2019-09-15 AON, Nationals Day 1, Moomis First Tour, GOW1 Completed!

Paish: Wow, what a tough first round in Brisbane. It was hot hot hot, and there were some very good players.

Day 1: We played Canberra, QLD and UTS - we won our very first game against Canberra which was amazing! I scored a try which settled my nerves and thought I tackled okay. Queensland took a lot out of us - we only lost by 27-7 - I scored another try, but it really sapped our energy and by the time we played UTS who played one less game than us, we were stuffed and made so many mistakes. We could have won that if we didn't give the ball away.

Game 1 - 52 mins, Game 2 - 2:21.26, Game 3 - 4:18.31

Day 2: We played UNE, and lost to them badly purely due to mistakes and poor communication, and then we played 9th 10th playoff where we lost to Bond University who started very strong - we came back with tries from me and Brooklyn, but it was too late.

Game 4 - , 9th / 10th Play-off -

Amazing experience, but I feel we can do so much better!

Clara: We are having so much fun in Canberra! We left of Friday - Daddy took me to the airport, and the plane trip was fun! On the Saturday we went on a tour of Parliament House and other stuff. I got the big bed all for myself in my own room! Wow! That's nicer than Mummy's room!

Day 1: We played QLD and only lost by 10, but it was a good but tough game. Then we played NT which we won by a lot and the final game was against NSW who beat NT about the same as us.

Oh, by the way, we finished God of War 1!

2019-09-12 Presentation, Warm Fuzzies, Preparation, GOW! Coach Wigley!

Clara: Courtney Bruce, the West Coast Fever player, came and presented everyone their medals - it was so cool and we all had our pictures taken with her. During the presentations, I was announced as Captain of the team! I was shocked and could not believe it! I was so not expecting that and I was so worried that I wasn't even going to be in the starting line up! I am so excited!

We also had a 'Warm Fuzzie' evening where we presented all our gifts to each team member - there were some lovely thoughts and presents, and a wonderful thing to do!

I also was invited to Maddies where the other Perth players were going which was an awesome surprise as I really like them all! I think I'm going to make some awesome friends during this experience!

On top of all of that, Daddy and I managed to finish GOW! We put it off the whole week, and on the last evening before I left, we just put it on knowing we were not going to have time, and we finished the last battles - it was awesome! I managed to kill Aries all on my own!

Aiysha: All this week, we only had a couple of light sessions, but Dad and I went out to do a fitness and then tackling drills to help my decision making - I think it is really going to help.

I am nervous and excited about Aon.

Daddy got asked if he would help out at Wanneroo Women's Rugby, and now he is our new backs coach! Wow! That is going to be interesting!

C: What a great presentation! Amazing Rox!

S: Well done Roxy Roo! So proud of you.

We have embarked on a new way of handling our finances - going to be interesting!

2019-09-06 Ian Goodenough, Scratch Matches, Aon Presentation

Clara: On Wednesday afternoon we went to collect our grants from Ian Goodenough - we saw Tamika and another girl from Aiysha's year collecting for netball. We had to leave pretty soon as we thought we had a scratch match - turned out we didn't - ah well. It was nice, and a nice man came to speak to us about our sport, and we got an awesome photo with Ian!

We had two scratch matches in the past week - one against last years State team, which we lost pretty badly to but learned a lot, and one against Hammersley u13 Team 1. That was a very interesting game as they started off leading by around 5 goals, but we came back and in the end beat them by around 12 goals. It was so much fun, and showed that we can come from behind!

Aiysha: It was fun meeting Ian. Aon training and studies is becoming hard, but hanging in there! I can't wait for the tournament, it;'s going to be so much fun. I injured my back this week, but doing some heavy rehab and hope it will heal in time!

C: Well played Rox!

S: Great scratch matches Rox, well played! Hang in there Paish, next year you'll have so much more time!

Thanks for an awesome Fathers Day - dumplings! Yeah!

2019-08-25 Wanneroo Womens Rugby Win Grand Final! Hammersley In Finals! Catholic Schools Dance Comp.

Aiysha: We were playing Kalamunda in the Grand Final of the Womens Rugby league after beating Curtin last week. We started off in the morning going round for breakfast at someone's house, and then we went to the club from there. All finals were being played at Wanneroo, so it was great being at home.

It was the most stressful game ever! I don't think we played particularly well, and I think Kala played very well. They ran the ball every time they got it, and each time we kicked they scored from, and we were two tries down around 3/4 way through the first half. We managed to pull a try back just before half time and then part way through the second half. They also managed to score, so going into the last 2 minutes we were 5 points down. Somehow, we managed to put the pressure on, and Tui scooted through to score under the posts - unbelievable! She had to convert her own try, even though she didn't want to, and did it! It was amazing! I defended most of the time, and only touched the ball a couple of times, but man there was pressure!

It didn't sink in straight away, as I didn't think we were the better team, but to win the league is an amazing feeling now! What a fun season, and I love 15s!

