2006-04-01 We’re Almost In Our New House!

A: It was sad to see Grandma and Grandad go – I had such fun with them, and they really made me laugh! Grandma always did puzzles with me, and Grandad always read me a really funny story. He also has the softest ears! Daddy thinks so too! Daddy took me to Perry Lakes while Mummy went for her Bold Park swim. We played basketball, rugby, watched the skateboarders, and climbed trees! I also had my second attempt at riding without stabilisers but with Daddy’s help, and I did really well! It won’t be long before I am riding on my own! We spent a lovely afternoon at Matilda Bay – almost all the jellies have gone! I caught a few, but winter is here, and they gave disappeared.

C: Had a lovely birthday – lots of cards, presents, and messages from sooo many people. I even got a song on the answer machine which cut off in the middle – I wonder who that could have been? Busy hunting around for plants for our new house. We might even get a real mango tree – now that would be amazing! Mango pancakes here we come! We get to do our final inspection this Sunday! It is so exciting!

S: Great to see Mum and Dad enjoying Scarborough Beach walking and running during the week. We gave them a taste of garage sales too – just a shame that the sales were not very good. The weather took a turn for the worst, but it didn’t stop us going walking along the coast in the rain. It cleared up pretty much everytime, and the rainbows were lovely.

Meals: Hock, Chicken in Salty and Sweet Sauce, Stir Fried Prawns, Chop-Chop

Favourite Baby: Fluffy, as he helped me sleep when I was upset

Lovely to have your news. Spring on the way here as winter approaches down under. Lots of bird song in the garden and a talkative cuckoo. Good to hear all had a good time when Brian and Sik were with you. Hope you had a happy inspection of your new home at the weekend.
