2007-07-27 My Australia Party!

Aiysha: I had my Australia birthday party last Saturday, and it was so fun! All the girls in my PP1 class came, apart from Portia, and a couple from PP2. Mummy organised a makeup party, and I helped her make the cakes and snacks ready for my party. It was really thundery, and everyone had to run into our house! It was funny! Lucky my party was inside. We got to do our nails, our hair (which we had to do outside), play games, and dance. We all had our picture taken too, and everyone was allowed to take the picture home with them at the end! It was the best party ever! I was so excited all day, that I wanted to stay up with Mummy and Daddy all night talking about it!

Last week, I also had dinner at Jasmine's, played with Jack, Charlie and Florry, and Jasmine also cam over to play at ours.

I also stated school this week, and I got to read my scrapbook to everyone over 2 days - I was so pleased! A lot of people thought Miles was wearing an Australian flag, but actually Mummy made him a shirt out of a British flag.

I also had my first gym class on Wednesday, and it was the best! I was so excited! We did all sorts of exercise, and Mummy and Cloggy were so proud.

On Thursday however, I did a handstand in the classroom, and accidentally kicked someone in the head - and I was put straight in the thinking chair! I was sooooo upset about it, as I have never been put there, and I thought it was only for naughty people. I cried a lot, and when Mummy picked me up and we talked about school, I broke down when I told her about the thinking chair. I was so sad, and Mummy had to phone the school because she couldn't understand why I was being naughty, as it was only an accident. Mummy promised not to tell anyone, not even Daddy.

Clara: My big sister lifts me everywhere, has baths with me, plays with me, pats my back when I am coughing, covers me when I am cold, makes sure I am lying on a cloth so I don't get everywhere dirty, reads me stories, and makes me laugh! She is wonderful, and I love her so much!

C: Cloggy was off the chart for her height (70cm) - she's gonna be tall! And she is also at the top for her weight (8.2kg)! Sometimes we forget she is only 5 months old.

S: More wood chopping this weekend - rather wet and cold here, but quite spectacular weather! Pretty similar to England!

Meals: Sweet Chilli Sauce Chicken, Chop Chop, Anchovy and Olive Spaghetti

2007-07-17 I See The Sun!

Aiysha:
I had such a great time in England visiting Lowbarn, 60 Woodmarket, France, Rotherham and Twin Lakes! It was so much fun seeing everyone, and I have so many great memories! Cloggy has grown up so much, and I am looking after her really well! Thank you so much everyone for such a great holiday!

Hong Kong was amazing! There were fireworks when we arrived and when we left! The Football Club was so much fun, and we had some lovely food around town! Unfortunately, Cloggy and I did not sleep too well, but luckily for us, we had the most beautiful lychees and coconut buns to get us through! We also went for a few coffees at Pacific Coffee, Uncle Dave's favourite, and Cloggy did and exceptionally large bot bot which went everywhere! She wanted to leave a present for Uncle Dave!

We are now back in Perth, and it has been really sunny for the last week. I have seen Jasmine, Jack Salt, Charlie, Flory so far! I did miss them. We went to the park with Jack, Charlie and Flory, and then they came back to our place. Jamine's Mum Cherie told us how to do a proper fire - Daddy will be happy. The whole family has not been very well, but we have managed to struggle through somehow this past week. We all have colds, but Cloggy seems to be doing the best now.

I haven't been to school in 7 weeks now, and I almost have forgotten what school is! Mummy has insisted that I do not read baby books anymore, and read my readers to be ready for school. Daddy has been getting me to do ball skills, and we just spent the weekend tidying up everything for the verge collection! Daddy chopped loads of logs, and cruised around the streets looking for more wood. On Sunday, we managed to have a beautiful walk along Mullaloo Beach, watching the surfers, getting wet, and collecting sea shells.

Clara: I love my first solid food - mushy corgette! I want to join in rugby tackling with Daddy and Aiysha! It looks so funny, and my big sister screams so much!

C: Aiysha has grown up so much since we left for England! She is growing up so fast...

S: Chopping wood ain't so easy, even with a chainsaw...

Meals: Special Beef, Moon Noodles, Chop Chop.

2007-06-03 On my own...

S: Booo, miss you girls, sooo lonely by the fire, only myself to talk to, but...

Watched the sun set on Burns Beach after I cycled past Mullaloo Beach, and back. Lovely! Played touch rugby with Jeremy on Sunday, and going to Todd's tomorrow for dinner. Lot's of music, and a few videos here and there.

