2016-10-05 Day 9 (Wednesday): Tennis, Pool & Goodbye HK :-(

Clara: Man it was a hot day today! Even though it was only 30, the humidity was incredible! Uncle Dave and Daddy played tennis first at 10am, and when we met them they were drenched in sweat! We played a bit more, but we all had to take a lot of drinks!

Daddy and I then went to the pool, and we set ourselves the target of drinking 4 big cups of water as soon as we can so we rehydrated - we managed to do that, so we felt we were okay for our flight.

We ended up having a light lunch at the club after a fun dip in the pool, and then headed back to our flat. We did a last bit of shopping for Mopiko and went to see Grandad - he was looking better. Uncle Dave then came and helped us with our stuff and take us to Central. It was great to see Uncle Dave again, and can't wait to annoy him at Christmas!

Sweet sauce chicken!

Aiysha: I am sad that we're leaving Hong Kong, and not going to be seeing Uncle Dave until Christmas! But we got something to look forward to!

When we got back to Perth, we almost forgot where our car was parked! Luckily Mummy remembered. It was a bit sad being back as we had such an exciting time.

We went straight to sleep, and then went to throw the rugby ball around after lunch which was fun.

Sweet sauce chicken!

C: Lovely to spend so much time in Hong Kong, and we saw some amazing things! Thank you so much Dave, Kee and Grandad!

S: Thanks guys! Truly amazing holiday!

Flight movies were a disaster - changed them 4 times before settling on some eye popcorn with Captain America. How sad...

2016-10-04 Day 8 (Tuesday): Shopping & Dim Sum

S: Met Sally Wong when we went for our French Breakfast delivery - lovely lady, and amazing English! After breakfast we set off for our last bit of Wan Chai shopping before meeting Dave for Dim Sum. Claire wanted to take the tram ride all the way to Western, but in the end we ran out of time. We got some great bargains though!

We met Dave for lunch at City Hall, and it was lovely! I finally got my full dim sum! Wahoo! After that we went to Central markets to find a couple more bargains - namely bags! Who would have thought they would be cheaper than Wan Chai!

Went back to Dad's place and I cooked Moon Noodles for everyone. Rather than go bowling, we decided to stay and play Chase The Witch, which was really funny! Such a lovely night with everyone!

C: Lovely last day, and a really funny dinner, but I still didn't get anything for myself!

Clara: I'm going to miss bowling - hope we can do more in Perth! I loved playing the card game at night, and I loved having dinner with everyone. The goose wings we got in Wan Chai tasted 'okay' with dinner and I love dumplings!

As long as we can watch BSG, I don't mind! I love it!

Aiysha: I love shopping here! I got an armband for my iPhone, and other small stuff! Bargains! I'm going to miss Hong Kong - I could spend a lot more time here!

2016-10-03 Day 7 (Monday): Daddy's Birthday!

S: It's my birthday! Great to be celebrating it in HK!

We had our usual breakfast pickup and delivery to Lift House, then Auntie Ruby (Mum's Twin sister) visited us all! It was lovely to see her, and reminded us all of what Grandma Sik is like. She was doing really well, and only stopped for a short time. She even gave the girls some Lai See money for them to spend. She told us that her son owned a restaurant in The Venetian - wow, what a shame we didn't know on Saturday!

We decided to go to the peak. We went by tram, and walked through Hong Kong park which was lovely! When we got to the Peak Tram though the queues were enormous! We decided we would give it a miss, and decided to go through the aviary, then look for some food. We had almost given up until we stumbled across Crystal Jade, and had the most amazing Dim Sum ever! Chilli dumplings, spring rolls and steamed dumplings - amazing quality!

We decided to take a tram to Wan Chai to see what shopping there was, and we found a great market and the girls spent some of Auntie Ruby's money! Gotta come back here!

Clara: I loved, loved, loved the dumplings!

Aiysha: Yummy dumplings, and awesome shops - gotta come back here! Bargains galore!

C: I'm sad we missed out on the Peak :-( I love shopping though!

2016-10-02 Day 6 (Sunday): Causeway Bay Shopping

Clara: Woke up REALLY late today, but still went for our French breakfast. That should have been enough for us until dinner, but no no, Daddy and Uncle Dave had to go and buy fish balls and some street waffle pancakes! We had some too, and they were yummy. Didn't want to try the fish balls though!

We started off in Forever 21 in Causeway Bay, and for some reason Aiysha and Mummy spent 'forever' in there. Meanwhile, Daddy and I explored Jardine's Bazaar market, which was pretty interesting but we didn't get anything. Daddy spotted a hole-in-the-wall dim sum, but he didn't get anything.

Aiysha: We spent ages in Forever 21 trying on stuff, and got some great bargains! We then went to Uniqlo and H & M, but didn't find too much there. Bowling was really good fun though, even though I was rubbish.

S: After spending an age waiting for the girls do their shopping, Dave and I went to play some tennis which was great fun!

We then went round to Grandad's and made spaghetti bolognaise for everyone, which was lovely. We decided to go bowling to round off the day, which was really funny!

Had a terrible night - dehydrated completely, and was ill all night! What a shame for my birthday!

C: Took a while, but got some great bargains! Can't wait to visit Wan Chai!

2016-10-01 Day 5 (Saturday): Surprise! We're Off To Macau!

Clara: Not another surprise! Uncle Dave and Auntie Kee had something planned, and they would not tell us anything, apart from bring our passports.

We met them early, well, at about 11am after we brought them the usual croissant for breakfast with Grandad, and then we set off in taxis to the ferry terminal where we guessed we were going to Macau! I had no idea what to expect.

It was a holiday too for many people, so it was packed! We go coffees before we go on the fast ferry, then when we got there we managed to squeeze onto a bus to get to the center. We walked through the crowded streets, bought some dried beef and cakes, and then we searched for ages for somewhere to eat. We finally went to a small cafe, and had a little to eat. We then finally took another bus to the surprise - the show "The House of Dancing Water"!

It was a whole show based around water, and we even had towels - Kee had a raincoat! It was the most amazing show, combining drama, action, motorbikes, dancing, amazing diving, and a lovely story. It is something I will never forget!

After that we decided to walk through The Venetian - it was unbelievable! It felt like we were outdoors in the daytime!

Thank you so much Uncle Dave and Auntie Kee!

Another episode of BSG!

Aiysha: The show was amazing! I loved it, and I loved The Venetian - soooo many shops, but looked expensive!

We were back late, and decided to eat at the local Italian - it was lovely!

C: What a show, and what a place! Amazing!

The Italian was yummy!

S: A bit different from when I last went at least 25 years ago! Looks pretty plush now! Awesome show, and hilarious ending!

Thanks guys!
