What a day:
- Paish had a zoom with the head of her course "Of course I'm not going to fail you!" She was so happy! Well done Paish! To celebrate, we raced around the pool - pretty equal around the step on the edge, but when we had to run down the middle in deep water, I came out on top, tee hee!
- Super cool Aeroplane Cafe - Delio and croissants! So cool, then went for a walkabout around the plane!
- Stumbled upon an amazing market in Kuta - no hassle, no bargaining, and got pretty much everything we wanted! Paish will say I just bought stuff for myself - don't believe her!
- Had an amazing lunch in the boujee place just down a side street
- The Kirana was right next to the huge budda statue! Pool was lovely, and we had the pool room on the first night
- Found an amazing Pizzeria Italia - so nice, right in the busy night life part of town. Little did we know that there were pretty much two versions of a lot of restaurants - we thought we were going mad!
Cool stuff:
- Breakfast sitting in our luxury infinity pool!
- Our place in Jimbaran was very swish - had a pool down the middle of the resort, so everyone's back door opened onto it
- Amazing seafood dinner at Jimbaran - lots of dodgy sales people, but we chose this one guy who seemed nice, but got a bit upset with our order, then turned back into a nice guy! We had all types of sea food, it was amazing! We then walked up and down Jimbaran beach watching the toy light helicopters kids were shooting into the sky - very cool
- Another late night cafe open - so cool!
Cool stuff:
- Had trouble getting a taxi to Makalele - too steep for some taxis! Met a cool taxi stand guy who got us a taxi though. Met a French tourist who was going to go to Kokoda to eat dragon - nice
- Unbelievable resort - never been to anything like that ever!
- We agreed that we would just enjoy our place, and stay the whole time! Smart choice
- Met Johann and his girlfriend from Amsterdam who talked about how hard it was for young people in Amsterdam - very nice couple
- What a view from the infinity pool! Shower was a waterfall!
- Met Isla our host who told us all about the earthquake on Lombok - scary stuff!
- Amazing dinner - beef curry for Paish was incredible
- Lots of droneage!
- Breakfast in the pool! So funny
- Lots of Dad trying to hover over the pool - so funny!
- Noisy German girls
- Honeymoon couple who just stayed in their room with their own pool, and ordered flowers and breakfast
What we did:
- Took turns snorkelling on the kayaks - Paish went upstream, and so when I picked her up it was easy to drag her home, I went downstream, and Paish struggled big-time to pull me back to my kayak - so funny! It took forever!
- Dad got the best turtle go-pro shot ever!
- Our sunset boat was amazing! So beautiful, and we even managed a snorkel before it set! Very cool!
