2008-11-10 Parties, Halloween and Toodyay!

Aiysha:
What a busy 3 weeks we've had!

I was so excited about Halloween that I told all my friends at school that Daddy was taking us round, and that they should come along. Maybe I was a little too excited, as quite a few people don't actually live near us. I did promise Thomas though, and Mummy said that is probably best that he comes along, and everyone else on Ridge Close. I was happy with that. When Daddy came home on Friday, Luke and Thomas were already at our place, and it was really exciting! We decided to go and collect everyone at about 6, so we went to collect Callum, Tristan and Mary, and Ellis who didn't go camping because he wanted to come with us. We started at the bottom of Ridge Close, and worked up the left hand side all the way round, and there were so many more people this year giving out sweets! Even people who were not in left bags for us to share around! We had so many sweets by the end of the night, and it was so much fun!

Last weekend I had 3 parties on Saturday! First, I went to Tristan's party at Dark Light Laser - I came 11th, which was better that last which is what I came last time. I really enjoyed it. After that, Mum drove me to Tikea's party where all the men dressed up like girls. It was funny, and there were lots of kangaroos around. We played a few games, which was nice. I came back from that quite tired. Mummy went out to her work for some drinks, and we stayed at home and watched a bit of TV waiting for the next party to start which was at Wayne's place, Ellis' grandparents. It started at 6pm, and we went there with our bottle of wine, and there were quite a few people there already. I played with Ellis and his friends, and spent some time on the exercise bikes. Mummy came along later, and then took Clogger away for bed. I got to stay for a while, even until after Daddy left and Mummy came back to talk to people. I think I must have stayed up until 9pm! How exciting!

This weekend, Mummy booked us to go away to Toodyay! It was such a funny trip! Even though we only went away for one night, it felt like a lot longer. We set off after my gymnastics, and I ate my lunch in the car. We stopped off to taste some beautiful fresh orange juice, and had an ice cream too right next to the place we went camping "Peace Be Still"! We stayed on a 44-acre farm with Roger and Margaret, and we had a beautiful view of the countryside! We could see cows and alpaca on the hillside. Once we unpacked and a had a drink, Roger took us to feed the cows, which was really funny - they ran to their food. Mishka was their cat, and we also fed the crows too! We went for a walk before dinner to the river, and we found loads of crystals, the biggest ant we have ever seen (Daddy said over 1 inch long!), and a rams head in a tree! We had a lovely barbecue for dinner, and played Uno. Rocker was so excited that I had to stay in bed with her, and pat her until she slept. I also fell asleep in the bottom bunk, and I really wanted to sleep on the top bunk! Mummy and Daddy stayed up talking to Roger, and to play Scrabble. Daddy kept on telling me on Sunday not to remind Mummy that she lost by over 100 points, as he said she gets really upset. I kept on telling Daddy that Mummy could hear him, and she was getting upset.

On Sunday, Mummy and Daddy were so tired because they said Clogger was up until 4.30am. Daddy was really tired, and kept on going to sleep when I asked him questions! Naughty Daddy! When everyone finally got up, we had some cereal, juice, and some toast. Roger made us a cooked breakfast with eggs, which was nice. We went for a walk to a different part of the river where we could paddle. That was fun. We also tried to look for gold. We then gave Roger a lift to his friends, and we left to find some lunch near Toodyay. We stopped for a snack in Toodyay, and went to Ye Olde Sweet Shop, which was ok, but didn't have many nice sweets. The dinosaur place we wanted to go to for lunch was closed, so Mummy found a winery, and it was lovely! We had potatoes and lovely steak! Me and Rocker ran around inside, which sounded like a storm. It was called Hot Rocks, and all our food came on really hot slabs of rocks!

We left there, and started to head home. We sort of got lost, and Mummy spotted a reservoir that we could go and swim in. We found it, and it was brilliant! I swam out to the platform with Daddy, using my backstroke and crawl, and Clogger stayed by the shore. I dived off the platform loads, and it was very funny. Clogger loved the beach, and wanted to go deeper. Mummy had to rescue her once with Daddy when she was too deep, but otherwise it was excellent fun! She was really brave when that happened, and didn't cry at all and wanted to play more!

After that, we got some ice creams, and coffee. We then set off home at about 4.30, and got home at 5.45 for some dinner and TV. We all got to be early, and we were all sooo tired. I was a little scared when Daddy began to drive up the river, but Mummy knows more about why we did that...

