2014-12-25 Merry Christmas Everyone!

Clara: Santa was so cool, and his helpers gave Aiysha and I so many cool things! Thanks Santa!

I woke up at 5, and it was soooo boring waiting for everyone else to get up! Daddy even went back to sleep for a bit, but I decided to tickle his ears to keep him awake. Tee hee!

We brought Santa's stockings into Mummy and Daddy's room, and opened them there when Aiysha finally woke up! I was so excited! I love it! We then headed out to the lounge and opened a few presents there. Aiysha then made us pancakes, and we had a yummy breakfast before we headed to the beach, which was lovely but a bit crowded. Daddy went for his run, and didn't pull his calf - yippee! We then all went body boarding, which was fun!

We decided not to have lunch, but have our Christmas dinner on the top terrace at 4pm. It was fun. We then carried on opening some more presents until we settled down for the evening to watch some of our favourite shows - American Ninja Warrior!

It was such a fun, relaxing day! I loved it.

Aiysha: Thanks Santa, you're pretty cool!

We got loads of stuff from all of the family - thank you so much!

C: Merry Christmas everyone! Another beach Christmas for us!

S: You know where that's gonna get you Roxy Roo! Lovely Christmas! Merry Christmas you guys!

2014-12-24 Adventure World, Smokey's Teeth, Casey and End Of Term!

Clara: We had such an awesome time at Adventure World this year! Seems like we go every year on Christmas Eve, but this year it was perfect. We went on all the water rides we liked, had lots of snacks, and Daddy got to go on The Abyss twice! He really enjoyed that. He spent all day trying to get Hannah, Aiysha and me to go on it, but we all refused. He even tried to ask Mummy, but she got annoyed with him. Daddy even got told off for wearing a necklace on one of the slides! My favourite ride was The Tunnel of Terror - it was really scary! The weather was perfect all day, and it wasn't too hot or too cold. We got to have ice creams and donuts too, and Aiysha had a chance to do some gymnastics. Hannah, Aiysha and I went to the baby part for a while, which was fun, although it was closed for a bit because someone did a naughty accident in the baby pool. Ew!

An amazing thing happened to Smokey last week. He lost his two front teeth! Annalise said she had only ever seen this in one other rabbit, and is not common at all! Now that they have fallen out, he is so much happier! We were worried that someone had dropped him, but they hadn't. Phew!

I can't believe it is the end of Year 2! I loved it, and I am going to miss Mrs. Bruce so much - she was great, and so kind!

On the last Friday, I had to go with Daddy to all his meetings - it was pretty fun, and I got to tell him off a couple of times. We went to Leapfrogs where I met Julian's family Duyen and MJ, and we went round playing mini-golf. It was fun!

Aiysha: We met Hannah pretty much straight away, and we had such a fun time with her. It was funny when she beat Daddy at the mats race. She almost went on the Abyss with Daddy, but in the end she was smart and said no. I love going on Christmas Eve, it was not that crowded, and was so much fun! I especially like the donuts :-)

This year was great, and I am pretty happy with how things went. I was pretty sad to miss the last couple of days of school and miss the parties, but this week was fun being of school while some of my friends and Roxy were at school. A lot of me time!

Casey also came over for a sleep over, which was loads of fun! We watched Source Code, a Daddy movie, and it was actually quite good! Casey and I went shopping the next day too at Lakeside while Roxy went with Daddy to his meetings - funny! I'm glad I didn't!

Duyen and MJ came round while Daddy has his meeting with Julian, and we went into the pool - MJ is sooooo cute! She was funny!

C: I love The Tunnel of Terror too Rox!

S: Ah! The Abyss! Amazing fun! Bit lonely though :-(

2014-12-16 Awards Galore, Dance Show, Club Comp

Clara: I had my Christmas Dance, and I have been looking forward to it all year! I was in 4 dances, and I was chosen to do my special acro skills in them! It was an amazing evening, and I loved it. Right at the end, I got called out as I had won a prize for most improved acro this year - I didn't even know I was going to get it! I was so proud.

Aiysha: Clara is not the only one who can win prizes this week! I had an awards evening in Mater Dei, and it was a special evening for presenting the best students in the year. I didn't really know what I was being awarded, and I made sure I didn't tell Mum and Dad. In the end, it was Outstanding Achievements in Sport for the whole year! I couldn't believe it, and neither could Mum or Dad or Clara! I was pretty pleased.

On Saturday I had my Club Comp at High Flyers, and I came second, between Amanda and Grace, which was pretty cool. I did my back flip on the beam, but fell off on a simple jump! That was pretty disappointing. We had the awards in the evening, but in the afternoon I helped Clara get her round-of back sault, which she did! Amazing! I also managed to have an accident on my ankle, and it swelled up so badly we thought I had broken a bone!

We went back to High Flyers for the awards, and I actually won the Justis Titterton Merit Award for coming back from my ankle injury! Funny how that evening I would end up in hospital for x-rays for another ankle injury! Turns out it was okay though.

I finished a week early compared to Clara, which is nice. I had to miss the last 2 days of school because I was ill, which was disappointing as we had lots of parties.

I loved this year - it was hard, but I had a great time!

C: Well done girls - you are amazing!

S: When I was in school, I won loads of prizes...you must take after me, eh?

2014-11-30 Night of the Notables, Wanneroo Show, Tennis

Aiysha: Our gifted and talented class put on an evening event - The Night of the Notables, an evening where everyone in the class had to dress up and be someone famous and give a speech about that person. I really didn't like the idea, but ended up having a great time. I dressed up as JK Rowling - what a surprise, and Daddy filmed it without me knowing. At the end of my speech, only one person had a question, and guess who it was - DADDY! He asked 'Which Harry Potter movie did Ron get splinched?'. I ignored him, and ignored him, and ignored him. It was really funny. We all had to bake something for the audience too, and I made lightening shaped cookies. The best food was then salsa and the strawberry dipped chocolate fountain! It was amazing!

