2017-09-23 Faction Carnival, End of Term!

Clara: We had our faction carnival in week 9, and it was an amazing day! The sun was beautiful, and it must have been one of the best days ever! I was so looking forward to it, and it was amazing! I managed to get Champion Girl for the seond year running, came first in my race, long jump and long throw, and we came first in the year 5 relay and the grand relay! Daddy made a video, and hope he can upload it here!

Aiysha was there to help too! She was great, and hugged me after every race!

I had the lapathon the previous week - wow it was hot!

Aiysha: Clara did so well! I was so proud of her!

I went to a 1920's party, and spent ages looking for outfits. In the end, I got the right combination I think!

I've been to the Western Force trials, and have scored a try in each session - I hope I get in, as we will be going on tour in December! Either way, it has been a great experience!

C: Rosy, you are amazing!

S: Well done Rox, so proud of you. Your years training has paid off big time! Amazing effort!

2017-09-08 Lapathon, Presentation and Sun!

Clara: I managed to do 35 laps for the lapathon! It was a hot day, so I drenched myself in water pretty much every lap!

I did my presentation on Louis Pasteur, and included a quiz, some jokes, and gave out chocolates to people who answered my questions right - it was fun. I got top marks for it too! I was so proud as I worked really hard on it.

Aiysha: 95% on maths test - I beat Sean!

I had a 1920's party at Casey's, and managed to get an awesome outfit!

C: Well done Rox, and you looked amazing Paish!

S: Unrecognisable! Rox, you did well on such a hot day!

2017-09-03 Fathers Day, Netball Finals, Cadets & Merit Certificate!

Aiysha: I got into Cadets! I am so happy! I was only a reserve a few weeks ago and was called in to trial, but in the end I must have done well in the trials! This means my netball season continues until the tournament just after school holidays!

Unfortunately, we lost our semi-final against Ulla Ulla, by 6 in the end. We lost it again in one quarter, and it was too much to ask to come back by 11 in the last quarter. It was a shame, as I think we could have done it.

I went to play a bit of rugby league this week - they tackle so high!

Clara: I was going to play in finals for U12 this week, but in the end I was just too young. Ah well. In the end they lost, but they get another chance next week.

I got a merit certificate this week in assembly - Mummy and Daddy could not come along to see, but that is okay. The weather was so bad that the Lapathon was postponed until this next week. Phew!

We celebrated Smokey's birthday on the same day as Fathers Day - I made him a vege-cake - he loved it!

C: My athletics carnival was NOT cancelled - it was a pretty horrid day! Lucky we were only out for an hour or so with Kindys!

S: Fathers Day was funny - I opened some pretty cheeky cards and presents to start with (hmmm, not sure if they were funny though...), then we went on a BBQ hunt around Quinns Rocks, but everywhere was so busy! In the end we went up to Yanchep next to Gloucester House, and it was great - Roxy and Paish cooked, we ate loads, and then had a cricket game with some boys! Thanks guys! It was cool day! Long may it continue!

Finally, the sun! Well done Paish getting into Cadets! It's going to be an awesome weekend!

2017-08-28 Rugby, Final Week Of Netball and Naplan!

Clara: I was sooo happy with my Naplan results! I managed to get 3 orchestras (Band 9) and 2 Band 8s! I was really nervous, but really pleased.

We had our last netball game of the season on Saturday again Marmion - it was a tough game, and we were losing by a little. At half-time though, I was asked to go and play up for the U12's! I said yes, but was pretty upset as I wanted to stay with my team and support them. The U12s had to win to get to the playoffs, and I played GS and GA, and managed to shoot some great goals to help them win it! In the end, I was pretty pleased. Mummy then got a call on Sunday asking if I could play in the playoffs for the same team! Wow! That made me pretty happy.

We had our netball windup at Funtastic, which was okay, but a bit young for our team. Kathy gave us all a teddy bear and a special note, and made a nice speech about us.

When we went to the state netball centre on Sunday, we had a nice coffee in Leederville, and then saw Aaliyah at the game! It was fun, and she stayed with us and played in the park before we drove her home.

Aiysha: On Saturday morning Daddy and I went to watch the girls play rugby - I really wanted to play, but we agreed that it was not fair on my netball team. In the end, they lost badly as they didn't stick to Dad's strategy. What a shame. I then had my final netball game against Saints, the top team. We had to win to make the play-offs, and we did! i played WA / GA, and stayed on the whole game! It was tiring, but great! We finally played well and won!

On Sunday we went to see the Warriors play at the state netball centre, and that was really interesting!

Last week we watched Australia get smashed by NZ - this week they did better, and only lost in the last minute. They should have won!

C: What a game by Paish and Clara! Well done! Awesome Naplan result too!

S: Naplan - takes after her Dad!

2017-08-17 One of the best weeks EVER! Talent Show, Interschool Cross Country, One Big Voice!

Clara: Wow, I just had one of the best weeks I ever had! Firstly, I won the Interschool Cross Country against 5 other schools! It was a longer distance than normal, but I managed to hold on to my lead from quite early on. I was pretty relieved about winning, and it was pretty exhausting!

