2023-12-26 Merry Christmas Everyone! Paish Made It! The Spot, Wingfoil Over Sandbar

Paish: I made it! I was so worried my flight was going to be cancelled due to severe storms in Brisbane, but we flew in the end, and I was so relieved.

We went to The Spot on Christmas Day, Dad had a bit of a paddle board in crazy rough seas, while us girls including Bau just stayed on the beach and relaxed.

Christmas dinner so so nice!

Rox: So happy Paish made it! I also went all the way to Joondalup on a bus to get her last present! We had a lovely Christmas at The Spot and opening presents - our presents were so thoughtful, and I was very happy.

Christmas dinner was amazing, and I made our chocolate log! Yum!

S: Well done Paish getting home - we were not really worried! I went out to Lucky Bay a couple of days ago, and rather than walk back over the sandbar, I decided to try and foil over it, and I made it! It was so cool! If I dropped, I would have face planted for sure!

Such a nice Christmas doing jigsaws, playing games and an amazing dinner!

C: Yay! Paish made it! We loved going to the beach, and loved giving Bau her presents. I am going to miss her so much when we go to Japan!

Love your chocolate log Rox!

Went for a lovely walk at Quinns on Christmas Eve with the Bau!

2023-12-22 Uncle Dave!

Thursday (7/12) - Lost to Frank's Team at touch, Dave's arrival! Paish and I picked up - gonna be crazy two weeks!

Saturday (09/12) -  Watching Paish Training - very interesting, and chatted to Paish and Taj after - some concerns there! Scarborough and got Cold Rock with Rox and Paish after lunch - the wind was crazy! and we stopped off to have a look at the waves. Went out for Szechuan Fish and Pork with Paish and Mummy, and topped it off with a Cheesecake. Also kicked off campaign for Vulture, Boy, so will see how that goes!

Sunday (10/12) - Paddleboarding with Rox at Lucky Bay, gardening Pt 1, and Dave got eaten alive by mozzies when we went to try and finish off what he was doing at dusk! Crazy man! Lovely pulled pork pancakes, Bear, Walk at Mater Dei (Rox and Dad won throwing game)

Monday (11/12) - Arrived at Mandurah right on lunch so we went to a local pub where it was serving specials - it was yummy - we had chicken wings and burgers. Mandurah boat hire! It was so much fun! Saw a dolphin right at the start, but didn't see anymore all day! We all took turns driving the boat, and there were some amazing pelicans. There were some orientals trying to race us, and we also ended up on an island in the inlet, which was very cool. Stopped off for some San Churros after which was yummy! We had a rotating DJ all the way down and up which was very interesting listening to everyone else's music.

Tuesday (12/12) - off to Balingup, car crash - pool through windscreen, biggest detour ever! Missed Crooked Carrot lunch and just got a toastie instead - what a drive! Our Airbnb was lovely though - very new, and remote place, amazing stars, huge ants nests. Dinner in Bridgetown was okay, but not really ,much choice, Chronicle.

Wednesday (13/12) - Mooch around Margaret River and Dunsborough - best pork steak sandwich in the world! Cosy Corner was amazing but no stingrays, Hamlin Bay was pretty cool, but no stingrays, up to Dunsborough to see if we could windsurf with Michael - Dave had a go and I winged just off the beach, and Michael joined us! It was fun, and just enough wind. Stopped off at Clancy's Fish Bar on the way home and had amazing Chilli Mussels and Dave had some Thai noodles that were really hard to eat, but nice! Crazy drive home down what looked like a river bed! What a day! Monsters Dark Continent.

Thursday (14/12) - Packed up, Bunbury paddleboarding and winging in the inlet - so much fun, but a it shallow for winging. Dave loved paddleboarding and really getting the hang of it, apart from going into the wind. Lone Star lunch - worst lunch in the world in an empty restaurant - we wondered why...! Home.

