2020-04-19 School Holidays, Dog Park, More Surfing, Breaking Bad Finale!

Clara: All this isolation has meant we have had a chance to go to loads of dog beaches and parks! During the holidays, we have gone to Joondalup dog park loads, Mummy also took Callie along Mullaloo while we went surfing, and we also went to Yanchep Beach for picnics which has been amazing! We also love Trigg Beach and Quinns Rocks, and we spent an some amazing evenings at both last week!

We have done so much surfing over the last couple of weeks - we even go down when it is really choppy and stormy just to get some practice!

We finally finished Breaking Bad - it was amazing! We also watched some of my states netball, and also Paish's rugby final as it was on TV! So funny!

Aiysha: I'm hard at work studying, but I do get a chance to go surfing and Dad, Junior and myself have gone for quite a few kicking sessions. It has felt just like the holidays with everyone being around.

S: Surfing has been so much fun! We're all getting there and improving!

C: Callie is so much fun, but is soooo cheeky! She loves balls of wool!

COVID is starting to ease off now - first day with no new cases! Wahoo, maybe we can get back to sports!

2020-03-25 COVID-19, Paish Stuck in Sydney, Remote Working, States Windup

Paish: We played our last Super-W game in Sydney - it was tough but really enjoyed it. We lost 44-0, but held them out for so long. The weather was awful - the worst I've played in, pouring with rain and the ball was so slippery. I wish I'd used Uncle Dave's trick of using soil to give me more grip! I thought I did well against my opposite scrum half, and I took her out a few times and didn't let her get through me.

Myself and Taj decided to stay on for an extra week to tour around and hit the beaches - how things can change in just a week! COVID-19 hit everywhere, and apparently someone at our rugby game who played after us had it! When we were due to fly back, we were almost stopped, and we had to frantically ring the Department of Health to see if we could get back, other wise we would have to stay in quarantine for 14 days in Sydney! Luckily, we were allowed.

I did go into my own quarantine when I got back though. Not that bad as I had a heap of study (and Tik Toks) to catch up on!

Rox: COVID-19 is crazy! We all cannot believe it, and we stopped going to school in the last two weeks of term just in case. Mummy still had to go, but we were at home with Daddy and Paish. Aaliyah is not allowed out at all, and has been off school for a few weeks now anyway.

All those trials, for maybe nothing...poor Roxy...

S: It is crazy times. Grandad Brian is in isolation in Lutterworth, Dave is in isolation in HK, Paish in isolation here. Moved out of our office, and good job we had the States windup when we did!

C: So relieved Paish got home! I was super stressed!

2020-03-08 I made top team! Super W WA Force vs Melbourne Rebels

Clara: I am so happy (and a bit nervous!)! I was selected for Team 1 U15 for Hammersley! I think I am the youngest in the team, so I'm going to have to work extra hard! Ellie who was my state coach is the coach, so I'm really happy!

Aiysha: We had our first home game against Melbourne Rebels. It was such an exciting game - we were 14 points up after 10 minutes, but then we let things slip by kicking the ball away. In the end we lost 26-31, but we played pretty well. I was pretty happy with my game, but disappointed we lost after having such a good start. I made a few good breaks which I was happy with - I just need to make sure I score next time!

We got some great stats below - I think I did pretty well.

We took Dad's old camera down to the beach, and we finally finished the film and developed it - the pictures look really cool!

C: So proud of you both! Amazing you got into the top team Clara, and what a great performance Paish!

S: Awesome game Paish! So proud of you, and amazing result Rox - so exciting!

2020-03-02 Movie Extravaganza, Long Weekend!

Clara: All this week the storms have been amazing! So much lightening and thunder it has been pretty scary all week! We had some flooding in our games room again.

Dad and I went for a 6km (the second in a week) hoping it would pour down on us, but in the end it was the only time it didn't rain! When we did our exercises, the lightening and thunder were so close we got scared and went in. It was a hard run, but we made it! We even picked up the pace at the end!

Mummy screamed in the middle of the night when the thunder was right outside our door! Funny!

We went to see an amazing film called 1917 on Friday! On Sunday we went to see Parasite!

Aiysha: Dad and I went for a special lunch on Friday to Burns Beach - it was meant to be the afternoon, but I was on school pickup!

I had a team bonding session at Carousel in Willeton - Mum, Dad and Rox picked me up after their film and we got a Maccas!

My tik-tok was on the view page - Roxy was so excited! Funny!

C: Amazing storms, amazing film too!

S: Brilliant films! Crazy week with the weather. Roxy got a great video of lightening!
