2014-11-09 Star of the Week, Sleepover, Song Fest, Talent Squad, Yanchep

Clara: I was finally Star of the Week in my class, and I felt so special. People wrote some lovely things about me, and I had lots of special jobs I had to do throughout the week. It was great.

When we took Aiysha to Talent Squad at Challenge Stadium we went to City Beach to do loads of stuff! It was great fun! We started off playing boules, which I won, then we played a couple of games of cricket, which I won, and then we went for some cake, and came back and played more cricket, which I won again! Dad and I played poison ball, which I didn't win because he was a bully...

Last week we went to Song Fest which brought a lot of schools together and we all sung our songs. It was great, as we didn't have to go to school and we all had a special shirt to wear.

Martina and Claire came over for a sleepover too - we had a night swim, pizza's.

Aiysha: Had my Talent Squad on Sunday - I had been counting down the days it was going to be on, and it was pretty long. I really enjoyed it!

C: City Beach was lovely! A bit windy, but lovely. I also found out about my job for next year - I am still at Connolly - Yippee!

S: Lovely to be at City Beach again. Clara is a great cricket player! Seriously! Love going up to Yanchep for a walk - beautiful!

2014-10-31 Halloween, Aiva's / Matilda's Party, Open Evening, Netball Windup

Clara: Georgia and Aliyah came round for Halloween! It was great fun! We headed out just as it was going dark, and we started off to the right of our house. We then went up through the jitty towards Charlie's house, and then back down Ridge Close to Mrs Nivant. It was really good fun, and we got loads of sweets too! We didn't see too many people, and really the only other group of people we saw was Harry, his brothers and his Dad! We didn't even get many visitors, which was a shame because Dad put his spooky music on and we decorated the front door and mailbox. Oh well, I had fun :-)

I was invited to Aiva's rollerskating party - it was a double sleepover at her Mums and her Dads! Matilda came the party, and the next week Matilda had her sleepover Timezone party, and Aiva went to that one aswell! Craziness gone crazy!

Open Evening was really fun too, and we spent most of the time in my classroom, played a game and went round to see all our work.

Aiysha was a bit sneaky and wrote on Mr. Christman's white board. That Aiysha!

Aiysha: See if Mr Christman notices my little note...

We had the netball windup, and we went into another stretch limo! It was really funny, and we went back to Helen's house for food, dancing and chatting. It was a nice way to end the season.

C: Great work Clara!

S: Nice sweeties for Halloween! Funny night!

2014-10-19 Daddy's Birthday in Dunsborough!

We tried to keep this trip a secret from Daddy because of his birthday, but Tracey let it slip out when she brought her mice round. Doh!

We did so much in Dunsborough, it was great, and so exciting!

We stayed in Three Bears Cottage, and it was lovely! The rooms were amazing, and it was so nice to be able to cook dinner, chat and play some games at night time. We even explored the garden, which had a brook in it which we crossed using a fallen tree!

We saw Humpback whales off the coast every day - it was quite amazing. Apparently, there were 130,000 whales migrating, even Blue Whales!

Daddy took us to Wyadup to show us where him and Uncle Dave went swimming with a pod of dolphins, and when we got there, we saw them! It was so cool. There was a surfer who suddenly saw them, and he rushed out thinking it was a shark - it was funny for us, but scary for him! Canal Rocks was also lovely, and the sea was pretty wild there.

After taking Daddy whale watching on the boat, we also went kayaking along the coast, and it was beautiful! Roxy Roo went with Daddy round the huge rock! It was a better attempt than when Daddy tried to launch off the beach and almost fell in! Roxy and Daddy did fall in first time though, which was funny.

On one of our trips out, we had a picnic on a lookout over a beach, and then we went down and did gymnastics on the beach. It was really funny, and we got some great photos. We also had a picnic looking out from Yallingup and played eye spy while we ate some bacon bread from the local bakery - it was lovely. We had a lovely lunch at Eagle Bay Wineries, and also at Clancy's Fish bar. We cooked our own dinners on the BBQ and ate around the bench.

We discovered a new game called Wildlife, where we played a DVD and had to answer questions on the video - it was really bad, but really funny at the same time. It took us 3 nights to get through just one game! Mummy and Clara won, but it was a close one!

One of the coolest things we did was do archery when we were there - funny, because we were also listening to The Hunger Games - Catching Fire audio book, which was really good. We all loved the archery!

We did some lovely walks to see the Kangaroos on the plain above out property, and Daddy went out running, even though he had an injured calf.

We did stop off at the Miami Bakery on the way down and back up, but we didn't get to have any donuts either way - what a shame!
