2016-09-27 Day 1 (Monday - Tuesday): Surprise! We're Going To HK!

C: It was the funniest thing! We though Aiysha had guessed, but the night before we left Aiysha was so proud that she had guessed we were going to Kalbarri! Hilarious!

We started going south on the freeway, and Aiysha asked why we going south - Daddy made up some rubbish about getting on the Great Northern Highway. Once we got close to the airport, she had guessed we were going on a plane - it was so funny seeing their reaction!

S: The best trick ever! We spent most of the day packing, and we also had time for a game of tennis! We had a normal dinner, and then made sure we had everything packed up ready to leave at around 9.30pm, so Mummy could visit Duty Free!

Roxy had planned out the whole drive to Kalbarri, which was awesome - she can use it next time.

Great to see Dave and Grandad again! It's gonna be fun!

Aiysha: Darn those parents! But I was so excited! Even when we landed in Singapore, I still had no idea where we were going to end up. Dad kept on saying we were on a connecting flight, but wouldn't say where to, until a person at Singapore Airport asked us if we were going to Hong Kong. Once I knew, I was smiling all the way! We didn't stay long in Singapore at all, and rushed to catch the connecting flight to HK.

As soon as I knew Uncle Dave was going to be there at the same time, I was soooo excited!

Clara: Wow, we're going to Hong Kong! That is cool, and I was completely fooled! I didn't mind the drive to Kalbarri as much Aiysha though!

I loved looking at the Duty Free before the flight, and then we got onto our Singapore Airlines flight. We were sitting all together, and there were some great movies on the plane too!

It was really hot when we arrived. We took the Airport Express once we got a bite to eat, and that took us all the way to Central in HK where Uncle Dave met us! We took taxis home, and Daddy made us all some moon noodles which were yummy compared to the airplane food! We then headed down to the Football Club to chill out as we were pretty exhausted. We had a swim and a jacuzzi before we had dinner down there with Dave and Kee. Dad and Uncle Dave headed to the hospital to pick up Grandad who had a bit of a fall, and they met us after.

It was sooo cool seeing all the buildings and scenery - it is sooo different from Perth!

2016-09-26 School Holidays!

Clara: I was sooo lucky this weekend - everyone forgot that Daddy was meant to take Mummy to Gold Class cinema! Daddy just remembered just before the movie, but it was too late for Mummy to go as she had to pick up Aiysha from her boat trip. That meant I had to go!

Daddy didn't tell me what film it was going to be, but it ended up being Sully, a true story about a plane crash in the Hudson River in America - it was really good, and pretty scary. The best thing about the movie? The seats that I could stretch out into a bed using some buttons. We also got delivered a milkshake and waffles in the middle of the film - that was cool!

I am sort of looking forward to going away - I don't like long drives. I'm going to miss Smokey though :-(

Aiysha: I went with my friend Jess and Casey on a boat to Rottnest on a freezing cold day

I went for breakfast with Sean, and when I came I went for a bike ride to Neil Hawkins with Mummy, Clara and Dad. On the way back I wiped out big time! I scraped my shoulder and bruised my leg. I felt like such a plonk. Daddy couldn't stop laughing, even the day after!

I suppose we have to go on a long drive - :-(

C: I can't wait to get away! The weather here is just too cold!

I miss Smokey already!

S: I won the final of Division 1 Oz Tennis! I played Rod, pretty windy weather, but managed to hold on. Looking forward to next season.

2016-09-18 Father Day, Netball Finals, Sleepovers!

Aiysha: I had my netball finals this week - we played Hammersley who beat us by a lot two weeks ago. It was such an exciting game, and the crowds were amazing! I went on in the 2nd quarter at GA, and we ended up being down by 6 or 7 at half time. We had to do something drastic, so Dean ended up putting me at WA, and the whole team seemed to click with V at GA and Maddie shooting. At one point we got around 5 goals in a row! We were only a couple of points behind after the 3rd quarter, and Dean kept the same team. Amazing last quarter, and it was so exciting, but we ended up just going down by 2. What a shame, but what a comeback! We were so proud. Next year we'll smash it!

I then was forced to go for a sleepover at Casey's, as Daddy wanted to take Mummy to the cinema - but he was rejected - there were no seats left! Ha ha! Daddy said Casey can come and sleepover next weekend, and he has booked the seats for sure now!

Clara: I have finally clicked with my tennis! I have had the most amazing practice with Daddy, and we had some amazing rallies with top spin backhand and forehands! I can't wait to show Mummy and Aiysha!

I had such a funny sleepover at Jazmin's - Aaliyah and Aiva were also there. We watched the Hunger Games, and laughed a lot, especially at our roller blading. We didn't sleep that much, so we were all pretty tired on Sunday!

I had my netball windup, and even though I didn't get MVP this year, we have some additional awards at our dinner, which should be fun!

C: Well done Paish! Amazing game considering you had the whole season off! Can't wait for spring!

S: What a funny Father's Day! The girls took me to a place near Gidgigannup - Noble Falls - it was so much fun, and we went for a lovely walk. We were expecting the BBQ place to be empty, but actually it was packed! We found a BBQ though, and cooked a lovely breakfast and sat by the river. Thanks guys!

Great netball game Paish! Amazing to see!

Our BF team took on a robot challenge - really funny night - we won the first round, but lost the second round where we had to build a robot to win some fights - if only we'd won the first two rounds!