Clara: I must remember to stay within my depth. It was such an exciting trip, I just wanted to stay awake the whole time! I loved the cows, I kept on calling for the cat, saying 'Meow", and was so smiley! I even stayed up to watch a little Wallace and Grommit, a film Aiya was scared of! I was not scared of it.

C: What a tiring trip! Clogger was awful on Saturday night, but other than that, we had a really fun trip! On the way home, we went up a road called Mayo Road, which I thought was a shortcut to the highway, but it ended up driving up what looked like a river - it had lots of big rocks, and rivulets. I said we should have turned round, and Aiysha was scared, but Daddy just kept going, and after some hairy moments, we eventually made it to the road, and I was so relieved. Maybe we need a 4-wheel drive in future?

S: I had some fun driving up the river! Well done Mummy! Lovely time away, and very disappointing having to come home so early. Seemed to last a long time!

2008-10-28 Daddy's Birthday, and so much more!

Aiysha:
I was so excited about Daddy's birthday! His birthday was on a
Friday, and he went to work, but we did so much before he home! We
blew up balloons, got all his presents out, and made sure that his cake
was ready. We got Daddy's cake from Sugar and Spice in Joondalup, and it
was amazing! It had so much chocolate on it, and it was so yummy! We
then opened all his presents, and Cloggy helped too. All of them were
pretty funny, and the cards made him laugh, especially Auntie Lizzies!

We went to the Discovery Centre Aquarium, and it was really interesting!
Even Clogger loved it - she ran around looking at all the different fish
- she said fish so many times it was funny! Afterwards, we went to have
some lunch on some grass at Hillary's, and Daddy and I did hand stands,
and we also looked for crabs in the rocks - we saw one huge crab! On
Saturday night, we went to Leapfrog to play mini-golf and have some
pizzas! I chose to do that instead of going to the Royal Show. Mummy
said I could choose, and it didn't matter which one we did, but we could
not do both because of Clogger. I understood, and was so excited about
going to Leapfrog. I didn't win the golf, as I kept hitting it too hard,
and I loved the pizzas! They were the best!

On Sunday, Mummy was not too well, so Daddy took me and Clogger out to
Trigg. It was really funny. We went to the park for a while and played
tig with the ball - loads of other kids joined in, and one girl just
kept on throwing it really hard at Daddy. Clogger, Daddy and I then went
to the grass where we did some running races ready for my Interschool
Carnival. It was quite hard, and Daddy let me choose what races we did.
It was funny, as Clogger tried to race too, but she just isn't as fast
as me! We then walked up to get an ice cream, but the shop was shut, so
Daddy asked me if we should go to Karrinyup, or Hillarys - of course I
said Hillary's, silly boy. We went to the shop near the slides, and I
got a lolly, Cloggy got a tub which she ate herself, and Daddy had a
coffee. We then went on the beach, and played on the swings, and the
climbing frame.

I had my Interschool Carnival, and it was really exciting. Mummy, Daddy
and Clogger all came to watch me run. I was one of the first races. It
was a really close race, and I came second. I was a little disappointed,
but I know for next year I can run a lot faster. Mummy and Daddy were so
proud of me though, and we all said next year we will try even harder.
It was a fun day though, and I'm so glad that I took part. Martina also
came second in her race.

Joseph had his 7th birthday party and it was at Leapfrog! Wow, only a
couple of weeks after we went for Daddy's birthday! Nick came and picked
me up with Joseph, and we all went together. I had such a great time,
and we got back after dark, so that was exciting! I was the only girl
who went - I was so proud to have a friend like Joseph. He's a really
nice boy.

On Sunday, Lauren invited me to Joondalup Arena. It was so much fun. We
went round the river so many times, but it was pretty crowded on the
slide, and we only went on it a couple of times. I'm so lucky having a
friend like Lauren.

Mummy and Daddy bought a new pool cover, so that means our pool will be
even warmer! They are talking about getting a roller, as the new cover
is much heavier than the old one. I wonder what they will do? Oooooh,
exciting stuff!

My third tooth fell out this week, only a couple of weeks after my
second! It is from my bottom row at the front, and Mummy pulled it just
like the second. The tooth fairy floated my coins in a new vase - it
looked so nice I took it to news! The night before, Daddy almost lost it
by washing up the cup it was in! Luckily he found it in the sink - I was
a little upset, even though he said sorry a lot.

