2025-10-05 to 2025-10-08 Bremer Bay!

2025-10-05 Sunday

S: I had no idea where we were going, and secondly whether Blue Bau was coming with us! Of course she was! Then as we got coffee at Wisteria, Moomis told me we were going to Bremer Bay! Wow! I was so excited! I was hanging out for a long drive somewhere, and really really wanted to see whales! So cool!

We drove down at around 11am on Sunday, and it was such a pretty drive. Not our normal drive down south, but we had to take a different route towards Esperance, then to Albany, then to Bremer Bay. We arrived just as the sun was setting at around 6.30, but we stopped in a couple of places - a bakery where we had an amazing quiche and toastie, and then to get some snakkie whakkies! It was so much fun going on a road trip again, I've really missed it.

Our place was amazing! We were literally overlooking the sea at Short Beach! We unpacked quickly, then walked down to our beach. Squeaky Sand! It was amazing! We let Bau off the lead, and we walked in the moonlight and took some awesome pics!

We had Ken Hom prawns, cheesecake, and then played Scrabble. It was so relaxing.

Well done Kroubs, very very cool plan! I had no idea.

C: Our place is amazing!

2025-10-06 Monday

On Monday, we started with a walk on our beach with a drone shot of Moomy walking down, then we headed to Point Henry and we saw some seals, and a glimpse of a whale way out.

Then we went to Blossoms Beach where we drove onto the beach for a walk. It was so cool. Then Native Dog Beach where we parked up top, walked, then took another drone shot round the corner of the next beach as it was pretty rough. Then drove round to Bremer Bay after coffee and cake at the Orca's coffee van. It was such an amazing beach, and we walked quite a way then headed back. I attempted a wing foil, but there was no wind - boo! We then drove to Gordon's Inlet which was very calm, and it took us forever to go back along the 4WD back home.

What a day! We saw kangaroos, bull ants, strange birds, lizards, seals, whales (we think!), and it was sunny!

2025-10-07 Tuesday

We woke up trying to spot whales from our bed using the binoculars - very fun way to start the day.

A lot of 4-wheel driving today! We started the day going to the other side of Bremer Bay again - the only way to get there is by 4WD. The wind was offshore, but was perfect, and I spent 1-2 hours on my foil, it was so much fun, and I was the only one out there! Amazing.

The only shop open was the petrol station, and before we went to Point Ann, we got some tinned tuna and some chippies to dip in, and that was our lunch. It took a long time to get to Point Ann, and we got there just before sunset, so we only had 30 minutes to spot whales - we did not, unsurprisingly. The Claire The Demon Driver drove us back at breakneck speed. Hoon!

We wanted to go out to dinner, but the only restaurant closed 30 minutes before it should have done - they must have seen us and shut the doors. They told us the pub served food - sure, sure. They did, but stopped serving an hour ago. We went home, and I made a rice, butter, salt and herb fried rice for dinner, and we watched Steve. It turned out okay in the end, and pretty funny. Make sure we bring our own food next time!

We saw loads of wildlife on our drive too, which was so cool.

2025-10-08 Wednesday - Home!

Long drive back today! We didn't spot whales waking up today, we packed up, and we set off. Rox helped out a homeless man while we were one our way back - so sweet! I think we could have spent more time down there - it was spectacular. Shame we didn't see any whales, so we're going to have to go down again.

2025-10-04 My Biffday! Aus vs NZ Bledisloe! My i20 Hit and Run :-( Jigsaw Finally Done, Fairy Lights!

S: I had an awesome birthday on Friday - thanks guys! It started off with a surprise breakfast at Oceans 27 in Alkimos, then we had a walk along Yanchep before we headed home and I went for a foil in the afternoon at Lucky Bay - crazy westerlies so the tide was up and we were going along the shore - not too many people out. We were suppose to go to a Mango Tree Farm, but we decided to do that tomorrow morning.

The girls then took me out to dinner at Sense of Siam, a new cute Thai restaurant in Joondalup which was amazing! I loved it! We then headed home after picking up some pudding, then it was Jigsaw time - we finally finished it! Wow that was a hard one!

On Saturday we went to the Mango Tree Farm in Midland, and Tony the owner spent so much time with us - and we worked out why our existing one did not grow too! We bought another mango tree, and we are going to transplant my old ones. We stopped off at Madeley Pots, but it started raining, so we headed home to have lunch and get ready for the rugby!

The atmosphere was so cool, and Paish and I were very excited. Rox wasn't so well, but managed to come along. The game started off so well, but once again the referee made some strange calls that ruined the game. We lost just, but we really wanted a win. We went to an Italian after in Karinyup, which was so nice, then home.

C: Happy birthday Doody! The big surprise is yet to come!

Paish sent us some photos of her car that had been hit, but no idea how! She then told a friend about it, and the friend looked at her windscreen and found a business card of a lady who witnessed it - it was a Transperth Bus who did not stop! I've been on the hunt ever since - I phoned Charlotte the witness, RAC, the police, and Dept. Transport. DoT didn't really acknowledge it was illegal which was annoying, but they did look at CCTV, and are taking responsibility - phew!

In other more upbeat news, I put loads of fairy lights in the back verandah, and they look great!

Paish: Happy Birthday Dad!

I was so sad when I saw my car! I was so lucky my rugby friend found her business card! Mummy is on the rampage!

I loved going to the rugby - it was such a shame it rained the whole game - I thought we had a real chance! I did love the Italian though!

Another jigsaw bites the dust - I love them, but we're running out!

Rox: I was not well, but it was fun! Happy Birthday Dad!

2025-09-30 End of Term Dumplings from Paish! First Real Foil, Arcane Final Episodes, Finally! Our Shed! Rox Dad Date!

Paish: I got a secret - I joined EatClub, and had a cool special offer, so I took the fam out to dumplings! It was yummy, and Daddy bought us Yochi! Yay!

Rox tried to set me up with one of her friends - funny!

Rox: I've had a tough assignment all week - finally finished it and handed it in yesterday!

The Tik Toks I did for Aussie Bloke have done pretty well so far! I reckon we could do some really viral ones though! Fun stuff!

Dad and I went to Siena's for dinner! It was so yum! Dad has his seafood one and I had my creamy chicken, and we shared a pizza!

C: Yay, end of term! So excited to have some time off!

Wow, the shed is so hard! It's all the trees, bushes and trumpet vines that are so hard to get rid of! We never thought it would have been this hard.

S: First amazing session on the river on Friday afternoon - 2 hours using my new foil. Almost gybing, but not quite, but close!

OMG - the greenery around the sheds is ridiculous! We're definitely going to have the biggest verge collection ever!
