to an exhibition, and then a talk about PEAC, and then he picked me up at the end of the day. We did so much cool stuff throughout the day, and I probably learned more in one day than a whole week at Edgewater. I can't wait until it starts!

Aiysha: We got our outfit for the touch rugby tournament - it is exactly like the HKFC rugby team colours! Funny!

S: Julz and I took our Burning Fruit team to Burswood Outdoor Cinema to watch our advert and also watch Dr Strange. We had snacks and hotdogs too. It was a very cool thing to do at Christmas, having all our guys there. It was fun! The ad was pretty cool, a bit cooler than the film I thought.

I also invited all our guys over for a BBQ and a swim - Harrison, Henry, Dustin, Julz, Jason and Tammy came along, which was good fun. We played a bit of catchy in the pool too!

C: 1 more week of school! Yahoo!

2016-12-18 Reports, Christmas Concert

Aiysha: I was soooo happy with my report! I got all A's! I'm happy with that.

I was so proud of Rocky Roo in her concert - she did so well! I also liked going to Grilld for dinner just before!

I've finished school! I finished a week before Clara and Sean has already come round to hang out. It was fun.

Clara: I have rehearsed so hard and re-watched all my videos ready for my concert!

I loved my concert this year - so many good numbers, and it was so much fun!

C: What a report! Well done Paish!

Amazing end of year concert this year - one of the best - Clara, you danced sooo well, and we are so proud of you! Can't wait for the pictures and video to come out!

S: Takes after her father I think...

Amazing concert - Christmas starts here! Well done Clara, you are soooo good!

2016-12-11 My First Rugby Tournament! Honours Plus Dancing Awards!

Aiysha: I had my first ever rugby 7s tournament, and I was so nervous! I bet everyone was! It definitely took a while for everyone to get into it, and by the end of the weekend we were so proud of ourselves! I can't wait until next year when we all take it seriously.

The order of the games was as follows: Northern Territory 2-2, Neddies 4-0, Wests 4-2, Swans - 4-0,

We managed to make it to the semi finals, and we played Neddies (semi) - we lost 5-0, but were so proud we came 3rd out of the 5 WA teams!

Finished School! Wahoo! I am now officially in Year 10!

Clara: Dancing presentations - 2 honours plus awards! I was so proud. We had an awards evening where I got to go up on stage and be presented with my awards. This was to replace the awards at the concert.

C: Oh I don't like my little girl being tackled like that!

S: Coaching was interesting, but fun! Let's see what happens next year!

2016-11-20 Burning Fruit Wins Awards! Contact Rugby, Sleepovers! Kmart!

Clara: I had a sleepover at Aaliyah's with Jazmine, Aiva. Lovely blow up beds! Walkie talkies!

I got into PEAC! This is a special course kids who are high achievers - we took a test a few months back, and the results came back and only 4 of us made it in! Georgia was also one who got in.

Aiysha: Sleepover at  Keeley's in a tent. Not comfy! We also got smashed in netball this week. 1st Contact rugby training from Chad and Adam.

I finally got my first job - at KMart as a check out chick! Well, various jobs actually...here I am in action!

C: We went to watch a film called Arrival while the girls went for their sleepovers - Very funny night - Santa Fe, and almost got done for speeding trying to get to the cinema! Doh!

S: Best Customer Service, Best 5-15 employees. Amazing!

2016-11-07 Faction Carnival, Halloween and Pool! Room Escape! Keliedescope!

Clara: I was sooooo excited about the Faction Carnival! Aiysha actually helped out on the day again, which was great.

I was in the lead for Champion Girl going into the carnival, so I needed to make sure that I did well so I had a good chance to win Champion Girl. I managed to win my sprint, we came second in the grand relay, and we won the year 4 girls relay. In the end I managed to get Champion Girl again with maximum points, which I was so proud of. Aiva managed to get runner up, which was really good.

Aiysha: We had the best netball game last week against Panthers, one of the best sides in Spring and a team my friend Abbi plays for. It was such a close game, and we were down by around 4 going into the last quarter. However, we smashed it in the last quarter, and in the end won by 2! It was one of the most exciting games I've ever played in, and all the Mums on the sideline were so loud!

Touch rugby is going really well, and we are actually winning games! We have learned so much, and we are improving every time we play! Dady keeps introducing new complicated moves, I just hope we can keep up!

Well don Clara on your Faction Carnival - you did soooo good!

C: Clara was amazing at Faction Carnival! We are soooo proud of you!

Joondalup had a festival called Keliedescope which was all about light - it was amazing! Just wish we didn't have to wait for so long for food.

S: Awesome stuff Roxy Roo! A true champ!

Connolly Primary Fete! Amazing risotto!

Our second attempt at Room Escape - Andrea, Connor, Harrison and Julz - an Egyptian puzzle this time - we finally got out - Wahoo!

2016-10-24 Touch Rugby, Casey Leaving, Spring Netball!

Aiysha: Wow, touch rugby has started on Fridays, and we managed to pull a team together - Violana, Jenna, Olivia, Lily, Maddie, Asha and Tatiana. Vio's sister Michaela may play too! Who would have thought we'd get a team together!

Spring netball continues and we've had some really close games too! I love our team!

