2006-06-15 World Cup Fever, but no TV!

A: Last weekend, Daddy spent a lot of time in the attic, and in Bunnings, trying to sort out our TV so we can watch the England World Cup Match. In the end, Daddy had to call his friend Martin, who had done it before. They spent almost 3 hours on the roof, in the lounge, and in the attic putting the new aeriel in, just in time to watch the football. Daddy was very tired. Unfortunately, I had to go to bed before the football started, but that is ok.

I did my own predictions on Daddy’s special sheet – I hope I win!

I did some really good tennis with Daniel this week, but Mummy may take me to Hillary’s next season after our trip to England.

On Sunday, on the way back from our nearest park, we collected lots of twigs and branches for our fire! It was so funny – Mummy filled up my pram full of logs, and could not walk past a big twig and not pick it up, even if she tried really hard! Daddy laughed at her! We are all set to receive our 1-tonne delivery of big logs next week!

I now have 7 people coming to my party! I am so happy, I can’t wait! They didn’t all reply at once, so Mummy had to catch them at kindy, and they all said they were coming! It is going to be so much fun!

Steve the pool man came to look at our pool, and found a few things wrong with it, so I will not be able to swim in it before I go to England. I will have to find a pool in England, or France to swim in! I want to show everyone how well I can swim.

I started at my new StateSwim in Joondalup yesterday, and the teacher made us work really hard – I even had to balance a float on my head, and walk to the end of the pool! I was in a class with 3 naughty boys, and they couldn’t do any of the balancing – tee hee! I also got a certificate for putting my head under water! I love being in the advanced class, and I am not even 4!

C: Hmmm, not happy about the pool – the heating system is not working, even though on the outside it seems to work. We’re going to try and go back to the vendors, which is a shame. Aiysha’s swimming was so good! She is so brave, and loves the new pool!

S: Fitting aeriel cables? Never, ever again! It was a nightmare. Did my first run around Joondalup Lake, and it was lovely – so peaceful, and so much to take in and look at!