Edgewater Primary celebrated its 25th Anniversary on Friday, and it
rained so much! It seemed to clear up a little after the morning, but it
could have been a lot better if it was sunny. I did my assembly which
was fun, and we did special activities all day. When Daddy came home,
Mummy told him that Joseph was going to come with us when we went back
to the school in the evening, which was fine! We went straight away,
even though it was raining a little, and picked Joseph up. He is a funny
boy, and we had lots of fun. We looked in the classrooms which had
displays, we went to the assembly hall where there was a band, and we
went to the games room where we played computer games. Daddy took us to
the oval to eat our pizzas in the dark, which was so much fun, and we
also got some lolly bags too! It was really good fun, and we got back so
late!

Hannah came round to our house, and Mummy gave her the choice of what
she wanted to do, so she chose Hillary's. I didn't mind, even though I
really really wanted to go to Beaty Park. We had a nice time, but Hannah
did complain about a few things, and could not climb up the rope tower.
I tried to help Mummy a lot, as she struggled with looking after us and
carrying all our things. Hannah did not carry very much, and did not say
thank you when we dropped her off. I was a little sad for Mummy about
this. Mummy and Daddy asked me about how I felt, which I appreciated.
They let me make up my own mind about things, which makes me feel
special.

Clara: I love "TV" and watching Bob the Builder with my sister! It is my
favourite thing at the moment, and I get so upset when I cannot watch
it. I am learning to say so many words at the moment. Aiya is reading to
me so much, and has taught me to say lots of things! I am also sprinting
so fast now, and Aiya and I have races in the house. She is such a
lovely sister, and we laugh so much. She cheers me up in the morning
when I get up, and we are so cheeky before bed time, and when we play
Mummy Dog. I find I can walk down stairs pretty well now, and I also can
climb on the sofas so much easier now. I love watching Tom arrive and
cut our lawn, and he waves to me - he's a funny man.

C: Hmmmm, lovely pool cover! What a luxury!

S: Joseph really made me laugh at the 25th Anniversary - he and Aiysha
are great together, and are sooo considerate! He's a great friend! Touch
rugger has started!

2008-09-15 What A Week!

Aiysha:
I am so proud of myself! I have had such an amazing week, I can't quite believe it!

Firstly, I was given a Prefect Certificate for giving 100% in the school carnival! I didn't know about it on Friday, and they just said my name! Only 3 certificates got given out, and I was one of them!

I was also told that I would be chosen to run in the Inter-School athletics meet in a couple of week for Division 1 in my year group!

Also, I went to gymnastics, and I have been selected for the National Competitions training, and that means 4 hours a week!

ALSO, when I went swimming, I got my final certificate from Sharks, and I have now moved up to Bronze where I use fins. Mummy bought me my fins already, and I was walking around the house with them. Clogger just looked at me funny!

Mummy and Daddy were very proud of me, and they gave me lots of smiley faces! As a treat, I got to choose what I did at the weekend, as it was my special weekend! I decided that I wanted to go to Wild Kids, but when I phoned Lauren, she preferred to go skating, so I thought it would be nice to do what Lauren wanted, so we went skating. Tiana turned up surprisingly, and we had a nice skate together. I didn't want to rest at all!

On Sunday, I really wanted to go to Arena Joondalup, even though the weather was not very nice. Clogger went on Friday, and didn't go in the water, but this time she even went round the river with Mummy and Daddy! It was so funny! I finally managed to go on the giant slide after the party, while Daddy was making people laugh by lying on the jaccuzzi bubbles, and making his tummy really big with the bubbles.

I even tidied the games room on my own, and I was very proud of that. In the evening, we had roast lamb, and it was amazing! It is definitely one of my favourites.

Clogger: Aiysha has done really well - everyone was so happy for her, even me. I cannot wait to do all the things she has done! I am a proud sister! I am trying my best by practicing my running everywhere I go - one day I will be even faster that Aiya!

I know how to say "NO" - Mummy and Daddy laugh each time, as they say it sounds like a Northern Accent "Naw", whatever that means. I am saying so many things now, and it is amazing how I can use these sounds to communicate.

C: We are so proud of Aiysha. Clara is running everywhere, and tells us exactly when she wants to do something or not. When she says "Naw", she always runs her hands through her hair too, which is very funny!

