2018-08-25 Final Netball Week, Swans Rugby, Movies
Aiysha: I got the time wrong, so we had to wait around an extra hour for the game - doh! We rang Uncle Dave which was funny. We lost to Swans on Friday night - we could have won the game, but we didn't pass the ball when we needed to, and didn't stick to the game plan. Scored some great tries, but all too late.
I seem to be in a lot of posters around the Northern Suburbs - in bus stops, on the back of buses - people keep spotting me!
Clara: It not like I see enough of Aiysha around I have to put up with her on buses and at bus stops!
Mid-way through my temporary braces being turned to widen my teeth - almost there!
C: Yummy! Hi Tea!
Funny seeing Paish everywhere!
S: The marketing person at Mater Dei asked for my permission for the photos - I said: "Absolutely, that will be hilarious!" Not quite sure how she took it.
2018-08-20 Sydney 7s, One Big Voice, Tennis, Beach
Aiysha: It was so exciting playing in Sydney! I was on for every game and every half, apart from a few minutes in the last game. We ended up 4th after winning 4 and losing 3. We beat one of the finalists, and lost by 4 by the other finalist, so we did really well. My best game was against Hong Kong on the second day, but it wasn't televised!
I don't think I have ever been so sore and tired...ever! It was an amazing trip, and I'm glad I can easyt at home again!
I heard our netball team lost, so we're not in finals - boo!
Clara: We had One Big Voice on Friday - the songs were not as good as last year, but it was a funny evening. Daddy kept on texting Mr Grey funny things. Daddy could see us, but we couldn't see him.
We missed Aiysha! We did have a cool weekend though. We won at our netball, so we secured our place in finals. I hurt my knee though and didn't feel too good, so only played a half. Daddy and I also went to play tennis for 2 hours - it was so nice, and great to see Daddy move around again! After, we went to the beach which was lovely, especially with our peaches and oranges!
C: I went for High Tea in town - how nice! Lovely now the sun is out!
S: Tennis was great, and the beach was amazing! Come on Summer!
2018-08-18 Goodbye Smokey, We Love You So Much!
It was the saddest day. Smokey had lost a lot of weight while we were away and was falling over a lot.
Mummy and Roxy took Smokes to the vet, and in the end, he wasn't having an enjoyable life, so we decided to put him to sleep. We brought him home and he spent the night in front of the fire with a few teddies while we milled around.
We all cried so much, and we will miss you so much. We'll always talk about you. You were the most amazing part of our family.
2018-08-14 What a week! Everlast Flames, Belmont Netball, Interschool Cross Country
Clara: Interschool Cross Country - I was so nervous, for weeks! I have trained very hard for it and wanted to be as fit as I could be. It started off pretty slow, so I took the lead after around 400m, and never looked back. Well, I did, several times, but I created such a lead that I couldn't be caught. I was so pleased with my run, and our Year 6 girls got the lowest score of any winning team with 15. We did so well!
Wow, it was the most exciting netball game ever, for years! We had to play the top team Everlast Flames to have a chance of reaching finals. However, we didn't play all too well in the first 3 quarters, and we were down by 10 going into the last quarter. I have no idea how we did it, but we absolutely smashed them! We got pretty much every turnover, and scored. We scored all our centre passes, and we ended up winning by 2! It was an incredible game, and I scored a lot of goals in the last quarter as GA. I think I'll always remember this game!
On Sunday, I played for Paua Rose u13 at the Belmont tournament. The teams were a real mix, and we won some pretty easy games. However, when it came to the final game, it was tough against Belmont. I think we won by 3, but it was close. It was really fun, and I really liked playing at Paua Rose.
After all that, I ended up being a bit ill for a couple of days, but it was worth it!
Aiysha: That was amazing Clara - I wish I could have watched you (and missed school!). Amazing!
We won our netball - we had to to have a chance of finals. We lost to Arks and Neddies, which was not great, and not too happy about that.
C: What a game - awesome shooting Roxy!
What a race Roxy Roo! You ran amazing!
S: The best run ever Rox! That was amazing!
Amazing game - never seen anything like that! Our Opens lost by one again (5th time), but our 11s won a great game in their first game in Div 2!
2018-08-04 Warriors Cup, Cold and Wet, Jacinta's Party
Clara: We had the Warriors Cup two days after Daddy got back from Hong Kong, and it was nice to have him coaching. We decided to move me to GD to strengthen the defence, and have Cara and Bella up front. We did really well against Sorrento, as we've never beaten them, and we beat Yanchep in the first game. Unfortunately we lost to both of the Hammersley teams - one by a lot (their U13 team), and the one in our division. It was a shame, but we didn't play as well as we could against them. Daddy wasn't disappointed, and loved coaching us though. The team was Emma, Shayla, Cara, Bella, Talisha, Alisha, Holly, Mia, Me. Maybe next year?
I went to Jacinta's party - it was a sleep over and played games. Me and Aaliyah hid everyone else's phones as they were all on them! It was funny! I don't think I'll be on my phone all the time when I get one. We also watched some movies!
Aiysha: I don't mind rugby when it is cold and wet, but I do prefer the sun!
C: It was great to see them in the tournament!
S: Not liking this cold weather! It ain't Hong Kong!
Warriors Cup was good fun, but pretty hard to know where to place people. The girls did amazing though! We came 3rd.
