2016-09-29 Day 3 (Thursday): Cable Car to Lantau Buddha

Aiysha: This trip was sooo much fun! We took the MTR to the start of the cable car, and it was the most amazing ride ever! The cable car went over the biggest mountains, and it was pretty scary stuff!

Once we got there Dad a look around the shops, and then Dad tried to do some bargaining for Mummy - fail! We then walked up to the Buddha, and tried to get onto the top level, but failed! It was such a fun trip, and amazing to see HK like this - I don't remember anything from last time!

When we came back we went to watch Uncle Dave coach his girls rugby team - it was funny seeing him coach, and listening to all his funny names for moves - "Black Chicken", "Razor"! Dad and Uncle Dave also kicked the ball around, which was pretty cool. We went for a lovely dinner at the Football Club after.

Clara: I loved taking pictures using Daddy's camera. I loved climbing up to the Buddha, and the cable car ride was amazing! We played a bit of sweet and sour, which was funny.

C: Amazing trip - what a second day!

We found a french bakery on the way back yesterday, so we decided to get breakfast, and bring it to Grandad - lovely croissants and baguettes!

S: Fantastic day, and the cable car ride was so funny! Great to kick the ball around too!

2016-09-28 Day 2 (Wednesday): Ocean Park

Clara: Ocean Park was soooooo much fun! From the train ride to the other side of the park, to the log flume, to the dolphins - it was amazing! Everything about it was hilarious! The only disappointment was the prices of the photos of us on rides - I would have loved a picture of us on the Raging Rapids!

I loved the dolphins and the walruses! I was freaked out by the chinese salamanders, and thought there was one on the wall outside the tank - it was huge, and was the same colour! It was funny!

Daddy and Mummy found a couple of amazing insects - praying mantis and a stick insect - we held them, and it was sooo cool!

Aiysha: Dad and I went on the Mine Train - it was the ride with the most amazing view, and it was pretty crazy!

It was pretty empty the whole day, and we just went round on the rides so quickly! The only ride we didn't get on was the Ocean Park Tower - it was full of tour operators, so we had no patience.

We had a lovely lunch there too, but pretty expensive, so we shared. We even treated ourselves to an ice cream - yum!

We lost Mummy and Roxy once, and spent ages looking for them - Mummy could not turn her Wifi on so we couldn't Whatsapp her. In the end, we texted each other - doh!

C: We had our own dolphin show when we went to the rehabilitation centre - the trainers were there, and the dolphins did some amazing tricks, and we were soooo close! No one else was there too, so we had the show to ourselves!

We decided to take the bus back over the top of the mountain, and Daddy got a bit lost - we took the 41A bus, and he said it went the wrong way - What the! He then spotted a road that he recognised - Broadwood Road - and we had an amazing walk down to Happy Valley down the road - if only we didn't have to make an emergency exit from the bus. We did find a lovely bakery though to have breakfast! Can't wait!

S: Awesome day! We took the bus through the Aberdeen Tunnel there, but on the way back went past South Island School - it had changed a lot!

For dinner we went to the wet market for some local foot - it was amazing! Roast chicken and garlic, veges, pork neck - amazing!

What a first day for us all!

2016-09-27 Day 1 (Monday - Tuesday): Surprise! We're Going To HK!

C: It was the funniest thing! We though Aiysha had guessed, but the night before we left Aiysha was so proud that she had guessed we were going to Kalbarri! Hilarious!

We started going south on the freeway, and Aiysha asked why we going south - Daddy made up some rubbish about getting on the Great Northern Highway. Once we got close to the airport, she had guessed we were going on a plane - it was so funny seeing their reaction!

S: The best trick ever! We spent most of the day packing, and we also had time for a game of tennis! We had a normal dinner, and then made sure we had everything packed up ready to leave at around 9.30pm, so Mummy could visit Duty Free!

Roxy had planned out the whole drive to Kalbarri, which was awesome - she can use it next time.

Great to see Dave and Grandad again! It's gonna be fun!

Aiysha: Darn those parents! But I was so excited! Even when we landed in Singapore, I still had no idea where we were going to end up. Dad kept on saying we were on a connecting flight, but wouldn't say where to, until a person at Singapore Airport asked us if we were going to Hong Kong. Once I knew, I was smiling all the way! We didn't stay long in Singapore at all, and rushed to catch the connecting flight to HK.

As soon as I knew Uncle Dave was going to be there at the same time, I was soooo excited!

Clara: Wow, we're going to Hong Kong! That is cool, and I was completely fooled! I didn't mind the drive to Kalbarri as much Aiysha though!

I loved looking at the Duty Free before the flight, and then we got onto our Singapore Airlines flight. We were sitting all together, and there were some great movies on the plane too!

It was really hot when we arrived. We took the Airport Express once we got a bite to eat, and that took us all the way to Central in HK where Uncle Dave met us! We took taxis home, and Daddy made us all some moon noodles which were yummy compared to the airplane food! We then headed down to the Football Club to chill out as we were pretty exhausted. We had a swim and a jacuzzi before we had dinner down there with Dave and Kee. Dad and Uncle Dave headed to the hospital to pick up Grandad who had a bit of a fall, and they met us after.

It was sooo cool seeing all the buildings and scenery - it is sooo different from Perth!
