2008-05-13 My First School Certificate and Mother's Day

Aiysha:
I got presented my first school certificate for Indonesian on Friday, but it was a bit different. Mummy, Daddy and Clogger came to see me get it from Mr. Pond, the headmaster. There was a performance of "You Think You Can Dance" by year 5, and it was really good. Daddy liked the hip-hop, Mummy liked the ballet, and I thought the boys dressed as ballet dancers were really funny! After that Mr. Pond announced each of the certificates in turn, but my name wasn't called! I could see Mummy and Daddy were very upset, and they both went to speak to Mr. Pond, and at the end of the assembly, I had to collect my certificate in front of the school on my own! It was very special, and a bit scary! Mummy and Daddy were relieved, and at the end I had my photo taken with Mr. Pond.

It was Mothers Day on Sunday, and I made Mummy open all of our presents! She got an oil/vinegar pourer from Clogger and some teaspoons, and I gave her a big ice-cream scooper, and some teaspoons! I also made her lots of artwork from school. I bought her a heart shaped mirror key ring from the school shop, the same one I gave Daddy. Where has that gone?

We went for a ride along Matilda Bay to a coffee shop on the river, but it was closed! So we had to go to the Matilda Bay cafe, and had cakes, ice-cream and coffee. Daddy let Clogger get wet, and he got in trouble from Mummy. It was fun! I also climbed some really tall trees along the river too!

We picked a whole bucket full of lemons from our own tree! Wow! Lucky we got another fridge!

Clara: I loved getting soaked at Matilda Bay, and I loved Daddy's milkshakes! I absolutely love Softy and Lucy! I cannot go anywhere without them! I take such good care if them, and I cry whenever I cannot reach them! They are my little sisters!

C: I had a lovely Mothers Day! The weather was lovely, and we had such a nice time on our bikes.

S: Clara was so nice to me this weekend - she came to me for everything! She's a clever one!

Our oven packed in last week, so we spent Saturday looking for an oven. Claire got an unexpected Mothers Day present! More cakes for us now!
