2022-05-29 Round 2 vs Wanneroo, Hammers 4 vs Top, Force beat Hurricanes / Fever Lost to Firebirds, Jenna's Broken Ankle

Paish: It was a very sad week as on Tuesday during a drill Jenna got hit in the leg by Chelsea and it broke her ankle. She was so upset and we were playing so well together! I am absolutely gutted, and so is Dad. I really hope she recovers quickly! I will miss playing with her!

It was a very frustrating game against Wanneroo, as I really wanted to win it. They did play well and we put up a great fight. But we didn't get enough ball in the backs, and we knew we could win it. I did score a 60m try though which was one of my best tries ever! I was very proud.

Dad, Jenna and I went out to watch the Force - we couldn't get into dumplings, so we went to Mings BBQ and had duck, pork, fried rice, noodles and dumplings - yummy! It was freezing watching the Force against the Hurricanes, and they had to win in order to still be in the hunt for finals. I predicted we would lose by 15, Jenna by 1, and Dad said win by 5. We were 2 down with 5 minutes to go, and we managed to score an amazing try and convert! Dad won the bet!

Rox: We played the top side this week (Whitfords Warriors), and I played 3 quarters in C. We were 4 down going into the final quarter, and we won it by 2! It was a really exciting game, and a shame Paish and Dad could not watch it.

We had States training with Kate's Mum today - it was really fun! Then we had the TACT picnic - we had some amazing sausage rolls!

On Friday after training we stayed and watched all the netball at Gold Netball Centre - it was fun, and Dad stayed with us and so did Emily! We got Boulevard pizzas mid-way through and they were yum!

S: I was so sad about Jenna's ankle, and she almost made me cry at the game talking about her plans with her and Paish this season. She will be sorely missed by everyone, and we are so gutted.

Our 10s played Bayswater and put up a really good fight against some experienced players, and our 15s did some great play, but in the end we didn't win either. What a try by Paish though!

We watched Don't Look Up, and saw Hutchie's name in the credits! Cool!
