Day 1 (Saturday): We're off on our mini-break!
First
stop - Harvey Dam for lunch, gymnastics and a walk along the top of the
dam. Even though it rained on our walk, we still had a balancing
competition along the kerb of the road along the dam. Roxy and I beat
Daddy, even though Roxy fell off. It was funny.
We then stopped off at the Harvey orange farm, and climbed up the big orange. That was funny!
It took
a while to get to our cabin, but we arrived at around 5pm at Sunnyhurst
Chalets. We loved it! We had mini golf right outside our cabin, and
there are animals next to it, chickens, and a beautiful view! We even
had a log fire, so Daddy will be happy. The owner makes jewelry, and
there is a Winery next door, so Mummy will be happy too! Met Matthew and
Sue who were English and were very nice.
We went out to dinner at a hotel, and it took ages for
our food to arrive. It was nice, and we had ice cream after. Then we
went back to our cabin, got the fire going, and got our cabin ready.
Roxy and I played throwing our swidgy ball from one bunk bed to another,
which was really funny. We also look out of our window and saw some
amazing stars!
We love it here, so cosy!
Day 2 (Sunday): Daddy
went on a run first thing in the morning - it was pretty cold, and he
said he did not see any cars at all! I need to go for a run with him as I
do not believe him!
At 9am we went to feed the animals
- we met Henry, Thomas, the sheep and a new pony. We were given some
bowls of food, and we fed them really carefully. Clara was so careful,
and spent ages feeding her animals, and chose them very carefully. I
went through mine a bit quicker, as they licked my hands and they got
all sloppy! Ew! There are about 2 other families feeding the animals,
and it was fun!
After that, we played a round of mini
golf. I won the first game on the last hole, and it was so much fun! The
sun came out for a bit, but then it started to rain - just like
England! We loved it.
We drove into town after that
and went to the Jigsaw Museum. It was amazing! We were only meant to be
there for a short time, but I started on the big jigsaw of the world
map, and then got Daddy to help me, then Mummy and Clara joined in, then
another girl joined in, and a couple of hours later, we finished! It
was so much fun, and I learned loads about where places are!
For lunch we just had chips, chips and more chips, with ketchup of course! That is because we were running out of daylight. We then drove to the forest to do some bush walking. We listened to Harry Potter, but Mummy, Daddy and Clog all fell asleep! When they woke up, we went for our walk, which was really spooky as there was no one there!
We did a bit of shopping and Daddy made Chilli Chicken and Fish. The chicken was a bit spicy, but the fish was yummy! We all then sat down to watch the first half of The Prestige, a film about magicians - it was strange, but I really liked it, and was not scared!
Roxy and I messed around with out sticky balloons, and then we finally went to sleep really late. Well, Mummy and Daddy thought we had - we were sneaky and stayed up even later! It was fun!
Day 3 (Monday): We fed the animals again this morning and had another round of mini golf- we love it!
Mummy brought us to Bridgetown for a walk along the river - it was the most beautiful walk ever, and it reminded Mummy and Daddy of England. Mummy and Roxy turned round after around half an hour, then Daddy and I picked up the pace and walked further while we played a game of Alphabet Harry Potter - it was really funny, and I loved walking while we do it!
After, Mummy took us to Horti Towers for a cream tea. The place was like a garage sale, and the cream teas were amazing! We loved them!
Daddy and Mummy decided to have a cooked lunch (bacon, eggs, sausages), and after we went to Donnally River and saw the biggest flying fox ever! We tried to book a ride, but it was booked up, which was a shame. Instead we fed the free emus and kangaroos which were a little scary, and went to the park which had most amazing playground! Pretty dangerous too! Clara got scared when the Emus decided to surround our car! Funny!
We had a lovely BBQ for dinner with chicken and beef, and watched the second half of The Prestige. Clara asked so many clever questions about that film - she is really clever!
Day 4 (Tuesday): I went on a run with Daddy today. We sat around the fire for ages trying to warm up before our run, but eventually we had to go. We both had gloves, and Daddy allowed me to choose where we went. There were a few hills, but I didn't stop. Daddy tried to rescue a lamb at one point, but we saw no cars around, it was amazing!
We fed the animals, which I loved, and Clara and I played around while Mummy and Daddy packed up ready to go home. It was quite sad, as we had such a nice time!
It felt a log quicker getting to Perth, and we stopped in Mandurah for lunch at a lovely restaurant, but we hit the traffic back in Perth, which was such a shock. I ended up being late for gym, but that was okay.
We had such a great holiday!
