2018-06-17 Trials, Trials and more Trials

Clara: Aiysha and I are trialing for loads of things - I got State Schools, Aiysha has Warriors and Western Force and Touch Rugby!

I played okay, and Namahe happened to be marking me. We both got through to the next trial that is tomorrow!

We lost to Hammersley, but we could have beaten them though. We just made too many mistakes!

Aiysha: I had my dinner dance at Aqua on Friday - it was amazing, and I had a makeup lady come round and do my make up - it looked amazing! It was a fun night though!

The trials went okay in the first round of Warriors, so onto the next round!

We beat Rebels which was great, and they have beaten all but two teams this season - there is hope for us yet!

C: Roxy you did an amazing job to get to the next round of State Schools!

S: Took Burning Fruit team to Time's Up Escape Rooms - Wanted - it was so much fun, and we got out, a little after time though!

My Under-11s played the best game ever, and beat a team we got smashed by at the beginning of the season. My Opens team lost by one point again this week! Not as painful as the collapse from last week, but disappointing all the same.

I sneaked in to Kmart to take a photo of Paish! Tee hee...

2018-06-12 Rain, Exams and Recovery

Aiysha: I managed to so far pass 3 of my most difficult subjects in my exams - Maths, Physics and Chemistry! I am so happy, and all that hard work paid off!

I injured my ankle at rugby last week, but still managed to score two tries, play netball which we lost in the last minute by one goal against Hammersley, and I had Warriors trials on Sunday. The weather was crazy all week with howling winds, thunder and a bucket full of rain.

On Saturday night Dad and I had to leave the Australia vs Ireland game on TV to watch Western Force vs Rebels. It poured down with rain there, but luckily we were under cover. The Force lost, but it was a good game and very funny, especially the guy who was kicking to the posts for $20,000! He was awful! There were some guys trying to start a Mexican wave - fail!

Clara: I did the best two runs ever this week! For some reason, I got around 30 minutes for my 6km, knocking 5 minutes off my time! I can't believe it! Daddy and Aiysha were not happy, tee hee. I also did a full 10 laps for my interval run - the last lap I had to do super quick! I felt great!

I went to Latitude with Jasmin this week, and we also went to watch West Coast Fever win their game last week at Perth Arena. Aaliyah was there, and it was fun watching her dancing. I always tried to go down to meet her. We also went to dinner at the tea house, but it was rushed because a big group arrived and made our dinner really late - what a shame.

C: Watching the Fever was so much fun! Shame about our dinner. The girls are playing so well at their netball too it is amazing to watch! Well done girls! Weather is awful though! Where has summer gone?

Well done Paish on your exams! Amazing!

S: Still recovering from my operation, but going well! Gradually doing more and more, and my follow up is this Friday - 2 weeks! Hopefully, he may give me the go-ahead to run! Crossed fingers!

Awesome exam results - just like your Dad!

Also took my team out for a Japanese lunch - the owners turned out to be Korean! Doh!

2018-06-01 Operation and Recovery

S: I went in for my knee operation today. I came about very suddenly as I only went for my diagnosis on Tuesday! It was a horrible day, and I checked myself in at around 11.45. I was looked after very well, and was finally in the theatre by 3.30. I went under very quickly, and came about around 5.30ish. The hospital called Mummy and Paish to pick me up, and I was home for dinner! Phew!

My knee already felt great - no pain for the first time in 14 months! Looking hopeful!

The next day Clara was off school for PD, and Aiysha had a free day after her exams, so I took them both to lunch after I saw Matt my physio who paid me a visit, and I get a deliver of Oska from Darren. We went up to Burns Beach, and it was a beautiful day. We had squid and pulled pork buns, then went for a little sit by pier and then down by the sea - it was lovely!

Aiysha: The sea was amazing! Dad was walking so well, even though he'd just had the operation!

In other news, my exams I think went okay, but not sure at all.

Clara: We had the Talent Quest just before Daddy's operation, and he was able to watch it. I was hosting it with Aiva. It was fun to host, and the acts were an interesting mix. It was such a fun process of auditions to the actual day though.

Finally! Pulled Pork Buns! They were yummy, but I still had to remove the salad!

Well done Daddy on your operation, I'm sure you will be running in no time! Can't wait to play tennis properly!

C: Poor Doody! Hope you recover soon!

2018-05-25 We Beat Swans!

Aiysha: Wow, we had a Friday night game against Swans and Arks, and we beat both! It was such a good game against Swans, and I loved tackling in the rain! It was the first time we have beaten them, and we were so happy! It proves that we are in contention to beat the best teams, and now just Neddies to take down. Exciting times!

Clara: I keep getting put into GS! It is not that fun, and I would much prefer playing in mid-court. We lost to Everlast Flames who were top of the table, but I feel we could have done better against them.

