2022-04-10 State 15s Trials, Western Force Super W vs Brumbies, Force vs Rebels

 

Rox: We had our State Trials over two weekend, and I was pretty nervous. I managed to get through both rounds, which was great Emily was accidentally left off the list, and it was her birthday when they announced it, so it was a pretty disappointing birthday until she found out it was a mistake! Well done Emily! Final round of selection from the final 30 in a couple of weeks!

Paish: I didn't touch the ball - not much to say apart from how disappointing and frustrating the whole experience is for yet another game. We know we have the players to do better.

S: Well, the Brumbies was definitely a game to win. Paish was not put at 9 the whole game, which was a huge mistake. What a disappointing game, she didn't touch the ball once, and the forwards as usual thought they could rumble it up - hard for the worst pack in the comp. Playing 8 man rugby just does not work. Very poor decisions all round for a game they should have won.

C: Well done Rox getting through!

2022-03-22 ACC Swimming Carnival, Hillary's Cold Rock, Force vs Fijiana Drua, Night Beach Runs!

 

Paish: We knew it was going to be tough, but we were not smart in the first half by kicking to them, and we were 47-0 down by half time - awful. After half time, we decided to bring some subs on, and I went in at 9, and we kept hold of the ball, and we won the half 17-0 - the most points ever scored against Fiji!

Rox: I was only 1 of 3 people to get the qualifying time for ACC, so I got to go to the carnival! I didn't do great, but at least I took part. Dad came to watch, and then we went to Hillary's after for an ice cream and a walk - it was a fun day!

We have done a lot of beach running at night, even one with Callie on a lead at Mullaloo! It was been so beautiful, and we have been motoring!

S: It was a pretty impressive performance by the second half team when they sped the game up, and Fiji struggled to keep up! If only the selection was better for the whole game! So frustrating. Once again a lack of intelligence throughout.

Well played Paish! Surely you will get game time now at 9!

2022-03-14 Force vs Waratahs, Katanning TDP

Rox: Mummy, Daddy and I all drove to Kataning - what a funny trip! It was in the middle of nowhere, but it had the best park I've ever see - All Ages Park - and it had rides for kids as well as grown ups! When we got there, we met at the park and had a picnic, and us girls went exploring which was so much fun!

Our place had a pool table, and on the second night we went for a Chinese.

Paish was playing over east, so Daddy went to watch her game at the end of the final game of ours. We managed to win all our games quite easily which was great, considering Lynnie said we were not going to win a game!

C: Well played Rox! Awesome job!

S: Amazing tour Rox! Well done! Paish had a hard day at the office on the wing, and the team did not play well. The game was winnable, but once again fitness, selection, positioning and strategy let them down. I sent Dwayne a message for his thoughts - very similar indeed. Something has to be done. The girls are capable, but need to be given a chance to win by the coaches.

2022-03-07 Force vs Reds (Round 1), Rottnest Mater Dei Trip, Hakuna Matata Semi Final, Quinns Twice In A Day!

Paish: We played our first round game against the Queensland Reds - it was a hard game and we were not fit enough. We lost 43-7, but I think my defence was okay. It was a hard day, and I should have made a couple of breaks, but I tried so hard across the whole game. I was very disappointed.

Rox: I went to Rottnest with my outdoor education class on Friday - it was so much fun, but ended up missing Paish's game.

S: Paish played amazing! Her defence was phenomenal, and the amount of ground she covered was incredible. You should be so proud of yourself - I just hope some players come to the party.

We had our Rosalie semi for Hakuna Matata against the Mixed Open team - we didn't expect to win, but it was funny as we switched sub boxes at half time, and even our team forgot! I scored on off Mako with Spence, and we got another in the second half. Rox and I stayed for food after which was fun!

C: So proud of you Paish!

Callie: I went to Quinns Rocks twice in one day on Sunday! Once with Daddy where I almost got dragged out by a wave, and then with Mummy and Daddy at sunset! It was so much fun! I love it!

2022-02-26 Jenna Playing Gridiron, Force Training

 We all went to watch Jenna play her gridiron final - the other team marked her out of the game unfortunately, and they struggled without her so they lost. Jenna was not happy about that at all. Poor Jenna!

Paish is getting excited about Western Force now - long long until their first game at home against the Reds!

2022-02-10 The Spot, Training

 

Went to The Spot again - I tried to paddle board, but I was hopeless.

Training is getting intense for State Titles! Wests Pre-Season has started!

2022-02-14 State Touch Champs are here!

What a weekend! 3 days of crazy fun!

On Friday Dad had two games - ECU and Northern. They lost to ECU by 1 point (11-10) and the lost to Northern by 7-2. The girls played Rosalie, but lost to them which was a shame as they didn't play too well.

On Saturday, Dad played ECU again and drew, and then lost to Northern again, by only 2. The girls had an amazing game against Freo where they beat them 8-2 - the first time they have beaten them in years. Unfortunately they lost to Southern.

On Sunday, Dad played ECU again and even though they were up by 3, they lost in the end. They should not have lost all their games as they had a good side - it was just unlucky! Dad ended up with 10 tries though! The girls needed to beat Northern (Selina and Rhythms team) to get into the semis, and they did, so they had to play Freo in the semi. It was an amazing game which ended in a drop off, and Rox and Paish ended up playing the the final 4, then the final 3, but in the end Freo got the score. Next year girls!

It was an amazing weekend with so many laughs and so much fun. For the ladies, Freo smashed Rosalie, and Northern took out the Men's 40s - all the players Dad used to play with!

2022-01-26 Mummy's Birthday Trip to Rottnest!

Rox: What a trip! So much fun! Jumping off the clifftop was the highlight - it was a bit scary! We even got a video of an octopus in the rocks! It was cool!

Paish: It was such a cool trip. We got to Fremantle pretty late, checked in to the B & B, and then headed out to discover everywhere was shut apart from one Italian place - it turned to be amazing!

We had views from our place to the quay too, which was lovely! We brought our bikes, so we cycled to the pier then all around Rottnest. We had a fun time observing the people of the ferry!

C: It was so cool! It was pretty tiring, and we were all thankful for the hotdog at the end of the ride! At one point we watched seals swimming around in the ocean which was cool.

S: Snorkeling was pretty cool! It was pretty hot all day, and the views were spectacular!

2022-01-20 Margaret River!

 

Paish: What a trip to Margaret River! Our house was pretty much next to the beach we were going to surf at - Redgate Beach! The swell wasn't up the whole time, so we had a chance to explore a lot of other beaches, which was amazing! Hamlin Bay was amazing, and we managed to get some drone shots of stingrays! We also went paddle boarding at Gracetown.We also read a really sad story about a cliff collapsing on spectators watching a surf competition. That was really sad, but they made a lovely tribute to them on the cliff top.

Rox: Margaret River was so much fun! I loved the surfing, and the travelling around exploring all the different beaches! Paddle boarding with Paish was so funny, and we dragged Daddy behind us at one point which was hard! We have to come down again when we are better at surfing!

S: Loved the trip! So much fun, and great surfing at Redgate!

C: So many nice places to visit! It was so much fun! Cow Bau enjoyed it so much! She is the most travelled dog ever!
