2017-12-10 Uncle Dave - Pt. 1 - Arrival

Clara: I was so happy to see Uncle Dave I cried! It was great seeing his plane arrive, and see him walk through the gate! He hasn't changed a bit!

We did so much in that first week - went to carols, the beach, walks, games, rugby, shopping, windsurfing. He must have been exhausted!

The carols were so nice, and the fireworks were awesome!

Aiysha: Uncle Dave was funny. While Clara was at school, we took Dave to Yelo. That was nice! We also went to the beach loads and of course played catchy! I won, obviously!

C: Ah man, what a mess for the car! Great to see Uncle Dave again though! It is so nice having him around, although his jokes never change!

S: What a disastrous trip to Yelo! We decided to take Aiysha's open top car, and we got there fine. On the way back though, something snapped in the hydraulics, and the roof didn't go down again - oh dear. I hope it can be fixed.

2017-12-06 Dance Concert, Burning Fruit Outdoor Movie / Bowling, 200km Club, WBA Awards, Cricket!

Clara:  It was the most amazing concert ever! I was in the most dances I have ever been in, and they were the coolest dances! Mummy was back stage with me, so Aiysha was with Daddy - they went to Grill'd first as usual, and loved the show.

I made the 200km Club! I was so proud, and I had plenty more time to do it in too! I was sooo happy that I had achieved one of my goals!

I was also captain of the school girls cricket team, and we played a tournament against 3 other teams - we won 2, and lost one game, but it was fun! Daddy took me to Challenge Stadium with Aiysha, and we did a lot of practice the day before which really helped - I hit quite a few runs on the day!

We played our last game against the other Westcoasters side, and they only got 1 goal - wow. We played really well.

Aiysha: Final netball round, and we were playing Sorrento - we smashed them!

Amazing, absolutely amazing show Clara!

C:  Best concert ever Clara - well done!

Amazing Spring season girls! Well done! Daddy and I went to Connolly and helped tidy up the garden - not many parents showed up though :-(

S: Incredible show this year Rox! Can't wait for next year already!



Frog enjoyed the Wanneroo Show fireworks! Burning Fruit were Twitter Wall sponsors at the WBA Awards - it was sooo funny! We even had a Twitter couch which the compare also took a photo of! On top of that, we also had our Outdoor Cinema night at Kings Park, but it got rained off so we went bowling - well done Henry for winning the final game!

2017-11-26 Junior State Champs, Gail Meade Presentation, BF Yanchep Trip, Final Rehearsals

 

Aiysha:I was so pleased to be included in the mixed team at Junior State Champs for Northern. It was a two day tournament, and we had a really good team! I was very nervous, but was on the wing so that was great. The team got everyone involved too, so it was great experience. We made it to the final, but unfortunately lost - we were two tries up, but they managed to draw and we lost it in the drop off. Toots played really well. I didn't play the final as I had to revise for exams, but I went to watch so I might as well have played. Ah well!

Clara: It was Aaliyah's Birthday party and we stayed up to 3am! Mummy and Daddy came round to see the Critters Up Close where we got to hold some pretty amazing animals such as snakes and lizards, and saw scorpions and spiders! We had loads of water fights. It was so much fun!

We had final rehearsals for our Gail Meade show! I can't wait!

C: Misuka Japanese - full! Nice though!

S: Stephen Botchjob fixes retic and solar! BF went to Yanchep for our trip away - it was so much fun! We managed a nice mix of work and play, and the "Group Swim" was born!

2017-11-13 Super Series, Presentations, Windsurfing, Kaleidoscope, Pool!

 

Clara: We finally beat the boys at touch in Alkimos! It took some practice and some help from Aiysha directing us what to do, but it was soooo cool! Hope we can continue to do it!

I finally did my Meniscus / Touch Rugby presentation, and I was so proud. I think I covered most areas, and the teacher said I did well. I'm glad it is over!

We finally watched the Lego Batman Movie - Daddy watched it on the plane, and it was strange at first, but I really got into it by the end! Aiysha should watch it!

Aiysha: I'm glad I missed the Lego Batman Movie!

Not long before Uncle Dave comes! We are all sooo excited! We finally got into our pool too!

Matt invited us out to Kaleidoscope, and it was sooo lucky because we completely forgot! It was a really fun night, and the Kotekas came along too!


C: Summer is finally here - we are in our pool!

S: First swim in the ocean, first windsurf of the season!

We also went to the Town of Cottesloe to do some research for an upcoming tender - that is a nice way to work!

2017-11-01 Super Series, Shou, Full Contact Rugby!

 

Aiysha: Had a practice game against a Japanese side which we won pretty easily. It was fun though and was at Cottesloe which was lovely! I didn't get much game time which was a shame.

We also had a tournament where we had to play women's teams. It was sooo daunting at first, but in the end we managed to get to the final. We lost the final to a team that had some Australian players in, but it was great to be part of that! Dad got lots of videos!

Clara: There was a huge bush fire when we took Aiysha to the tournament!


C: Aiysha played so well! Tried out a new Japanese Restaurant Shou - yummy! Even the little ice cream balls!

S: Well done Paish! Not so scary now, eh?