Otherwise, I can't wait to carry on my holiday!

Love you all! Kiss kiss cuddle cuddle! Not long now!

2007-05-21 Pixel Chix!

Aiysha:
On Saturday I had a lovely play at Laurens - we did gymnastics and bounced on the trampolines - Mummy and Daddy said I can got to gymnastics after my holiday! I can't wait!

When I got back, Mummy and Daddy said I could have one of my birthday presents early - I was so excited! I went into my room, and there it was! My very own pink house Pixel Chix game! I love it! Thank you! Mummy and Daddy said I shouldn't play it all the time, and perhaps on the plane to England may might be a good time. Brilliant!

On Sunday, Mummy took me skating, which was great fun, and then we went on a walk on the Light Horse Trail. It was a pretty short walk, and Mummy read all the historical plaques to me - really interesting! There were some really strange trees - it was so nice being out in the bush. As we were near Strawberry Fields, Mummy and Daddy thought we might be able to get a cake if it was open - and it was! Cloggy even sat in her own high chair! We had a nice tea there, but the owners, who are two women, are leaving, which is a shame. I was a little chilli out tonight!

I helped Daddy set up fires all weekend!

Kayla also came to play this week, which was really nice. I also went to play at hers!

Clara: I love sitting in a high chair!

C: Oh dear - tried to cook a chilli in the slow cooker, and it did not go well...

S: Did an amazing lamb curry in the slow cooker - come on Claire! It's easy!

Favourite Baby: Pixel Chick

Meals: Curry in a cooker, Chilli in a cooker.

2007-05-14 Charlie and Florry!

Aiysha:
I was so excited when Mummy told me that Charlie and Florry were coming to play because they were moving house! I couldn't wait! They arrived just before lunchtime, and we had so much fun! We made cakes, and made a real mess! We played so nicely all day! We played in the games room lots, and even kicked the ball around the front lawn! Florry was very good at that! I hope they can come again soon!

On Sunday, Mummy took me to my swimming lesson, and then Daddy took me for a tennis lesson. All these boys, and one girl, came to watch me play! I was so proud when they said I was really good. Daddy then asked them if they wanted to play poison ball. They all wanted to play! They were about 10 years old, and tried to be a little cheeky with Daddy, but Daddy got them all! Well done Daddy! They collected all the balls for me when we ran out - it was so much fun. We played in the park too!

On Sunday evening, all 4 of us went for a walk at Burns Beach. I took my buggy with Lucy in it, and I scooted down the hills! I walked all the way, and it was pretty windy, but funny! We got an ice cream too!

Clara: I'm still sleeping through! It's easy!

C: Lovely walk on Burns Beach - really wild!

S: Funny tennis lesson! Everyone had fun!

2007-05-07 Sleeping Through!

Aiysha:
On Saturday, Daddy took me for a tennis lesson - I started very tired, but it got so much more fun when we started playing some games, and I was hitting the ball really well! I even had my first small rally! At the end I said I really enjoyed it!

We then went shopping to buy a slow cooker - I don't know why Mummy and Daddy want to take so long cooking something - seems really silly to me!

We did all our shopping, but Mummy and Daddy forgot to buy something for dinner! Silly them! I had an omlette, and they had a spicy Thai curry - yuk!

On Sunday, I asked Daddy for pancakes, and I got them! He did a funny thing with The Cloggy - he put some sweet milk on his lips, then kissed Clary - she just licked and licked! It was really funny!

We then all went to 'The Maze', which was meant to be a birthday surprise for Mummy, but the weather wasn't nice. We brought a picnic, and it was so nice! We went into the maze, and got lost after finding only 2 poles! I was not happy, and people had to help direct us out. Daddy was disappointed, but us girls were relieved...

Daddy has started making nice warm fires now - I know how to make them too!

Clara: I slept through! Yeah!

C: Clara slept through! YEAH!

S: Clara slept through! Wahoo!

Meals: Fish Curry in slow cooker

2007-04-31 Mummy's Birthday & Daddy Helper

Aiysha:
It's Mummy's birthday! I was so excited! Mummy wanted to keep all her presents for tonight, so that was fine. Daddy came home early, and Mummy let me open all her presents! She had so many! Some presents I could not open, like the one from Auntie Lizzie which was really wrapped tightly in selotape! Clara and I got Mummy a new set of Boule! How exciting! Can't wait to play it!

