2021-06-07 TACT Weekend Is Here!

 

Wow! What a weekend! I love my team so much with DJ Deb and Holly. It was the coolest team! We started off the weekend all excited, we were so pumped! On Saturday we played Southern Districts, which we beat easily. We then versed Perth which we lost to by 2. Deb put me into WD which was controversial, but she said I was great at hunting for the ball and reading the play. It was a shame we lost, but we learnt a lot and it gave us more fuel to play better. Our final game was against Mandurah which we beat.  

We then found out that Perth lost to Southern Districts! That was a huge mistake as they could have kicked us out of the grand final. That night we went out to Pappagllos with the Russo’s which was so fun! On Sunday, we had to win all our games. We versed Kalamunda who was 2^nd on the ladder, we kept it calm and won by quite a lot. I played a lot of C and WD a few times. We had an easier game against Rockingham, then it was the big game against freo. They had lost Maya and Ava to injury.   

We had a solid warm-up with DJ deb and we were pumped. We played an awesome game, the best we have ever played as a team, and probably the best I have ever played as well. We ended up winning by 8, and we started to believe we could actually win this! On Monday we had 1 game against our 2^nd Wanneroo team, and Perth and Freo had to play each other to see who would make the grand final. Freo won by 2, so we would verse them again in the grand final. I got awarded player of the tournament before the grand final, I got a gold coin, and I was so grateful and happy! It was a nerve-racking game, they had the crowd, but our parents were so loud! They got a few runs, but we had the game in control.  

It was an amazing game, everyone played so well, we ended up winning by 8! Our team spirit was amazing, I loved everyone so much! Go Wannaz!!!