The whole game was filmed and they even had commentators! Watch it below!

Clara: We won our last league game and we ended up top of the table, so we are in finals next week playing Venetians. It was a very rough dirty side and we had to ask for another referee to come down to observe. Their coach was not a nice person.

Amazing game Paish, so proud of you!

I love my State outfits!

I also had my school dance comp which was so much fun but quite stressful as we had to change so quickly between each part of the dance. It was in the convention centre, so it really felt special. There were some amazing performances!

I've also decided to stop dancing at Gail Meade, and I am feeling relieved to finally have some spare time!

C: Great job Paish!

S: What an amazing win Paish! What a lovely team to play for! Well done! Sat with Basil and Lisa for the whole game, and then came back to watch the mens with Paish. We didn't stay to the end.

2019-08-12 AON Warm Up, Bledisloe, Top Of The Table, Studies, Licence Found!

Aiysha: This weekend is our warm up against Adelaide and our other WA team.

I lost my logbook and my driving license over the past few months, but we finally found them! The logbook was in my room, and my license was buried in the compartment in the car! Ah man!

I am ball girl for the Bledisloe Cup on Saturday - lucky I got it, as I didn't hand the signed form in and had to ring the lady in charge! It turned out to be the most amazing game with Australia smashing the All Blacks! It was a match to remember, and Kerevi gave me his shorts! That was hilarious!

I got through my hard week passing 2/3, and waiting on my maths - hopefully I would have done okay, but happy about my Physics and Chemistry.

Clara: Our Hammersley team is now top of the table by quite a lot, and we are beating most team easily. Venetians we beat by over 20 points last week, and they are third in the table. This week we played Paua Rose who are bottom. Surely we should beat them!

We had a scratch match against Darling Ranges today - they were pretty good, and it was great to play against another side! We managed to beat them, which was great. Our opposition will no doubt get harder!

C: Well done Paish on a really hard week!

Well done unblocking our pipe Doody!

S: Great scratch match Rox! Shame you don't play that well in God of War :-)

What a Bledisloe Cup game - one of the most memorable ever, in the company of My Gray!

2019-08-03 4 Tries! God of War, Venetians

Aiysha: We played Curtin University this week who are bottom of the table, but I was thankful as it was my first start as centre, and Tui was Fly half which was great. We won the game convincingly, and I managed to score 4 tries! The last one was really funny, as no one wanted the ball from me, so I just ran through the ruck and realised there was no one there, and ran half the pitch to the line - very funny! Really enjoyed it! I was also voted player of the game AGAIN - 3 times since I started playing 2 months ago!

Heavy week this week for studies - oh no!

Clara: Daddy and I have started to play God of War as we had a go at Room Escape, and Daddy suggested we play a slightly better game - it is amazing, and so much fun! I always look forward to playing it now!

We played Venetians who are third on the table - we won pretty convincingly, but let a few too many goals in to hit our Goals Against target. We'll have to be really tight in the remaining games!

C: I wish I had seen it Paish - well done! Secret shopper has been very interesting indeed!

Great to see the Grandads getting together!

S: Amazing game Paish! Well done! We moved the office around, got some plants and really raising how the office looks - great!

We looked for weeks for Paishies Driving Licence, and no one could find it! I finally found it in the car glove compartment - well done me! Great looking Paish!

2019-07-26 New Racket, Missing Jigsaw Piece! School Holidays!

Big moment - Daddy got a Babolat Pure Aero tennis racket! Wahoo! We also found the missing jigsaw piece from the France b/w jigsaw we were doing back in 2017!

Everyone is either studying or training over the last couple of weeks. School holidays are a bit quiet, but really busy at the same time!

20180-07-20 Wanneroo vs Cottesloe Round 3

Aiysha: This was going to be the real test - playing the almost full Cottesloe side at home. The game was tense, and really exciting! They scored two tries first and we were on the back foot. Taylor scored an amazing solo try at the end of the first half, and then we came back to score three more tries in the second half to their one try! It was a great game, and I hardly touched the ball, but defended a lot. It was the most intense game so far, and I loved it!

I got voted man of the match for my defence - it was frantic, but fun!

Clara: Well done Paish! I'm sorry I missed most of it, but glad I made some of it!

C: I don't like watching when so many big girls run into my little Paish :-(

S: Awesome game! Well played Paish! Can't wait until you get more ball!

2019-07-12 State Schoolgirls u18 Tour to Sydney

Aiysha: The tour was great! We had such a great time, and by the end of it we were playing some great rugby. It is such a shame that we started slow and only just lost the first two games by a try. I reckon if we played them at the end, we would have beaten them, but that is the way it goes. It was such a great experience though, and I was so proud to be nominated as captain!

Daddy, Mummy and Rox managed to watch the games as people were streaming using their phones, so at least they saw some games.

Clara: Well done Paish! You played awesome! I missed you though :-(

C: Awesome job Paish!

S: Great tour Paish, you played great!