After all that, Daddy surprised me by asking me if I was too tired to go to Western Force - I didn't even know there was a game! I said no, of course, and we had a quick dinner, and set off! We got to Subiaco at about 6.30, then walked around for a while looking at all the open shops. We then walked to the stadium, and it was empty! Daddy got the time wrong, and it was a late start - YEAH! It started at 7.40, and it was great! We were playing the Cheatas, and we won easily! I had some chips too while we waited for the match to start!

We got home really late, after I swung on all the bars in all the trains! It was a funny night!

I tried to sleep in on Saturday, but could only manage until 8.30. Daddy wanted to suprise Mummy by letting Mummy and I cycle to Hawkins Park - but Mummy knew what the surprise was! We went to the cafe and chose Mummy's cake! I got a small cake for myself, as I did not like the one Mummy chose. In the afternoon it was Chelsea's birthday party at Hungry Jacks in Whitfords! It was so exciting! Daddy chased us for a while, then went shopping while Mummy watched us. When we all came back, Daddy lit the candles, and we sang happy birthday to mummy! I went to bed early.

It rained all day Sunday. Daddy and I played soldiers, we went to Bunnings, I jumped in puddles, and I played goalie. Funny day.

On Monday, I was so excited! Daddy was coming to be Daddy helper! He took me in, and I showed him where to go. I did some puzzles with him, then he went to cut the fruit - and he did his smiley faces! That made everyone laugh, and they told him they were eating parts of his face. Daddy helped me run around the oval, but I was a bit tired. He was there for the story of the wide mouth frog, as we were learning about the letter 'F'. He chased everyone at break time, and picked up Jack Salt! He left at lunchtime, and I gave him the biggest hug and kiss!

Clara: Bleh!

C: Thank you so much for my presents everyone!

S: MMmmmm, homemade burgers...

Meals: Homemade Burgers, Hot Pepper Prawns, Sam's Lamb Curry

2007-04-26 Aussie Barbie!

Aiysha:
More visitors last week! monday was Olivia and Karen, who stayed for so long, until the afternoon, even though it was meant to be morning tea! Tuesday was Jill, Beau and Ben - we met on the foreshore, and went on scooters! I fell off and scratched my face, but it was worth it! Ben held and pushed Clary bean everywhere! On Friday, we me Eve, Alana and Matthew at Heathcote Park, and played hide and seek.

On Saturday, Mummy and I planned a surprise for Daddy - we went to Whitfords Nodes Park for an Australian Breakfast! Bacon, eggs, mushrooms and bread! It was yummy! Daddy then played ball games while me and Mummy watched him. Mummy and I went for a walk along the beach while Daddy looked after Clary. On Sunday, we did so many jobs around the house, and dug a hole for mummy next the the palm in the garden. We want to plant something to hide the big house...

Wednesday was Anzac Day, and Mummy and Daddy told me all about why we celebrate it! Very important! I asked Daddy, Mummy and Clary to sit at the wall facing the frog house so I could do a performance! I did it, and it is on video! It was funny, as Daddy played his guitar, and I sung! Mummy and Daddy laughed so much! We went to a bike ride when it was almost dark! We cycled down to the park, and I rode on Daddy's handle bars down a really steep hill! Mummy couldn't watch!

Clara: I loved watching Aiysha in the frog house! She was so funny, and sang along with Daddy's guitar! I met so many people this last two weeks, it has been so fun! Daddy has started scrummaging with me, and I laugh everytime he does it! I have started sleeping in my cot now, and I love it! I am too big for my bassinette...I also love suckingmy thumb! It's yummy!

C: Aiysha's show was hilarious! Running round and round the table, laughing and singing! What a performance!

S: I can't believe it has taken 2 years for our first Aussie Breakfast! It won't be 2 years before the next one!

Favourite Baby: Elroy

Meals: Grandpa Arthur's Beef Noodles, Rogan Josh

2007-04-16 Sk8r Girl!

Aiysha:
We had a very funny weekend! While Mummy and Daddy did garden jobs on Saturday morning, I played babies! Daddy then took me to swimming where I did really good breathing when I did front crawl - I sad that I can't do it in my pool now! We then decided to go to Leapfrog's for lunch and play some golf! Lunch was lovely, but "they really did put too much vegemite on my toast". I then went around the golf course - I got a hole in 1 on the first one, and everyone was watching! Really funny!

