2019-07-03 Born To Perform, Tree Adventure, Cottesloe Win

Clara: What a crazy weekend! It all started on Friday, and we have been rehearsing for weeks for Born To Perform. I had 8 dances in total over the whole weekend, and I was not well at all! I had the worse cough and cold too! I really enjoyed it though, and out of all the dances we got:
  • 3 1st places - Ferris Wheel (Lyrical), Magente (Hip Hop), Can't Turn Me Loose (Jazz)
  • 2 2nd places
  • 1 3rd place
  • The rest honourable mentions
I was soooo tired by the end of it, but it was great being part of it.

Aiysha: I was sooooo determined going into this game after the win against Kalamunda, I could not wait to play and I had been thinking about the game all weekend! I was still playing on the wing, and it turned out to be an amazing game. We played at Cottesloe, and the weather held out for us. We actually dominated the whole game with our forwards playing an amazing game. I scored once in the first half and once in the second half, and in the end we beat them 41-5. It certainly was the best we've played as a team, and everything seemed to click. I was voted by Cottesloe as the player of the game which was so nice!

C: It was such a crazy weekend - perhaps the craziest! So much fun though! Roxy was amazing! Well done Paish!

S: We had a our last fun day with Henry and Tomoko. No one brought their swimmies even though I told them to, and they all thought we were going south! We started off in Marina Mindarie for kayaking and stand up paddle-boarding which was funny! Dustin and Andrea were on the SUPs. We them moved onto Yanchep for the tree adventure, and everyone by Andrea did the black. The weather was amazing, and it was a very fitting farewell to Henry and Tomoko!

Dave posted a funny photo of us when we played together!

2019-06-23 Kalamunda Win, State Netball, Storms!

Clara: I got in to the State Girls u12! I can't believe it! I thought I was going to be cut after the first session, and now I'm traveling to Canberra! I really can't believe it! I am so excited!

I am sad a few other players didn't get in - Mia and Paige especially as I thought they deserved to get in and we worked so well together.

We played Genesis ("Welcome to the home...") this week, and after a shakey first quarter, we smashed them pretty convincingly. I played WD the whole game which was fine.

Aiysha: I was so nervous this weekend to play against Kalamunda - they beat Cottesloe last week so they are top of the table. I also knew a few amazing girls who were playing for Kalamunda too which was also scary as they've played so many games and this was my second.

In the first half, I was more or less sticking to my wing, but Dad was telling me to roam around, and that is what I did in the second half, and it was so much fun! I did a lot of tackling, and managed to get my hands on the ball quite a bit too! It was pouring with rain, but not windy.

In the end, we managed to score two tries, and so did they. However, we managed to make all our conversions, so we won by 2! It was such an exciting game, and shows that we can do anything! I was so happy, and the team even voted me the player of the game! It was great! I can't wait until next weeks game!

Dawa, I am so proud of you, you did so well and can't wait to see you smash those Eastern States! Just like I will be in December!

It has been the wettest June in 14 years! It has been pouring down for the past week!

C: You did amazing Clara! I am so proud of you!

Aiysha, I'm a bit scared you tackling all those big Maori girls!

S: Roxy Roo! You star! You've done so well, and can't wait to see you go on your first tour to Canberra!

What a game Paish! Amazing!

The weather is very English at the moment.

2019-06-16 My First Women's Rugby Game, State Netball Trials!

Aiysha: I was so nervous playing my first 15-a-side Womens rugby game, and they were pretty big girls! We played Arks and it turned out really well. We dominated the whole game, and I scored 3 tries! I was soooo happy, and relieved!

Clara: Well done Paish on your first game of real rugby! Just like Daddy!

I was so nervous about the trials and I hardly got to play! I only played 2 sessions out of six, and I was convinced that I was not in at all! I was pretty upset, but then I got selected to go through to the next set of trials! I was sooooo happy!

We also had a dinner for TACT which was really fun!

C: Well done Rox! You did soooo well!

S: So proud to watch you play your first 15-a-side game Paish! Amazing 3 tries! You did great Rox getting through - let's see what happens!

2019-06-03 TACT Tournament, Paua Rose

Clara: We played Paua Rose last week, and we beat the by around 50 points which was not the best lead up to the tournament.

What a crazy 3 day tournament! We played Fremantle first, and we missed so many goals, and we lost the match in the end. I came off in the second half when we were even, but they played a much better game than us in the second half. I felt we were a bit cold. We managed to play pretty well in the next few games, and our next tough match was against Perth who drew against Fremantle - we managed to beat them convincingly, which was awesome! After that, we knew we would be in the final.

The final was crazy! It was frantic, and the pressure was intense and so many people were watching! I loved it. The game even went into extra time in the last second, but Fremantle finally beat us, which was such a shame! It was a brilliant weekend though.

I was so happy to be part of it, and even Henry and Tomoko came down to watch!

Aiysha: Amazing final Rox! Well done!

C: Brilliant weekend Roxy! You played amazing!

S: It was a great final - could not ask for more! Well done!
