2024-12-30 - Day 6 - Floating Village, Hero Rats, Indochine

 

Amazing trip to the floating village - what an eye opening way to live. We travelled from a very stale and dry upper river tributary to the huge expanse of Tonle Sap lake. We visited two villages, and stopped for repairs a couple of times which gave us time to really take in the village life. Excellent trip and Nara came with us.

We got back late in the afternoon, and managed to squeeze in the Hero Rats! Wow, incredible exhibition of how the rats discover landmines, and we got to hold Ratana too! Some quite disturbing statistics, and we definitely want to donate to the cause when we get home.

We went out to Indochine, a restaurant we walked past on our way home, and it was pretty good! Tuk Tuk home.