S: Boo, a little bit of a rainy weekend! Aiysha went round the river all on her own, and was fine! We worked out it has been almost 2 years since we last went, so that is quite a leap! gymnastics will be hard - good job we stopped the cricket. We will continue with tennis, but try and add some hockey and netball - she hasn't had much team sports yet, so she will enjoy these

2008-09-12 Certificate, Carnival and Clogger!

Aiysha:
I was sent a letter home saying I was going to receive a certificate in assembly, but had no idea what it was for! Mummy and Daddy said it could be for a number of things - running, reading, writing, but they also had no idea. When it was our assembly, we had to watch Liam's assembly (Liam is my friend in year 7), and then they announced my certficate - 35 laps of the oval! Not many people got that - Tristam got one aswell, and we were so proud. Mummy, Daddy and Clogger were there to cheer!

A week later, we had our school carnival - my blue faction won it last year, and I was so excited! Mummy, Daddy and Clogger were there in the afternoon to cheer me on. My race was at 1pm, and it was after the pre-Primary races. I was racing against Martina and Lauren. I didn't have the best start, but once I got going, I caught Lauren up, which had a great start, and by the end, I was about 5 meters in front of everyone! I was so happy! Daddy filmed it, and everyone in blue faction congratulated me. Liam told everyone about me too! Aimee came second, Martina came 3rd and Lauren came 4th. A few weeks ago Martina asked me to let her win in a race, and I didn't, as it was a bit mean of her to ask. I made sure I ran faster this time! I think she may have learnt from that.

In the Grand Relay, I made up a lot of ground too, and won my part of the race. Blue faction won the Grand Relay, but unfortunately, we did not win the whole carnival - green faction won it. But I got 2 1st ribbons, so I was pretty happy!

Mummy and Daddy were so proud, that we watched my race over and over when we got home. I also got to choose dinner, so we went out to Macdonalds! It was really funny - I had chicken nuggets, clogger had some chips, and Mummy and Daddy had burgers - not as nice as the ones we make at home!

Last weekend we went to a few garage sales. One garage sale, I bought a pendulum and some books for $2, and on the way out, found $3 on the floor! Brilliant! I was so happy, and we all had a laugh about it on way home...we need to go to more sales like that!

Daddy and I started to play some basketball on the veranda, but soon it was too small, as I was getting them in from everywhere, so we had to move it to the pool area, and that was harder, as I was so far away! Daddy was very surprised at how accurate I was, and he was teaching me about how to hold the ball, body position, throw the ball high, and try and give the ball a backspin - it all worked, and it was fun!

I spent all week making Father's Day cards and presents for Daddy - I made him so happy because I made him at least 10 presents! It was such a funny day! We tried to go strawberry picking, but it was closed, so we went to Burns Beach park, and we had a big game of catch with some other kids and Daddy! It was fun!

Clogger: Carnival day is a crazy day! I love it! I'm going to run faster than Aiysha when I am six!

C: Even when we were training, Aiysha was beating me! Not fair!

S: How proud are we?! The best Father's Day present of all!

2008-08-09 2 Parties in 2 Days!

Aiysha: Last weekend, I was invited to 2 parties in 2 days! The first party was at Jungle Gym, and it was Kaylas! It was brilliant, and I won a prize for ringing the bell at the top of the climbing rope. The second party was a pyjama party at Maddie's place. I really didn't want to wear pyjamas, so I put them in a bag just in case. We played lots of games, and I won the Pinyatta prize!

I am keeping up with my tennis with Daddy. Daddy says my backhand is excellent, but I still need to work on my footwork.

I went for a sleepover at Martina's, and we also watched the opening ceremony of the Olympics in Beijing, China. It was quite amazing! My favourite were the patterns the dancers were making out of the flags. Daddy's was the boxes, and Mummy's was the painting on the scroll. Martina and I woke at 5am, and her Mummy was not too pleased as she slept in between us. I stayed up and watched some Olympics swimming and rowing with Daddy.

Clara: I love watching Nemo and the Majic School Bus! The big black square thing is amazing. I think it is called a TV. I get so excited whenever we are allowed to watch it!

C: Planted a tree today to replace Grandpa Arthurs tree which fell down in a storm. Hope this one lasts longer!

