2016-04-15 Bunker Bay, New Office, Merit Certificate!
Clara: I loved being in Bunker Bay! We did so much climbing up and over rocks, and doing American Ninja Warrior on some walks! On one walk, we actually spotted a shark in the shallow beach area - that was amazing! Tennis on the last day was great! It was on astroturf, and we did a final rally of over 20 shots!
Room tidy! I love tidying my room! I seem to do it a lot quicker than Aiysha - I mean by days!
I got a merit certificate too at the final assembly - wahoo!
Aiysha: I loved going to the gym at Bunker Bay, and Clara and I had some funny sleepovers watching Pretty Little Liars! Daddy tried to gate crash our evenings, but we put up with him. We had some amazing views on our walks, and got some great pictures!
Thanks Watsons for letting us stay there! It was amazing!
Shame I had to clean my room when I got home :-(
C: I loved Bunker Bay - it had some amazing places to visit, and Pullman Resort was not bad at all!
Yummy Nudie orange juice, croissants and baguettes! We tended to go out for lunches, but dinners we made ourselves - we're a very resourceful bunch!
S: We have moved into yet another office - our 3rd office in 6 months for Burning Fruit, and it is the best in ECUBIC! It use to be a boardroom, and we are so lucky that it was made available.
Bunker Bay was soooo much fun! We went on so many adventures, and even getting a flat tyre in Bunbury was an adventure! Always love Miami Bakehouse...
2016-04-10 Interschool Carnival, Food Festival, Climbing, Dance Night, and BF in Madurah!
Clara: Wow, I never thought I would have bounced back like I did in the interschool carnivals! Last year I didn't win any events, and came second for all of them. This year in the long throw, I came first by a long way, and I also won the long jump. Daddy and I did a lot of training for the sprints, and I was so happy to win my sprint against the girls who beat me last year!
We did our assembly, and it was all about bouncing back! Our theme in the assembly was Harry Potter, and how Joanne bounced back from being turned down 11 times!
For my treat, I chose to go to The Hangout climbing centre - it was really good, and it was really hard! We managed to get up to level 16 - I had trouble on the orange ones, and Aiysha and Daddy finally managed to get up the orange run after several attempts. I can't wait to go there again!
I was only one of 25 performers at the Gail Meade dance night, and I did an acro number that Aiysha helped me perform to Counting Stars. I was so proud of myself, and I felt brave that I did the best acro moves on the night!
Aiysha: I am allowed to be back at gym, but only a few routines, and not all of them.
We had a Westcoasters parents vs players night - it was so much fun playing against Dad. At one point, we were both Centers marking each other! I think we matched each other pretty well.
We went out to the food festival in town - it was meant to be a noodle festival, but seemed to have all sorts of BBQ and noodles. Driving in we saw so much lightening, but we luckily didn't have any rain until half way through the festival, and then it absolutely poured down! It was so funny, and at one point we lost Daddy! Clara was really sad, but we soon found him when he rang us in the rain! We ran back to our car, and went home.
It was sooo much fun, and a great adventure!
Great dance Rox! You did so well!
C: While they went climbing, I did DIY! Arthur would be proud!
Stormy and windy! Nice change, but hope it brightens up for our trip to Bunker Bay!
Well done Clara in your dance and your athletics - we are sooo proud of you!
S: Aiysha was belaying me on the climbing wall for the first time! It was so nice to be able to climb again! I just wish my shoes fit!
The food festival was fun - chicken wings, satays, ribs, noodles, sliders - amazing!
Amazing performance Rocky Roo! Shame I got a speeding ticket :-(
Great fun at Julian's place in Mandurah - we had breakfast watching the dolphins and canoed to lunch! Amanzing!
2016-03-25 Bye Israel, Gym Comp, Rain, Wayne's Party!
Aiysha: It's raining! Apparently we're going to get lots of rain tonight! Wahoo!
I went to Hilary's with Kiera and Martina last night, which was really fun after we had a sleepover!
I had my first gym comp last weekend, and I only competed bars and beam. I did a pretty good bar routine, and I was disappointed I fell off my beam, otherwise I would have gotten a great score! I came 2nd on bars, and joint 3rd on beam! I was really pleased, but sad as I will need to give up for a while do rest my back. I hope I don't have to give up netball...lucky I have Jo the physio to help me!
Clara: I've had two sleepovers in two weeks! Phew, I'm glad for a rest now!
It has been sooooo dry here in Perth that the kangaroos are now jumping and feeding right on the lake - it is amazing! Daddy and I planned to go down tonight, but it is raining! I can't believe it! We'll have to see how it goes tomorrow.
Went to Joondalup Festival last weekend - a little bit disappointing, but I won a dolphin and made myself a bunny - Fin and Fiery (because he is red, and his best friend will be Smokey!) are their names.
Last game of netball last week - we didn't do too well, but I can't wait to start the season!
C: Not much happening at Joondalup festival, but lovely food! Indian and Greek! Painting!
Paishy did soooo well at the comp - well done!
Lovely dinner at Wayne's - the girls even went in the pool and played Kerbie! Brrrr!
S: Yummy food at the festival. Painting - yay.
Well done Paish, can't wait till your back recovers!
Last tennis game with Israel :-( We've both really improved our games since we started playing, I'm going to miss Sunday morning games :-( Good luck Israel, keep in touch, and let me know when you are around!
2016-03-19 Big Waves, Interschool, Cross Country and Sleepovers!
Clara: I've had two sleepovers in two weeks! One was Georgia's sleepover, and this week was Ella's! Both were loads of fun, but so tiring!
Daddy and I went out for a night time walk on our own, and was fun - we went a different way, and walked towards Neil Hawkins Park - it was funny!
Our last Bouncer netball games - we won last week, but lost this week. Didn't matter too much though - it was good practice playing older kids, and kept our skills up.
Daddy and I went to the beach last week at sunset, and it was fun! I did loads of gymnastics, and we both got wiped out by some big waves!
Aiysha: My first gym comp is this weekend, but I may have to stop gym because of my back. I will be seeing a specialist on Monday at Challenge Stadium, and she will say how much exercise I can actually do.
I had interschool swimming this week - I did okay, but the best result was 2nd in the freestyle relay. I raced Division 1 which was cool, so I did okay.
We had inter-house last week, and I came fifth which I was really proud of. I also got into inter-school cross country.
C: I finally decided on our kitchen guy! Phew! That was hard?! Weather is turning a bit chilly these day - in the high 20s!
S: Are you sure? I may join a tennis club soon! Was asked by Jack who plays at Ocean Ridge Tennis Club. Tempting!
New herbs - see if they grow!