S: I took my team bowling and we had a bring your own food into the office day - it was a fun day, and Henry was very competitive at bowling, but didn't manage to repeat his performance the last time. It was a fun day though!

Our netball teams are starting to come good. Our Under 11s are starting to play well, and our Opens are learning the lessons of patience.

C: Well done Aiysha winning such a tough game of rugby! Rain - Winter is finally here :-(

2018-05-13 Mothers Day and Western Force!

Clara: We took Mummy out to a lovely Mothers Day! We drove to Swan Valley and went on the Winery Wagon Tour which was really funny! We didn't go vast distances, but it was so nice sitting in the front and experiencing the whole 3 hours of the tour. We went into the chocolate factory as well as quite a few other wineries, coffee places and a cheese tasting! After that we came back and had lunch at home. Daddy and Paish went to Western Force with Vio and Jenna, and I stayed home with Moomy! It was a lovely day!

Aiysha: The wagon trail was cool! Western Force was cool! I did miss the face plant by the parachute guy though. Luckily, Dad caught it on his camera!

C: Thanks guys! It was a lovely Mothers Day! Thank you for your presents!

S: What a relaxing day!

2018-05-06 Netball, Rugby, CSI Video and School Starts Again!

Clara: For PEAC, I chose CSI and for my project I had to do a reconstruction of a CSI investigation! Daddy and I discussed the theme on a walk one night time, and Mummy and I did a lot of videoing over the school holidays, and we finally put it all together with Daddy's help! It was so much fun, and it turned out great! Have a look below, and let me know what you think! I also presented it at my first PEAC class when I got back, and no one else dressed up like I did! I was pretty proud of the effort I put in!

We won at netball against a very weak side last week, but this week we played Sorrento Saints. They were okay, but I didn't enjoy it as I played GS for 3/4 quarters, and did not enjoy it as it is my least favourite position. We lost by 6 points, and I moved into GA in the 4th quarter, but it was too late. What a disappointing game. I really hope I don't stay there!

School started again with an Anzac Ceremony - it was really nice, and Daddy and Mummy came along, and I was singing in the choir.

Aiysha: Netball last week was not great - we were beaten by a lot against Hammersley, and this week we should have played better against Paua Rose, but lost it in the very first quarter and could not claw it back. We missed a lot of chances to come back. What a shame. Hopefully we can improve!

I had my first rugby game in the morning, and even though we lost the first game to Swans, I reckon if we get the basics right we could really challenge them. We beat Arks by a few tries, and I scored one of the back of a ruck! I was pretty happy!

Roxy's video is funny!

We went to watch Fiji vs Western Force - the first game after the ARU pushed the Force out of the Super Rugby tournament - it was a great game, some amazing tries, and we went to a Chinese after!

We were all soooo tired! I actually had an all day netball tournament for school, and we came second, so I was exhausted! I enjoyed it though!

C: It was so funny shooting the video, and it turned out great!

S: Well done Roxy for all your hard work on the video. Keep at it girls with your sport, it turn out good!

2018-04-27 Mummy's Birthday! Western Force Trials

Clara: It was Mummy's birthday today! Yippee! We finally managed to plan a great day, and of course it involved opening presents! We started off with a few presents, then we took Mummy for a drive down the coast while listening to the sequel to The Girl With All The Gifts - The Boy On The Bridge. It was really good, again!

We stopped off at Voyage Kitchen for a huge breakfast! Mummy and Daddy had the usual cooked Farmhouse breakfast, and me and Aiysha had pancakes - it was soooo yummy! We then went for a drive down to the south of the city to Cahunu Koala Park - it was one of the first parks Mummy and Daddy went to when they arrived in Perth - it was soooo funny! Koalas, pigs, train ride, crocodiles, horses, pelicans, rabbits, birds, ostriches, emus, kangaroos - all in one place! We even got to feed them popcorn! The koalas were fighting too!

We came back in the afternoon, and had a lazy afternoon at home opening more presents and eating chocolate! Mummy got a diffuser which smells so nice.

Aiysha: We also got Mummy some kitchen towels and some mits for the oven - she loved them! Daddy got her some cheap Easter eggs that were on sale - cheapo! It was such a fun day, and we even went for cakes and coffee!

I've had a couple of training sessions with the Western Force U18 - it is the start of the womens game here, and it is very exciting!

C: What an awesome day guys! I loved it! Thanks guys and everyone for their good wishes!

S: Happy Birthday Moomis! You are a year older than I am now!

2018-04-30 Seamers Tournament, Latitude!

Clara: We had such a fun tournament - Daddy coached us again, and we had a great team! Talesha, Cara, Shayla, Bella, Mia, Holly, me, and a guest appearance from Aaliysha! How funny is that!