Friday (15/12) - Gardening, then went to Fremantle markets with Paish which was so much fun, and so interesting. Went to so many shops and then the markets. Had a Japanese Udon lunch, shopped more, then went back for some yummy  doughnuts. Stopped off at Point Walter on the way home - thought about winging, but decided not to. Passed Lucky Bay, but too tired, so we went home. What a funny day!

Saturday (16/12) - Paish trial game, Beach Touch, dumpling lunch, Dave's Birthday

Sunday (17/12) - Dim sum with Dave - Mummy and Dave tried to play a trick on Steve by getting lost, but didn't get the reaction they wanted as lunch had already arrived! Pool - a couple of games of catchy - no competition! Mooch at home as were all pretty tired, present opening for Dave's birthday which was nice, Paish cancelled flight to Brisbane, Paish and Dave won throwing game at Mater Dei. 2023-12-03 We bought a house! Rox awards night, Junior State Titles

Rox: Junior State titles was so much fun! I was put into Link to start with, but I was then moved to the middle with Rimu, and we had so much fun! We won every game, and the are all on YouTube. We met Freo in the Grand Final, and we won it pretty comfortably.

YouTube Channel

I also got the sports award this year at Mater Dei, and we had a separate Sports Awards evening too! That was interesting!

C: Well done Rox for winning your awards!

State titles so much fun!

Scary stuff, we got an investment property in Wanneroo!

S: Nice Rox!

Amazing state titles Rox! The team played so well!

Aiysha: What a state titles Rox! Well done! Can't wait to play with you in the Women's state titles in Feb!

2023-11-23 Super Series Finals, BF Night Out, Wanneroo Fire, Foiling at Sunset, Rox Wisdom Teeth

Paish: We had the Super Series finals on Saturday, and I was so excited and a bit nervous! I hadn't trained much. We were up against Northern in the semi, and we managed to beat them by one - I scored the winning try, but our pod set up a lot of the tries which was awesome! I was mainly with Bailey.

In the final against Fremantle, our pod scored the first 5 tries in a row! It was amazing, and the first time I really felt I had a real touch brain, even though sometimes I didn't stick to the plan! I actually ended up being MVP! So much fun, and the team played so well!

S: What an amazing performance Paish! You were on fire!

Went foiling at sunset at Lucky Bay - beautiful!

Such fun night out with the BF crew bowling then Korean - Wayne, Harry, Marc, Andrea. Lost the first game, but came back to win second, pretty average bowling all round I think!

C: Brilliant games Paish, so proud!

Huge fire at Wanneroo the other side of the lake - scary!

Rox: I had my wisdom teeth out - fun!

2023-11-12 17s State Selection, Exams, Roxy's Party! Foiling Silence!

Rox: I had organised an end of year party after our exams, and it was fun! We had about 30 people, and more boys than girls were there. We had Tilly's huge speaker, and went in the pool. Dinner was sausages and chicken wings, and the girls slept over. It was a lot of fun, and I hardly got any sleep, but it was worth it!

The State 17s was announced, and the Furious 5 are in - Halle, Tegan, Emily, Kate and myself, and a few younger girls got in too. It will be very interesting what happens now when we start training together.

C: It was a fun party, and Daddy and I were in charge of the BBQ - it was fun, and we sat out in the frog house at the end of the evening. No doubt we will find a bunch of chicken bones everywhere! Poor Bau!

S: I finally had a long run on my foil and heard silence! It was such a cool feeling! I think I'm getting the hang of it now, and can't wait to do more!

Paish: I'm sad I missed Roxy's party as I had a birthday party to go to! It would have been fun! Last weekend I went out with Jenna, Adrienne, Charlie and Vio on a crawl around Perth - it was fun going out with my old friends again! This week I also did a photo shoot with Harrison, my first without a rugby ball!

2023-10-29 Winging Season Starts! SA win World Cup, Hakuna Matata with Paish Thai in Northbridge with Paish

S: I'm determined to get on my foil asap! I feel it is just around the corner, so I'm going all in!