Casey left this week to France - I'm going to miss her soooo much!

Clara: Its a shame my dancing is on at the same time as Touch Rugby on Fridays - I love touch!

C: Let's see if we can meet with Casey in France when we go!

S: Some pretty good players playing on Fridays - nice to be playing again!

2016-10-18 Applying for Jobs, Rugby, Storms, Term Starts

Clara:  I reorganised my room and printed a whole load of pictures to stick up in my room - I love it!

Aiysha: We have been settling back home after such an amazing holiday in Hong Kong. We even went up to kick the ball around - one time, a guy called Chad drove by and told us about a touch rugby tournament up in Joondalup on Fridays that starts in a couple of weeks. I'll see who is interested, but I am definitely going! Sounds like fun!

I've started applying for jobs and spent a lot of time doing my CV with Mum and Dad. It looks pretty good at the moment, so I'll see what happens.

S: We went out for a night time picnic! It was in the car, and Mummy was out. We decided to take all our food down to the coast and watch the storms. There was some torrential rain, and it was really cool! It was cut short though, as Mummy came back early and we had to leave as she was locked out.

C: Sounds like the night time picnic was fun - sad I missed it!

2016-10-05 Day 9 (Wednesday): Tennis, Pool & Goodbye HK :-(

Clara: Man it was a hot day today! Even though it was only 30, the humidity was incredible! Uncle Dave and Daddy played tennis first at 10am, and when we met them they were drenched in sweat! We played a bit more, but we all had to take a lot of drinks!

Daddy and I then went to the pool, and we set ourselves the target of drinking 4 big cups of water as soon as we can so we rehydrated - we managed to do that, so we felt we were okay for our flight.

We ended up having a light lunch at the club after a fun dip in the pool, and then headed back to our flat. We did a last bit of shopping for Mopiko and went to see Grandad - he was looking better. Uncle Dave then came and helped us with our stuff and take us to Central. It was great to see Uncle Dave again, and can't wait to annoy him at Christmas!

Sweet sauce chicken!

Aiysha: I am sad that we're leaving Hong Kong, and not going to be seeing Uncle Dave until Christmas! But we got something to look forward to!

When we got back to Perth, we almost forgot where our car was parked! Luckily Mummy remembered. It was a bit sad being back as we had such an exciting time.

We went straight to sleep, and then went to throw the rugby ball around after lunch which was fun.

Sweet sauce chicken!

C: Lovely to spend so much time in Hong Kong, and we saw some amazing things! Thank you so much Dave, Kee and Grandad!

S: Thanks guys! Truly amazing holiday!

Flight movies were a disaster - changed them 4 times before settling on some eye popcorn with Captain America. How sad...

2016-10-04 Day 8 (Tuesday): Shopping & Dim Sum

S: Met Sally Wong when we went for our French Breakfast delivery - lovely lady, and amazing English! After breakfast we set off for our last bit of Wan Chai shopping before meeting Dave for Dim Sum. Claire wanted to take the tram ride all the way to Western, but in the end we ran out of time. We got some great bargains though!

We met Dave for lunch at City Hall, and it was lovely! I finally got my full dim sum! Wahoo! After that we went to Central markets to find a couple more bargains - namely bags! Who would have thought they would be cheaper than Wan Chai!

Went back to Dad's place and I cooked Moon Noodles for everyone. Rather than go bowling, we decided to stay and play Chase The Witch, which was really funny! Such a lovely night with everyone!

C: Lovely last day, and a really funny dinner, but I still didn't get anything for myself!

Clara: I'm going to miss bowling - hope we can do more in Perth! I loved playing the card game at night, and I loved having dinner with everyone. The goose wings we got in Wan Chai tasted 'okay' with dinner and I love dumplings!

As long as we can watch BSG, I don't mind! I love it!

Aiysha: I love shopping here! I got an armband for my iPhone, and other small stuff! Bargains! I'm going to miss Hong Kong - I could spend a lot more time here!

2016-10-03 Day 7 (Monday): Daddy's Birthday!

S: It's my birthday! Great to be celebrating it in HK!

We had our usual breakfast pickup and delivery to Lift House, then Auntie Ruby (Mum's Twin sister) visited us all! It was lovely to see her, and reminded us all of what Grandma Sik is like. She was doing really well, and only stopped for a short time. She even gave the girls some Lai See money for them to spend. She told us that her son owned a restaurant in The Venetian - wow, what a shame we didn't know on Saturday!

We decided to go to the peak. We went by tram, and walked through Hong Kong park which was lovely! When we got to the Peak Tram though the queues were enormous! We decided we would give it a miss, and decided to go through the aviary, then look for some food. We had almost given up until we stumbled across Crystal Jade, and had the most amazing Dim Sum ever! Chilli dumplings, spring rolls and steamed dumplings - amazing quality!

We decided to take a tram to Wan Chai to see what shopping there was, and we found a great market and the girls spent some of Auntie Ruby's money! Gotta come back here!

Clara: I loved, loved, loved the dumplings!

Aiysha: Yummy dumplings, and awesome shops - gotta come back here! Bargains galore!

C: I'm sad we missed out on the Peak :-( I love shopping though!
