2016-08-28 Spring is here? Netball season (and the Rio Olympics) is almost over :-(
Clara: We have now finished netball season, which I am pretty sad about. I was so excited every week to play, so I can't wait to play in Spring Netball! We lost out last game, and the rain was really hard and windy, but I enjoyed it anyway. The final few minutes were called off because the rain was so bad!
I went to Jazmin's brother's party at Rotary Park - lucky it didn't rain!
Dad and I went out to Yello, and it was the most beautiful day out - loads of people and boats were out and about. Can't wait until Summer! We also did some rock climbing at Trigg!
Aiysha: Our closest game this season - against Hammersley! We finally won by 3, which means we play them again in the quarter finals next week. My shooting was pretty good, and Dad and I have been practicing by going to Kingsway.
I got my Naplan results - I passed them all! Wahoo! No re-takes next year! I am pretty happy about that.
Casey came for a sleepover, and we watched Stick-It to annoy Dad - it worked!
Dad and I also watched the Wallabies second test against NZ - hoping it would be better than last week, but nope\, it was worse! At least it wasn't 40 points!
I loved the Olympics - every sport was awesome - rugby, the gymnastics, handball, badminton. I even woke up in the middle of the night to watch some of it! I'm going to miss it!
C: Got out new robot for our pool - Clara named him Triton!
Brrrr - still cold and wet here, and we've run out of good firewood! Ah man!
A couple of weekends ago we spent the evening up at Two Rocks - it was lovely. We played cricket and kicked the rugby ball around - well, I didn't.
S: I wish Spring would arrive soon!

2016-08-13 Avon Descent, One Big Voice, Interschool Cross Country!
Clara: I was soooo nervous about the Interschool Cross Country. Last year I came second, but me and Daddy have trained hard and went on a few 6km runs together - they were hard, but I really enjoyed them, especially when it was raining. This year there were around 7 schools competing.
The race was at the same place - MacDonald Reserve in Padbury, and Mummy managed to get some time off to watch too! The race started off really fast, perhaps because we only had to run 1km. I managed to make my way through the field and I was second place when we got to half way. I felt good, so I overtook Skye who I competed against in the sprints and field events. I managed to maintain my lead right up until the end, and I won by around 15 metres to spare - I was tired, but pretty relieved that I managed to win this year!
Everyone at Edgewater managed to run well, but we were a man down, so we missed out on some points. We managed to get third as a team, and 5th overall for our school. Last year we came first as a school, which was amazing. Maybe next year.
I was also in the choir for One Big Voice, an event with over 3000 students performing at Perth Arena. It was amazing to sing in such an amazing venue. We were there from 1pm, and we got to practice with the other schools until the show started at 6pm. There were people there from Australia's Got Talent too, one went to Mummy's school! It was a really fun night, and we went to our favourite chinese restaurant after!
Aiysha: I played my first quarter of a game today for 10 weeks! It was against Sorrento, and I scored a couple, but really my shooting was bad.
The Olympics are on in Rio at the moment, and I love them - gymnastics, rugby, and now track and field!
We had a really funny time at the Avon Descent - watching capsizing boats, donuts, going for a big walk, and even throwing the rugby ball in the river for a boat to collect for us! Funny!
C: Is it the end of Winter yet?
S: Looking forward to Summer now!

2016-08-06 Burning Fruit - Best Online Business Award, Burning Fruit Trip - Mandurah
S: We won our third award this year - Best Online Business by the Joondalup Business Awards! Crazy stuff!
We went on our Burning Fruit Trip to Mandurah - our second there! In total, we had 11 people come along to visit our pad - Julz, Connor, Harrison, Amanda, Andrea, Tammy, Henry, Glen, Daniel, Harry and myself. We even took a boat trip out and went through the canals!
It was great fun, but work was a big crazy! Some of us had a routine by going to the gym and sauna in the mornings too.
C: The girls and I were freezing! We pretty much used up all the firewood, but we had fun watching Dance Moms.
