2012-07-30 Olympics and Sleepover

Aiysha: Missed the opening ceremony of the Olympics, but we recorded it. Watched in on Sunday - wow, it was amazing!

I had a special Friday night gym class for a few of us. We got to train with older kids, and do some skills in Level 5. I loved it - thanks Mum for getting me there!

We had a tough netball game against Carine on Saturday. We played with only 6 players as Lauren was ill. We lost 16-9, but I played well in defence. I had to go straight to gym after, so by the afternoon I was pretty exhausted. All I did was walk to the Bossetts to drop Claire off, and play a bit of monopoly before getting ready for Maddie's party.

Had Maddie's birthday party - an ice skating and treasure hunt! We were skating until 10.30pm! Then we stayed up until 12.30am, so we did get some sleep. Everyone had a great time, and I won a baton in the treasure hunt!

Mummy let me go cycling with Joseph and Lauren around the lake, and we also went to get ice creams at Hillarys together. It was fun being with those two, and they got on really well. Funny how I had to text Mummy where we were on our bike ride.

On Sunday, Mummy and Daddy decided to take us for Fish and Chips and go to City Beach. Daddy loves City Beach - he like to remind us of that each time we go! Boring!

Clara: Claire Bossett came round after netball and we made play dough hedgehogs, and dress ups. It was really funny, and Daddy kept of scaring us!

On Sunday morning, I spent the morning with Daddy while Mummy went shopping. I was a bit worried about it, but we had such a great time! We went for tennis lessons - Daddy thought I played so well. Then we played poison ball, and I ran so much and beat Daddy twice! We were then meant to fly our kites, but there was no wind, so we shot some hoops, and I got 3 baskets in the big kids hoop! I was so proud. We then did some running race, and I beat Daddy again! It was funny. When we got back, Aiysha was back, and I gave her such a big hug as I missed her so much when she went for her sleep over! I did get to watch the Olympics opening ceremony, and it made me laugh so much, especially the Mr. Bean bit.

In the afternoon we went to Alison's party at Edgewater Lake, and I managed to cycle round the whole lake for the first time! It was tough, but I did it!

A whole gang of us went to Kalamunda History Village where we looked a lot of old things, and even went into an old school and sat in their old desks! Funny!

C: Wow, what a ceremony!

S: Amazing opening ceremony! Completely surprising...
