2024-12-28 - Day 4 - Bus to Siem Reap, Yi Family Homestay, Skicky Rice!

 

Stressed trying to get to the bus! We packed up and left our room by 7pm, and 2 tuk tuk took us to the bus. They were cool drivers!

The bus ride was pretty good! We got some snacks, fried rice for lunch, and the seats were pretty good. Watched Eternal Sunshine, and slept a bit. Got there at around 1.30. Mummy noticed the couple next to her did not speak to each other the whole trip! When we arrived we got some mangos and bananas - so nice! A nice tuk tuk driver took us out in the sticks to our Yi Family Homestay.

Once we settled in, we decided to go for a walk, and ended up watching dogs, puppies and kids flying kites - entertainment! Loads of dogs everywhere, some not looking do good. The one in our homestay Donnie is so nice though! We went for a walk in the road, and then headed out to Siem Reap markets - so busy, and so big! Mooched around for a while, then found this local place that served seafood and mango sticky rice! We got crab and fried fish, and the girls got fish and pineapple rice and spring rolls. Only $37!

7-Eleven, few issues with the quality of our USD, then home. Paish won Rummikub!