S: So windy today, so Aiysha and Clara and I went to Emerald Park to fly a kite. It must have been the only place in Perth where there was no wind. Very disappointing...

2008-07-21 Boab, or Baobab?

Aiysha:
On Sunday we watched a 750 year old Boab tree get planted in Kings Park. Daddy and Mummy argued about what the real name was, and it turns out they were both right! It was really nice at Kings Park, and we went on the board walk in the trees, and climbed rocks around the fountain. We also went to a cafe, and I shared my 2 twin poles with Rocker.

On Friday, I went to Hannah's for a sleepover, and it was so much fun. They picked my up in the morning, and we went ice skating in Fremantle. The weather was really bad, and some places in Perth got hail! I phoned Mummy and Daddy before I went to bed, which they really liked! I had so much fun, and can't wait to see her again. She is my best friend!

My school holidays have been really fun! I went to Dark Light laser last week with Emerald Park Daycare, and we also went bowling!

I love watching the Magic School Bus! It is my favourite at the moment, and so is Crash Bandicoot which I play with Daddy! Mummy just laughs at us when we play it.

Cloggy: I missed my Aiya on Friday night, but she was mine again on Saturday after her swim.

C: Finally trying to do something about how cold the house is! We covered the air conditioning vent on the roof, and closed all the vents in the house! Hope this works!
S: I can run past the Baobab when I'm at work! Lucky me...

2008-07-14 Rock Climbing!

Aiysha:
This was my third time rock climbing, and I loved it! Not only because I love climbing, but also because Hannah Banana Geneve came too! We picked her up on Sunday at about 10, and then Mummy drove us all to The Hangout where Daddy had to organise over 50 people to do the climbing. Hannah had never done it before, but she did really well. While Daddy was organising people and getting a lesson, Hannah and I went to the small wall and practiced. We also played catchy, and Clogger joined in. We started off on easy wall, and also did a challenge where we only climbed on the black rocks. We then stopped for pizza, chips, and an ice cream, then we started to do harder climbs. When I couldn't reach a rock, I jumped up and held on with one arm. Daddy was very impressed! Hannah was trying really hard, and she did almost all the climbs. Mummy picked us up with Clogger at about 3, then we drove Hannah back to her Grandma's. We all then went to the nearest park, and we played tag with the ball, and Clogger joined in too! We had burgers for dinner to finish a brilliant day!

On Saturday, Mummy was not well, so Daddy took Clogger and I to his friend Mandy's wedding reception. We got a little lost around Matilda Bay, but got there in the end. It was a breakfast, so I had pancakes, and Daddy had a cooked breakfast with Clogger, who ate loads of egg. We then watched a video of their wedding which was at the Pinnacles, and it looked amazing. Clogger kept on running in front of the film, so I just picked her up and carried on playing with her. We left at about 11.30, stopped off to look at Jacobs Ladder, and went home. Daddy took us shopping in the afternoon, and I held Cloggers hand all the way round! Mummy and Daddy said I was so good, and gave me loads of smiley faces! We played a little Crash Bandicoot, which was funny!

Last week, I got the first certificate for Sharks, and I've only been in the group a few weeks! Now I get to go to the deep end and practice!

Clara: I loved playing on the mats! I also love seeing Hannah - she takes so much care of me.

C: We had our new sofa delivered on Thursday for our lounge, and it is amazing! We can finally relax in our lounge...even though it is a little cold...

S: Aiysha was so good over the whole weekend! Asking us if we need help with everything! Her climbing was amazing to watch, especially when she jumped to reach rocks out of her reach!

2008-07-09 I am Sixy!

Aiysha:
I had such a wonderful birthday weekend, and I felt sooo special! I was so excited on Friday night because I received lots of presents in the post from around the world! Thank you all so much!

Even though it was my birthday, I still had to go to my swimming lesson, but I didn't mind. Kat, the head instructor, says I'm doing so well, so that makes me happy! After swimming, I went straight home to get ready for my party at Jungle Gym! Hannah arrived about an hour before, and we went outside to play with Saran and Ellis. We all got in the car then, and drove to Jungle Gym, with all my special birthday food in the boot. When we got there, there was a lesson going on, and so we watched as they did some amazing trampolining to music. I wish I could do that. I felt so special when my party did start, as I was at the front the whole time! We were taken around all the equipment, and then we were allowed to do what we liked. I loved ringing the bell at the top of the big rope, and also seeing myself on video. The people who came to my party were Lauren, Kayla, Jack, Joseph, Jason, Martina, Tiana, Hannah Banana, Hannah Morrow, Tristan, Maddie, Baillie, Callum, and Charlie. We had all the food in a room downstairs, and it was lovely! We had crisps, sausage rolls, cakes, ice cream and strawberries, which Callum ate!