2016-08-28 Spring is here? Netball season (and the Rio Olympics) is almost over :-(

Clara: We have now finished netball season, which I am pretty sad about. I was so excited every week to play, so I can't wait to play in Spring Netball! We lost out last game, and the rain was really hard and windy, but I enjoyed it anyway. The final few minutes were called off because the rain was so bad!

I went to Jazmin's brother's party at Rotary Park - lucky it didn't rain!

Dad and I went out to Yello, and it was the most beautiful day out - loads of people and boats were out and about. Can't wait until Summer! We also did some rock climbing at Trigg!

Aiysha: Our closest game this season - against Hammersley! We finally won by 3, which means we play them again in the quarter finals next week. My shooting was pretty good, and Dad and I have been practicing by going to Kingsway.

I got my Naplan results - I passed them all! Wahoo! No re-takes next year! I am pretty happy about that.

Casey came for a sleepover, and we watched Stick-It to annoy Dad - it worked!

Dad and I also watched the Wallabies second test against NZ - hoping it would be better than last week, but nope\, it was worse! At least it wasn't 40 points!

I loved the Olympics - every sport was awesome - rugby, the gymnastics, handball, badminton. I even woke up in the middle of the night to watch some of it! I'm going to miss it!

C: Got out new robot for our pool - Clara named him Triton!

Brrrr - still cold and wet here, and we've run out of good firewood! Ah man!

A couple of weekends ago we spent the evening up at Two Rocks - it was lovely. We played cricket and kicked the rugby ball around - well, I didn't.

S: I wish Spring would arrive soon!

2016-08-13 Avon Descent, One Big Voice, Interschool Cross Country!

Clara: I was soooo nervous about the Interschool Cross Country. Last year I came second, but me and Daddy have trained hard and went on a few 6km runs together - they were hard, but I really enjoyed them, especially when it was raining. This year there were around 7 schools competing.

The race was at the same place - MacDonald Reserve in Padbury, and Mummy managed to get some time off to watch too! The race started off really fast, perhaps because we only had to run 1km. I managed to make my way through the field and I was second place when we got to half way. I felt good, so I overtook Skye who I competed against in the sprints and field events. I managed to maintain my lead right up until the end, and I won by around 15 metres to spare - I was tired, but pretty relieved that I managed to win this year!

Everyone at Edgewater managed to run well, but we were a man down, so we missed out on some points. We managed to get third as a team, and 5th overall for our school. Last year we came first as a school, which was amazing. Maybe next year.

I was also in the choir for One Big Voice, an event with over 3000 students performing at Perth Arena. It was amazing to sing in such an amazing venue. We were there from 1pm, and we got to practice with the other schools until the show started at 6pm. There were people there from Australia's Got Talent too, one went to Mummy's school! It was a really fun night, and we went to our favourite chinese restaurant after!

Aiysha: I played my first quarter of a game today for 10 weeks! It was against Sorrento, and I scored a couple, but really my shooting was bad.

The Olympics are on in Rio at the moment, and I love them - gymnastics, rugby, and now track and field!

We had a really funny time at the Avon Descent - watching capsizing boats, donuts, going for a big walk, and even throwing the rugby ball in the river for a boat to collect for us! Funny!

C: Is it the end of Winter yet?

S: Looking forward to Summer now!

2016-08-06 Burning Fruit - Best Online Business Award, Burning Fruit Trip - Mandurah

S:  We won our third award this year - Best Online Business by the Joondalup Business Awards! Crazy stuff!

We went on our Burning Fruit Trip to Mandurah - our second there! In total, we had 11 people come along to visit our pad - Julz, Connor, Harrison, Amanda, Andrea, Tammy, Henry, Glen, Daniel, Harry and myself. We even took a boat trip out and went through the canals!

It was great fun, but work was a big crazy! Some of us had a routine by going to the gym and sauna in the mornings too.

C: The girls and I were freezing! We pretty much used up all the firewood, but we had fun watching Dance Moms.

2016-07-20 Sydney / Wollongong

Aiysha: I missed having Daddy around, but we got to watch Dance Moms!

Clara: Daddy rang every night while he was over in Sydney, and we sat around chatting to him on the phone each night! It was fun, but I preferred him to be with us!

C: It was sooo cold while the work was being done in our kitchen, but we survived! The surface was all done, but we missed Daddy!

S: I went over to Sydney to visit Wollongong University iAccelerate building opening - it was an amazing week with the ECU team of Vicki and Darren - lots of fun both day and night! Bondi, meals out, even ended up in a night club one night! Funny!

2018-07-05 Talent Quest and Lightening Carnival!

Clara: I practiced so hard for the Edgewater talent quest - I decided to do my Counting Stars dance, and Aiysha and Daddy helped me put it together. In the end I came second because Xander had a brilliant Rubix cube routine with his sister - it was so funny! I was really happy coming second to that!

We also had the lightening carnival where we played our school team against other schools. We didn't place, but it was really good fun playing with my school friends!

Lockey and I were chosen to do an audition to be announcersat One Big Voice - it was pretty scary, and I am glad I didn't get chose - maybe next year!

2016-07-04 Dance Troupe Comps, School Holidays Start!

Clara: We had our dance comps at Sacred Heart School. Modern, Tap, Jazz (Blues Brothers), Acro - it was great to do them, and we placed second on tap, which was great. I loved our jazz and acro too.

Aiysha: School holidays! Wahoo!

C:  I loved watching Roxy's dancing comp - it was really good, and we ended up being great judges!

Voting - yippee :-|

S:  Well done Roxy - amazing dancing!