Daddy helped me a lot on my dance for Edgewater Talent Quest, and it paid off! I had to change a couple of things, such as the standing back sault, but on the day I managed to get everything right! I danced to Hall of Fame by The Script, and it worked out really well. I even got 4 10/10 scores from the judges - it was fun!

We drew our netball against Everlast Flames 29-29, and I may have been TACT identified!

One Big Voice was even more amazing than last year! Only Mummy could go as Daddy and Paish went to rugby. It was pouring with rain for them. Mummy and Aiva's Dad Matt had a funny time though.

Aiysha: Rugby last home game - beat Bayswater, lost others, but loved tackling, pouring with rain!

Nandos after with Dad! It was so much fun, and I can't wait to play more!

C: One Big Voice was amazing!

S: Rugby was great fun to watch, but really cold!

2017-08-13 Movie Time, Wet 'n' Wild Netball

Aiysha: We drew 29-29 to Woola Woola, and it was a really great game! We came back from behind, and we were two ahead in the last 2 minutes, but some strange decisions caused us to lose possession and draw the game. Fair result though, and at least we didn't lose! We still have a chance to get into the playoffs! I really enjoyed my time at WA.

We had our first training for cadets, and I may be playing mid-court - hope so!

Had a party on Friday night - not many dramas, but it was fun.

School photos are out...great...

Clara: We lost badly to Hammersley today which was such a shame after we beat them convincingly last time. They did deserve to win though.

Gearing up for my Interschool cross country this week! I can't wait!

On Saturday we went to see War of the Planet of the Apes - it was a really good film, and we all really enjoyed it!

Paish was late out from KMart, and Mummy and Daddy were frantic! Luckily she was just tidying up lay-by!

C: I wish Summer would come soon! It's freezing!

S: Don't do that again Paish!

2017-08-06 Avon Descent! Inter-Faction Cross Country! Burning Fruit Win Again!

Clara: I was so nervous about the inter-faction cross country, but I managed to win it! I was so relieved, and I also got a great time too! It even beat the boys time up to the day, which was cool, but the boys set an even better time on the day. I was happy.

We went to watch the Avon Descent while Aiysha went to work, and it was really fun! We got there, and the only way we could get to Bells Rapids was to take a rickety old bus (just happen to be Belridge Bus Company), and it shuttled us to the rapids. We made our sandwiches by the river as we played sweet and sour with the speedboats and the canoeists. It was really funny. We walked across the bridge, went on the swing and did some rock climbing.

I had a temperature that I perhaps caught off Aiysha - just a shame it happened at the weekend. I ended up missing netball, even though we won, but did go down and watch.

I love going to Yelo after PEAC, and sitting on the bench watching the sea - even though it can be a bit cold!

Aiysha: I also had a couple of days off school as I had a temperature. I did recover enough to play netball though. We lost to Paua Rose which was a shame - I felt we could have won it.

C: I was hoping to see some competitors cap-size, and they did! It was pretty exciting!

S: I may compete in the Descent one day. Those speed boats look fun! We won another award at the Joondalup Business Association - Best Customer Service! Wahoo!

2017-07-25 Netball Tournament - Daddy Coaching!

Clara: Daddy volunteered to coach our netball team for a netball tournament on Sunday, and it was really fun. He planned it all out, but on the day it was pouring with rain!

We played Paua Rose, but we started really slow, and were around 8 points down at half time. We managed to get back to 10-10.

The other games went really well, and we managed to beat every other team.

The rain was unbelievable though!

Aiysha: I'm glad I didn't have to stand in the rain!

C: Brrrr!

S: The girls did so well considering the rain - it was fun coaching!

2017-07-16 School Holidays, Dance Troupe, Lions & NZ!

Aiysha: I have been looking forward to these school holidays for aeeeeges! (I'll update with more picture when I give them to Dad!)

The Lions tour has been amazing! Dad and I watched the first two games while I was in Australia, and I saw the third one when I was in NZ!

Before I went on the ski trip, Daddy and I went to see Wonder Woman - it was a lot better than I expected. Mummy and Rox went to see Despicable Me, and they sat too close to the screen and felt ill! Funny!

The ski trip to NZ was amazing! Here are just a few pictures! I managed to get into the 50kms, and not stack it. Next time I go with Dad I'll be able to keep up, so long as he doesn't break his ribs!

Dad had to watch the last test in a pub, and we swapped pictures of where we were - it was fun. It was the most amazing game in the end though! It was so exciting!

Netball has been sooo wet!

Clara: I love the school holidays!

I loved my dance troupe again this year! We managed to pick up a first place and second place, but it was really fun!

While Aiysha was on her ski trip, Daddy and I started practicing my talent show dance. In the end we chose Hall of Fame by The Script, but it wasn't easy. It was funny Daddy doing the choreography, but it seems to be going well when I finally understand what he is on about!

We also went to a shoe exhibition in Northbridge - oh my gosh! It started off pretty boring, but one section was really interesting - pictures with contravertial quotes. We then went for dinner, which was yummy.

C: Roxy's Shout dance was amazing! The best ever! We can't stop watching it!

S: Watch out you choreographers out there! I'm coming! Also went to the Youth Summit 2017 which was amazing to see kids creating businesses!