After my party I went to Martina's for a play, which was funny! When I came back, Mummy and Daddy decided to go out to dinner at Fratelli's, which was lovely! I had fish and chips, and Mummy and Daddy had pasta. I was very tired after such an exciting day!

On Sunday, I opened my presents from my friends. Clara's favourite present was a pig which sang a song, but I loved everything. I got light fountains, pens, games, make up boxes, angel making kits - just so much!

We went on a bike ride to whitfords in the afternoon, and we played in the park, walked to the coast, and did running races. It was funny!
Clara: I can't wait until I am six!

C: I cannot believe Aiysha is 6 already!

S: I cannot believe Aiysha is 6 already!

2008-06-23 Hannah Banana On Ice!

Aiysha: I saw Hannah Banana this weekend! It was fantastic! I was so happy to see her, and it was if we were still in the same class! We got on really well!

On Friday night, I had my second assessment at High Flyers, and I passed well. I could not understand how some of the other passed too, as they couldn't climb up the rope like I did.

On Saturday I did my swim, and Clogger was really well behaved! After my swim, I got ready for Tiana party at Wild Kids! I was so excited. Lauren came round at 10, and we got ready together. Mummy dropped me off and left me, as I am such a big girl now! I had a great time, and sat next to the birthday girl when we had our lunch! I was so tired afterwards when I came home with Lauren's Mum.

Sunday we went Ice Skating! We made a picnic, and picked Hannah up at 11am - it was so funny seeing her again! We drove down to Fremantle, and we talked all the way down. We went to the park, and ate our picnic. Mummy made some lovely cakes too for us. We then went to Cockburn Ice Arena, and it was so crowded. Daddy had to organise people, but we got our skates in the end, and it was excellent! It was Hannah's first time, and she did really well. I am getting faster and faster.

Only one week until my birthday! Yippee!

Clara: Cold, wet, miserable. Me no like, but I like the fly flaps!

C: Too crowded for me, and I didn't get to go on the ice! Boo!

S: Little Creatures - so near, but yet so far...

2008-06-17 Shells On The Wind!

Aiysha: This weekend was just a little busy! Mummy took me for my swim with the Skarks, and then we went to Innaloo fish shop to get some crab and white bait for Mummy and Daddy - I don't like those things, just fish and chips!

In the afternoon, we invited Jack and Conor to our house to play! It was really funny! The new neighbours had their grandchildren there, and they just happen to be Ellis from my class and his sister Saran. We all played different games on the lawn for ages, and Mummy also brought out some snacks! We all then went down to the park as a gang - some in the car which Mummy drove with Clog, and some of us walked! It was so funny at the park - we did monkey bars, twister, catch, and played on the swings.

By the time we left, big clouds started to come in. We went home, and Mummy and Daddy made up home made pizza's which were lovely! It had 4 different parts with olives, ham, cheese and pineapple. We also had garlic bread, and we all ate so much! We then ran around in the lounge for ages chasing each other, and fighting! It was funny, and Clogger tried to join in, but she just watched, as it was a bit rough.

Sunday was sooooo rainy! I ended up in Mummy and Daddy's bed as I was a bit scared, and Mummy went to my bed - funny! Daddy decided to do some jobs around the house. He put the fire alarm up, and finally hung his guitars on the wall which look very nice now. He also put a picture up in the games room, which is nice, as it is of snow which I can't wait to see! We stayed inside for the morning, but after lunch we all went for a drive - it was so windy and wet, but luckily it stopped raining when we got to Trigg. We went to the park where I did monkey bars, then we went to the cafe where we had some cakes and ice cream (which Clogger loved). Mummy then wanted to walk on the beach - funny Mummy, as it was sooo windy! But the wind blew up all the shells, and we collected them! We also had a competition to find the biggest, most colourful, and smallest shell. I won, as my shell was soooo much bigger than Daddy's! Mummy and I laughed at him.