We had mango pancakes for the first time this summer, and we went in our pool - Summer is finally here!

Clara: I have been to tennis so many times over the last couple of weeks, and my backhand is going sooo well! I am so excited to show Mummy how well I can play tennis now!

Last week I went to Aaliyah's and stayed the night - we had home made pizza's, and the next day we went to Adventure World! It was so much fun, but it was a bit chilly!

We've been having dress rehearsals for our Dance Show, which is next week.

I also learned how to make bracelets like Daddy - I made one for myself, Daddy and Aiysha of all different colours.

C: Aiysha was soo poised, it was great to see. Very proud!

We've reor

S: Clara's backhand and forehand are amazing!

I finally planted our second mango tree - next to the mailbox in place of the lavender which was transplanted to a pot out to the back.

Mango season is here!

2014-11-09 Star of the Week, Sleepover, Song Fest, Talent Squad, Yanchep

Clara: I was finally Star of the Week in my class, and I felt so special. People wrote some lovely things about me, and I had lots of special jobs I had to do throughout the week. It was great.

When we took Aiysha to Talent Squad at Challenge Stadium we went to City Beach to do loads of stuff! It was great fun! We started off playing boules, which I won, then we played a couple of games of cricket, which I won, and then we went for some cake, and came back and played more cricket, which I won again! Dad and I played poison ball, which I didn't win because he was a bully...

Last week we went to Song Fest which brought a lot of schools together and we all sung our songs. It was great, as we didn't have to go to school and we all had a special shirt to wear.

Martina and Claire came over for a sleepover too - we had a night swim, pizza's.

Aiysha: Had my Talent Squad on Sunday - I had been counting down the days it was going to be on, and it was pretty long. I really enjoyed it!

C: City Beach was lovely! A bit windy, but lovely. I also found out about my job for next year - I am still at Connolly - Yippee!

S: Lovely to be at City Beach again. Clara is a great cricket player! Seriously! Love going up to Yanchep for a walk - beautiful!

2014-10-31 Halloween, Aiva's / Matilda's Party, Open Evening, Netball Windup

Clara: Georgia and Aliyah came round for Halloween! It was great fun! We headed out just as it was going dark, and we started off to the right of our house. We then went up through the jitty towards Charlie's house, and then back down Ridge Close to Mrs Nivant. It was really good fun, and we got loads of sweets too! We didn't see too many people, and really the only other group of people we saw was Harry, his brothers and his Dad! We didn't even get many visitors, which was a shame because Dad put his spooky music on and we decorated the front door and mailbox. Oh well, I had fun :-)

I was invited to Aiva's rollerskating party - it was a double sleepover at her Mums and her Dads! Matilda came the party, and the next week Matilda had her sleepover Timezone party, and Aiva went to that one aswell! Craziness gone crazy!

Open Evening was really fun too, and we spent most of the time in my classroom, played a game and went round to see all our work.

Aiysha was a bit sneaky and wrote on Mr. Christman's white board. That Aiysha!

Aiysha: See if Mr Christman notices my little note...

We had the netball windup, and we went into another stretch limo! It was really funny, and we went back to Helen's house for food, dancing and chatting. It was a nice way to end the season.

C: Great work Clara!

S: Nice sweeties for Halloween! Funny night!

2014-10-19 Daddy's Birthday in Dunsborough!

We tried to keep this trip a secret from Daddy because of his birthday, but Tracey let it slip out when she brought her mice round. Doh!

We did so much in Dunsborough, it was great, and so exciting!

We stayed in Three Bears Cottage, and it was lovely! The rooms were amazing, and it was so nice to be able to cook dinner, chat and play some games at night time. We even explored the garden, which had a brook in it which we crossed using a fallen tree!

We saw Humpback whales off the coast every day - it was quite amazing. Apparently, there were 130,000 whales migrating, even Blue Whales!

Daddy took us to Wyadup to show us where him and Uncle Dave went swimming with a pod of dolphins, and when we got there, we saw them! It was so cool. There was a surfer who suddenly saw them, and he rushed out thinking it was a shark - it was funny for us, but scary for him! Canal Rocks was also lovely, and the sea was pretty wild there.

After taking Daddy whale watching on the boat, we also went kayaking along the coast, and it was beautiful! Roxy Roo went with Daddy round the huge rock! It was a better attempt than when Daddy tried to launch off the beach and almost fell in! Roxy and Daddy did fall in first time though, which was funny.

On one of our trips out, we had a picnic on a lookout over a beach, and then we went down and did gymnastics on the beach. It was really funny, and we got some great photos. We also had a picnic looking out from Yallingup and played eye spy while we ate some bacon bread from the local bakery - it was lovely. We had a lovely lunch at Eagle Bay Wineries, and also at Clancy's Fish bar. We cooked our own dinners on the BBQ and ate around the bench.

We discovered a new game called Wildlife, where we played a DVD and had to answer questions on the video - it was really bad, but really funny at the same time. It took us 3 nights to get through just one game! Mummy and Clara won, but it was a close one!

One of the coolest things we did was do archery when we were there - funny, because we were also listening to The Hunger Games - Catching Fire audio book, which was really good. We all loved the archery!

We did some lovely walks to see the Kangaroos on the plain above out property, and Daddy went out running, even though he had an injured calf.

We did stop off at the Miami Bakery on the way down and back up, but we didn't get to have any donuts either way - what a shame!
