2011-04-10 Grandad Brian and Grandma Sik

Aiysha:
We went to City Beach for fish and chips, and it was soooo stormy! We invited Joe, and we played catchy on the beach, which was funny. Grandma and Grandpa enjoyed looking at the storm coming in. We had a lovely fish and chips too, and had such a laugh in the car coming back!

We also went up to Yanchep for a walk around the park - we looked at the koalas, and it was such a peaceful morning.

I did my first back-flip today - I am so happy!

Grandma and Grandpa came to watch me at my assembly where I was the narrator for Jack and The Beans Talk. I also got a merit certficate - I was so proud that every one came to watch me, and I practiced to much for the assembly. By the time the assembly came round, I knew everyone's parts! It was fun!

Clara: Grandma and Grandpa came to watch me swim, which was great, and I managed to walk around Yanchep without being carried! I am so proud of myself!

We took Grandma and Grandpa to City beach during the day too, and played boules. I was really good, and got two double pointers! In the end, Grandad won, but it was a funny game.

Gradma and Grandpa cam to watch my Easter Parade assembly in my classroom. I was a little nervous, but I was really proud to do that in front of all the moms and dads!

I loved my first school disco! I was upset to leave! Me and Claire looked after Pubic Enemy (Emily), and we had so much fun!

C: Why doesn't Clara walk all the way round when I'm walking around Yanchep! Not fair!

S: Had a game of tennis with Grandad - lovely weather for it, and went to watch Western Force being beaten easily by the Waratahs which was disaapointing. Went down to Dunsborough for 3 nights where we did a lot of walks along the coastline and along the beaches. It was lovely down there. Went for walks on Wyadup Beach (no dolphins this time), from the lighthouse, and further down the coast. We had some amazing weather, and after each day we finished off with a movie - lovely!

When we got back, we went to the Gravity Centre, which was in a remote area in the outback, and we only just got there after we trekked around for petrol, and finally got some at Guilderton. We celebrated with an ice-cream! The GC was amazing, and we climbed right up to the top of the observation centre, and looked right across the bush, and dropped our water filled ballons down to Mum who didn't climb up. Was pretty amazing place.

Our annual walk was up at Yanchep dunes - we struggled through the dunes where people go 4WDing. We started off early, and got back at around 2pm. On the walk we saw a snake which I picked up, and a trail of 47 spitfire caterpillars which we've both never seem before. We had no camera, which was a real shame! Sat on the coast for lunch, where we decided to take the harder walk back to Yanchep. Drove to the coast for a coffee, the most expensive coffee ever, considering it was a small and didn't taste nice - $5!

Spent a day at City Beach too with Clara, and played a game of boules - lovely day, and boules was a lot of fun. Bit too cold to go in the water though.

Went for a lovely dim sum where we sent Dave a picture, but don't think he got, and walked around town for a bit looking at stuff. Mum got cramp after wearing heals all day, but the massage doctor (me) came to the rescue!

Once again, loads of memorable excursions, which was great.