The storms came in on Sunday, and it rained, and rained, and rained so heavy! I went out in my umbrella, and boots, and jumped around! It was so funny! We were going to go to Mandurah crabbing, but decided it was too wet, so Mummy, Daddy and Clary took me to rollerskating for the second time, and it was excellent! I finally got blades, as they didn't have blades last time, and after a shakey start, I was going round really well. Daddy walked around with me, and Mummy was really good on her blades! I want to be like her! I had so much run, and the sock race at the end was brilliant, even though I ran into another girl and made her cry.

I love roller blading! I even told Grandma Sik about it on the phone!

Clara: Mummy and Daddy and Aiysha took me to a really dark room with really loud music, and shouting! I watched my big sister put these things on her feel, and roll around, and fall over sometimes. I thought it was a funny place, but also very relaxing, as I fell asleep.

C: Getting a bit chilly now! I will miss our pool! We need solar heating! Clary has started feeding only once a night (just!) - we'll see how long that lasts!

S: Aiysha takes an hour to eat dinner - she talks so much!

Favourite Baby: Lucy & Bella
Meals: Chicken Sagwala, Mousakka

2007-04-12 I Want To Ride My Bicycle!

Aiysha: I rode on my bike so much over the easter weekend! It was really funny! Daddy thought that I should have a go at getting to Neil Hawkins Park, and I really wanted to try! Mummy gave Daddy and I a lift to the lake, and then we set off! Daddy was in the lead to start with, then I over-took him, and we raced all the way to Neil Hawkins Park! I didn't fall off once! When we got there, Mummy just got out of the car! She was so surprised! We helped Mummy and Clary out of the car, then we walked down, and carried on cycling until we went past the field, and then we turned back. I almost didn't make it, and was a little upset when I couldn't make it up one of the hills, but I made it in the end! We spotted Mummy on her walk too! We decided, after a little rest, and playing in the park, that we would cycle home. I was so proud of myself. Daddy said that it was even further than Auntie Lizzie cycled!

On Saturday, we decided to park the car at our nearest park, Mummy would walk to Neil Hawkins Park with Clary, and we would cycle there. We got there so quick that we turned around, and went looking for Mummy. We spotted her about halfway, turned, then went back to the jetty to wait. Mummy walked really quickly, and when she got there, she took us to a French Cafe where I had a lovely biscuit. Next time, Mummy said we would have a cake! We watched lots of people carry cakes out of the shops, and Daddy and Mummy were licking their lips.

Daddy took me to play tennis on Sunday morning, which was really funny, as we played goalie, and poison ball.

On Monday, Mummy was not feeling too well. Daddy took Clary and I down to our nearest park, well, I cycled there! Daddy and Clary stayed at the park, while Daddy gave me targets to reach on my bike - I was going so fast down the hills! I met a girl who was 4 - her Daddy was so impressed when I mounted my bike, avoided a dog and 3 people on the path before cycling home. Daddy then took me to Mullalloo for a walk in the afternoon, and it was the funniest! We started having races, then we played poison waves. Daddy then tried to play tag with the tennis ball we had. On the way back, we looked for treasure - we had found these little seaweed bubbles, and when we found then, Daddy and I got really close together, and we squeezed them to see how loud they popped! It was soooo funny! I told Daddy that this was one of then funniest walks I've ever been on! He had fun too!

Clara: I pushed myself off my changing mat this week! Won't belong until I turn over and crawl!

C: I look forward to my bike rides!

S: We were amazed at how well Aiysha can cycle! Something that we've always wanted here to do is cycle round the lake, and now she can do it!

2007-04-04 I'm The Bike Rider!

Aiysha:
I can ride on my own! Finally, I can push off on my own, and Daddy and I chased each other around our close! It was really funny! I still struggle to push off, as the bike is a little big for me, but if I go downhill, it is really easy! I am so proud, and happy! Mummy and Daddy recorded it on video too!

Daddy had an operation on his teeth last Thursday, and he has fallen asleep on my bed several times when he has been doing pat make sure. Poor Daddy - I've been making sure I take care of him.

The Easter Bunny came to my school on my last day, and I found his footprint, but didn't see him. He left loads of easter eggs though! It is easter this weekend, and I can't wait!

Clara: I am smiling so much now! Daddy and I had a conversation - he talked, and I grunted to him several times. It was funny!

C: I don't believe Daddy had a conversation with Clary! My friend Kelly came with her daugher Ella, and we had a lovely day together! Not warm enough to go in the pool though...

S: Went to Western Force on Friday, even after my op, and it was the best game so far against the best South African side the Sharks! We won convincingly.

Meals: Spaghetti Bolognaise