What a Rugby World Cup! South Africa were amazing, and beat NZ in the final. Was so close in all their matched (by one point in the finals games), but they managed it. So happy for them. Shame about France in the QF, but honestly the best QF stage ever seen. England were a waste of space. It was so hard getting up at 3am, and none of the girls got up with me in the whole 2 months! Shame on them!

Hakuna Matata has started - yay! Going to be a fun season! Cakes have started!

C: We decided to try a new restaurant in Northbridge - Chopsticks Thai restaurant which was amazing - Prawn Coconut Curry was incredible. Paish joined us as she was feeling bit sad about Jaxson, and we went for cheesecake after.

Paish: Me and Jaxson finished - but will see where we go. I'm sad.

Rox: Sure Dad will get on his foil...we'll see!

2023-10-23 ACC Win Tri-Series! Selection for 17s, WAIS Tour, Poor cars! Shop Cleared Out Finally

Rox: I took Dad around the WAIS facility - Mum had already seen it -  they thought it was amazing! We also had our induction meeting which was fun.

We had our one training session for ACC on Friday just before our tournament on Saturday and we managed to pull it off again! We went down in the first game against IGSSA, but quickly bounced back and won that game comfortably. SSWA won against IGSSA, so it was a showdown against us and SSWA - it was pretty close all the way through, but in the end we pulled away in the final quarter which was so cool as it was also a trial game for 17s selection too.

C: Szechuan Fish was amazing! Best ever! Sad about our cars though.

Amazing to see ACC bring home the win again - it was so exciting, and so glad we got it on video this year!

S: Dave cleared out the shop in the UK, and now it is on the market finally - well done Dave! Lot's of memories from that place though, which was cool - The Rice Bowl Cooking school, video games room for me and Dave, Dave's storage facility, our family stop over house. It was great, even though it was a little quirky.

I managed to back into Mummy's car - only the car handle was slightly damaged, but annoying. It was only the day after Rox scraped her car against the garage too! Dumbos!

Paish: Well done on ACC Rox! Amazing!

2023-10-13 Limbs Finally Released!

S: After 3 years and a false release (mix was not great), Limbs by Vulture, Boy is finally released! I'm so proud of this album, took so long to make, and was such an achievement. Very happy, and dedicated to Mum (Mum's birthday is the release date) and Dad, and well as the subject matter.

Rox: Well done Steve - it has been fun being your sounding board for your songs and concept! Can't wait to hear what people think.

Paish: Whoa, I've heard a few songs, but the whole album in one go on the way back from dim sum! Very cool. I even wanted to extend the drive so we could hear the entire album! Amazing!

C: Well done Doody it sounds great and I really like the songs - top job!

2023-10-08 Mandurah Mini-Break, Roxy's Suzuki Swift, 5 hours Driving, Roxy Rottnest Whales

C: Mandurah was so much fun! We had such a cool place, and it is a shame we could not stay longer. We had two nights, and Paish managed to join us! We went to the dam where we did paddle boarding, we went for a nice lunch by the river, we walked along the river at night, we had our won log fire (which made us go and replace our existing one when we got home!) and we played Rummikub at night after Dad and Rox put the guitar down! So relaxing.

We also found time to mooch around cars, and we actually bought Roxy's Suzuki Swift after going for a test drive! Crazy, and Rox was so happy!

Paish: It was so nice being able to join the gang in the house! It was so relaxing even though I was working. I can't believe that they bought a car for Rox too! It was so sweet when they popped into DAB to say hello when they realised it was opposite the car yard!

Rox: I have a car! I can't believe it! I better look after it. An extra incentive to make sure my driving is up to speed! I've done 5 hours driving - around ECU and other car parks! Getting there!

Mandurah was fun! The paddle-boarding was cool, but the water was cold.

Went on a friends boat to Rottnest - we actually were in a separate boat we drove ourselves, and we saw whales breaching! It was amazing! It was around 34 degrees, and no wind, so perfect conditions!

S: Loved it guys, thank you!
