S: Well, I didn't listen to my physic, did I? Went to see Justin who really helped me by doing some needling in my achilles and giving me some exercises to do, but after listening to Born To Run, I was determined to start a new journey. I persuaded Rox to join me on my first barefoot run challenge of 6km, and we both finished it! It was amazing - and we both could not believe we just did it! When I went back to see Justin, he was pretty impressed, and is also a believer, but asked us to taper it back a little, perhaps 3km every other day and work up from there. He was very encouraging though.
Set off on Thursday to Lancelin with Dance and Nick - very funny. Went out on the boat in the afternoon to try and catch some crayfish, but only caught a couple of undersized ones and a seal came round to investigate. It was pretty rough out there too, so glad I took my sea sick tablets. We went to the pub for some surprisingly good food and drink, and headed back to their place after I set my swag up. We played guitar and saxophone which was really funny. The swag was a pretty good sleep too, which was surprising. Waking up right next to the beach was lovely!
We then set off to Jurien Bay on Friday after a morning in the boat - again catching very little, but it was lovely being out there. Saw some dolphins and seals too! We then headed up to Jurien Bay, met David at the house, did some shopping, and walked to the pub for dinner - pizzas, and then headed back to the house where we sat out chatting.
On Saturday we headed out at 6am on the boat and they dropped me off on the island to get some drone footage, and when I walked round the small island I saw a seal! I decided to get my go-pro out and have a swim, and he came and swam with me! It was such an amazing experience, and I got it all on film! Got some awesome drone footage too. They finally managed to catch some good sized crayfish which Danch cooked up for dinner with some steaks which was amazing.
Tried to have a windsurf in the afternoon, but way too light. In the evening we listened to some old classic tunes and played guitar, and watched the drone footage on the TV which was pretty cool.
Clara: Wow, barefoot running is amazing! After our first couple of runs, it feels great and I don't feel my knees at all. I can't wait to see where this goes, and can't wait to listen to the book when we go on holiday!
Paish: Woking like crazy, and I'm just 3 weeks behind on my extra study unit - oh dear! Touch is so much fun at the moment though, and playing with Rox is great.
C: So close to finishing - I can't wait! Only the excursions to go!
