2006-06-19 My First Sleep Over!

A:
Had my first sleepover on Friday - guess who came over? Hannah! She is my best friend at the moment. We picked up Hannah from Harmony, and then Mummy took us to Hilary's Marina to do some trampolining! So funny! We then went down to the beach, and even though we were told not to get wet because we had no spare clothes, we couldn't help ourselves, and got wet!

At night time, we had lovely fish, and we both ate really well. Daddy then put Nemo on, and me and Hannah sat in silence watching it as we were scared of the sharks.

Daddy brushed our teeth, and then we tried to get to bed, but we were so excited. Daddy had to sit in our bedroom in the end until we had fallen asleep. Hannah woke up in the night, but went back to sleep again. I slept through...ahhhh.

In the morning, we crept into Mummy and Daddy's bedroom, and pretended they were monsters! We screamed and screamed, it was really funny!

We dropped Hannah off before tennis, and I did some really good aeroplane wings again! I watched the ball really carefully, and stepped when I was suppose to with my left foot!

We did lots of house jobs this weekend to get ready for our holiday, but we managed to take Daddy down to Mullalloo Beach, our nearest beach - he has never seen it before, and he thought it was amazing! He went for a run while I played catch in the park with older boys and girls. One boy tried to climb up on my concrete pillar, but I pushed him off, tee hee. Mummy was not too happy about this.

On Sunday, Daddy and I played a tennis game in the pergoda, and I won! He had to throw balls into the lounger, and I had to keep them out using aeroplane wings and stop signs! It was really funny. I also fed Shortie, our neighbours (Barry and Rosalind) dog, and we also met our other neighbours who have just moved from the UK - they talk funny, but Daddy says they are from Yorkshire, so it is ok.

I helped Mummy and Daddy sort out the pool, and also did some makeup with Mummy.

I had a long talk with Auntie Lizzie on the phone last night - can't wait to see her to sing 'We got pink!'

I love roast lamb!

C: The preparations for Aiysha's party are almost there - baking cakes on Wednesday, Fairy Queen Caroline is booked, and her friends are coming. One friend cannot come, but she has more than enough coming! It is forecast to be a lovely sunny day, so hope it stays that way! This winter has been beautiful, it has only rained once in the last month!

S: Mullaloo Beach was empty! I ran up to the view point, which was quite amazing - we could easily take a picnic and watch the sunset there, it is so peaceful! We sorted out the pool this weekend, and kept the fire going all weekend! It is so relaxing having a log fire!

Meals: Roast Lamb, Pink Snapper in sweet sauce

2006-06-15 World Cup Fever, but no TV!

A: Last weekend, Daddy spent a lot of time in the attic, and in Bunnings, trying to sort out our TV so we can watch the England World Cup Match. In the end, Daddy had to call his friend Martin, who had done it before. They spent almost 3 hours on the roof, in the lounge, and in the attic putting the new aeriel in, just in time to watch the football. Daddy was very tired. Unfortunately, I had to go to bed before the football started, but that is ok.

I did my own predictions on Daddy’s special sheet – I hope I win!

I did some really good tennis with Daniel this week, but Mummy may take me to Hillary’s next season after our trip to England.

On Sunday, on the way back from our nearest park, we collected lots of twigs and branches for our fire! It was so funny – Mummy filled up my pram full of logs, and could not walk past a big twig and not pick it up, even if she tried really hard! Daddy laughed at her! We are all set to receive our 1-tonne delivery of big logs next week!

I now have 7 people coming to my party! I am so happy, I can’t wait! They didn’t all reply at once, so Mummy had to catch them at kindy, and they all said they were coming! It is going to be so much fun!

Steve the pool man came to look at our pool, and found a few things wrong with it, so I will not be able to swim in it before I go to England. I will have to find a pool in England, or France to swim in! I want to show everyone how well I can swim.

I started at my new StateSwim in Joondalup yesterday, and the teacher made us work really hard – I even had to balance a float on my head, and walk to the end of the pool! I was in a class with 3 naughty boys, and they couldn’t do any of the balancing – tee hee! I also got a certificate for putting my head under water! I love being in the advanced class, and I am not even 4!

C: Hmmm, not happy about the pool – the heating system is not working, even though on the outside it seems to work. We’re going to try and go back to the vendors, which is a shame. Aiysha’s swimming was so good! She is so brave, and loves the new pool!

S: Fitting aeriel cables? Never, ever again! It was a nightmare. Did my first run around Joondalup Lake, and it was lovely – so peaceful, and so much to take in and look at!

2006-06-06 Polaris!

A:
Mummy and Daddy were not very well this week, but it was still fun in our new house!

I made friends with the people who are building below our house – 2 girls, one called Caitlin who is 9! Wow! They will be moving in when the house is finished in November.

We just had a long weekend, but we had to go to Thrall Street and clean it so that we might get some money back to spend on our new house. I occupied myself by playing with the toolbox, playing a bit of tennis, and helping Mummy and Daddy with the cleaning. I loved cleaning the windows!

We also did lots of jobs around our new house - cutting the lawn, getting the pool working, and breaking the polaris! Oops! Mummy and Daddy were testing the chemicals in the water too, and found out we could not swim in it - boo! Maybe next week though!

I also handed out all the invitations to my party - I was so proud, and Mummy and Mrs Naz said I did a grand job! Even the boys came up to me and asked if they had an invitation, but I said it was a fairy party. Hannah came in last, which was funny, as she got her invitation last! In my pretend game at home, I give out invitations to the boys too, so that makes me feel a bit better. I do like the boys, especially Nicholas. Ben makes me laugh because he gets sent to the kitchen all the time! Tee hee! Daddy calls Vildan, Zildan - silly Daddy!

I also had 3 tennis lessons with Daniel - one on Saturday, and two on Monday! I really enjoyed my Monday double lesson as there were only 4 people in my class, and I did a lot of good hitting. My stepping went especially well!

C: We woke up this morning to a sunrise of mist. After missing Aiysha's swimming lesson because the alarm would not turn off, Aiysha went to Burns Beach, and it was absolutely beautiful, with the sun rising through the mist, and there was no one on the beach! We phoned Daddy who was at work, and told him we were thinking of him!

S: Watching the sun rise in the morning from our lounge is quite breathtaking! Just hope the house being built below our house does not block the view too much...