On Tuesdays, Daddy picks me up and we walk home. We play in the park a little on the way home, and I love going on the flying fox, but I never could reach it! I finally managed to reach it today without having to jump a little, which I was doing at the start! I must be getting big!

Clogger: It was a crazy weekend! I loved it all apart from the windy beach - I tried to climb away, but Daddy picked my up and brought me back - meanie! When I do not like something now, I pout! It is a lot easier than saying no or shaking my head! And it makes everyone laugh too...

C: Brrrrrrr, getting cold now! Huddle round the fire!

S: Our own home made pizza's are amazing! Who needs Pizza Hut?

2008-06-08 My sister was eaten by a pig!

Aiysha: Last weekend we had a long weekend, and it was lovely! We tried to go to the Zoo, but it looked too rainy, so we decided to go to AQWA instead! I've been here before, so I showed Mummy, Daddy and Clogger around! We tried to go to the small aquarium at Hillary's, but it was closed at weekends, but we managed to walk around Hillary's, get an ice cream, and play on the beach when no one was there, as it was really stomy.

This weekend was so funny too! We did so much! On Saturday, I had my second lesson of Sharks, and Daddy said my backstroke was really good. In the afternoon, it was a really nice day so we went to the Cuddly Animal Farm where we could touch all the animals! Daddy climbed in with some baby pigs, and Clogger went in too, but the pigs were so hungry they though Clogger was their food, and one pig started snorting at Clogger and pushed her right over - she was really scared, and cried so much! Naughty Daddy! After that, Cloggy was a little afraid of touching animals. I loved the lambs, and I wanted to feed them with a bottle, but ended up feeding a pig, and so did Mummy. We no like. I met some friends there, and we played in the bouncy castle soooo much, doing summersaults! Funny! Daddy touched a ferret.

On Sunday, we went to Kings Park. Cloggy went on the big swing today, and I did so much monkeying on the hand rails! It was funny!

I wrote all my invitations to my party on Sunday, and I gave them out on Monday at school. I was so proud! I can't wait for my party!

Clogger: I don't like pigs. They're not cuddly at all. I love my vaseline tub though! Love it, love it, love it!

C: I love my new oven! More cakes for us, and perhaps even a timely winter roast!

S: My favourite was the ferret at the farm. The aquarium is the best I've ever seen. When you went on top to look at the seals, the view was out to the ocean, and it was amazing. Perfect setting for an aquarium.

2008-05-13 My First School Certificate and Mother's Day

Aiysha:
I got presented my first school certificate for Indonesian on Friday, but it was a bit different. Mummy, Daddy and Clogger came to see me get it from Mr. Pond, the headmaster. There was a performance of "You Think You Can Dance" by year 5, and it was really good. Daddy liked the hip-hop, Mummy liked the ballet, and I thought the boys dressed as ballet dancers were really funny! After that Mr. Pond announced each of the certificates in turn, but my name wasn't called! I could see Mummy and Daddy were very upset, and they both went to speak to Mr. Pond, and at the end of the assembly, I had to collect my certificate in front of the school on my own! It was very special, and a bit scary! Mummy and Daddy were relieved, and at the end I had my photo taken with Mr. Pond.

It was Mothers Day on Sunday, and I made Mummy open all of our presents! She got an oil/vinegar pourer from Clogger and some teaspoons, and I gave her a big ice-cream scooper, and some teaspoons! I also made her lots of artwork from school. I bought her a heart shaped mirror key ring from the school shop, the same one I gave Daddy. Where has that gone?

We went for a ride along Matilda Bay to a coffee shop on the river, but it was closed! So we had to go to the Matilda Bay cafe, and had cakes, ice-cream and coffee. Daddy let Clogger get wet, and he got in trouble from Mummy. It was fun! I also climbed some really tall trees along the river too!

We picked a whole bucket full of lemons from our own tree! Wow! Lucky we got another fridge!

Clara: I loved getting soaked at Matilda Bay, and I loved Daddy's milkshakes! I absolutely love Softy and Lucy! I cannot go anywhere without them! I take such good care if them, and I cry whenever I cannot reach them! They are my little sisters!

C: I had a lovely Mothers Day! The weather was lovely, and we had such a nice time on our bikes.

S: Clara was so nice to me this weekend - she came to me for everything! She's a clever one!

Our oven packed in last week, so we spent Saturday looking for an oven. Claire got an unexpected Mothers Day present! More cakes for us now!