We lost the first game to an older team, but managed to beat the others to get to the final - we had some close calls, and it was soooo hot! We had 6 games in total, and played the team we played first in the final - Lightening Strikes. It was such a close game, and was so exciting! However, in the end we lost by just one goal! It was disappointing, but the day was so much fun that we didn't mind so much. I only just lost out on the player of the tournament which was a shame, as it went to a person in the winning team.

Daddy and I played rugby at Scarborough one evening when we had to drop Aiysha off - it was fun!

Aiysha: I went to see Sean in the morning, then came along to Seamers, and it was such good fun! Clara played so well, and they were so close to winning!

We have been to a new trampoline / climbing place called Latitude! It is amazing, and I've been with my friends and Clara's friends - we love it!

S: Awesome tournament Roxy Roo! Well done to you and your team - it was a pleasure to coach you!

C: Amazing tournament - so much fun! Let's do it next time and win!

2018-04-22 Long Bike Ride, Bush Walk in Yanchep! Get The Beat at Newman College

Aiysha: Ah man, Dad wanted us to go on a HUGE bike ride to Burns Beach, AND a 12km bush walk around Yanchep - wowzer!

The bike ride was fun - me and Daddy stuck together on the way there, and we stopped off at Burns Beach Cafe for some chips and cake. It took us around 1 hour to get there, which was pretty good! Daddy had to go with Clara on the way back, and they smashed it! We took it pretty leisurely on the way back.

The walk was pretty tough though, but was also more fun than I thought it was going to be. I had a couple of scares along the way - basically, Daddy scared me when I was checking out the ants nest and the bunkers - not funny.

Clara: I had my dance troupe competition performing Shout at Newman College on Saturday - it was cool and I loved it. I stayed on to watch the rest of the dance comp and Aiysha and Daddy went off to sneakily look for presents for Mummy's birthday, and were pretty successful! Well done guys!

The bike ride was hard, but Daddy and I had fun on the way back, and it went really quickly! The walk was pretty cool though, but did take a long time - we finished off with lunch and ice creams in Yanchep Park which was really nice. When we got home we relaxed.

I got invited out onto Aaliyah's jet ski again! It was fun!

C: I loved the bike ride and the walk! We should do it more often!

Our roof decided to fall in - everyone thought it was asbestos, so we had to send it off for forensic testing! Luckily it wasn't!

S: Well done guys for finishing it! Let's plan the next one!

Awesome dance Rox! 2nd place!

2018-04-09 Venue Maestro is launched!

S: We finally launched our new business http://venuemaestro.com/. It was well worth it and looking great! We have a lot of interest already, which is awesome! Let's see where it goes, eh?

Had a cool business lunchtime walk with AJ along Burns Beach in the rain - lovely food at Burns Beach Cafe!

C: Well done on Venue Maestro! Looks great!

Aiysha: Exciting times Dad!

Clara: What's all this about Dad? Funny picture of Daddy!

2018-03-26 Joondalup Festival, Interschool Carnival, End of Mango Season

Clara: We had Interschool Carnival this week, and I didn't do as well as I thought I would. I won Long Jump, but came third in long throw. In the sprints I came forth which was disappointing, but I perhaps didn't practice sprints as much as I should have. Something to aim for next year!

We all went to Joondalup Festival which was fun! We had some nice food, and Aaliyah came with us which was really funny.

Aiysha: We had our last tray of mangos by going to our local mango farm in Wanneroo - soooo expensive, but it is our last of the season. It was fun though!

C: I'm going to miss our stone fruits!

S: No more mangos! What the!

2018-03-11 Evening Beach, Western Force Womens, Leadership Field Trip

Clara: I went on a leadership field trip to Parliament House and listened to some amazing speakers about their lives. I felt so lucky to go, and the stories they told were both sad and inspiring!

I loved being on the beach at sun set with Aiysha - it was so much fun just playing around and being in the water. Thank you Aiysha for suggesting we go to the beach, it was brilliant!

Aiysha: What an amazing Saturday night - I decided we all should go to Mullaloo even though it looked like it was really windy, but when we got there it was wonderful! It was windy, but intermittently, and the water was so warm! We had our Go-Pro and took some pretty cool videos of the waves, some crabs, and is body surfing! We were in the water when the sun set, which was a cool place to be!

I had work on Saturday and Sunday and in the afternoon on Sunday we went to watch the Western Force Womens against the Melbourne Rebels - we smashed them, and Courtney scored 6 tries! Amazing to watch live! Their next game is in 2 weeks time, so we have to watch that!

C: What an amazing evening at the beach!

S: Wow, one evening to remember!
