2012-05-28 Melville Rose Garden, One Handed Cartwheel!

Aiysha: In netball we had the toughest game yet! They were such a good  team, but we did a lot of silly mistakes and passed the ball back to them too easily!  We finally lost 14-11, but Mummy and Daddy thought it was the best game I had ever played! I was tired, especially when I marked their tallest player, but it was so much fun!

After gym I went to Roisin's party, but was a bit late to Sizzler and missed the main meal, but had multiple desserts! Yummy!

On Sunday we went to Melville Rose Garden, which was a bit of a drive, but was really cool. It had a French Garden, and me a Clara played so many games, and the food was lovely!

I am so proud of Roxy's one handed cartwheel!

Clara: I can do a one handed cartwheel! I was so proud of myself. Aiysha saw I could do a really good normal cartwheel, and just asked me to do a one handed one, and I did it!

On Sunday night we played basketball shots in dark - I got so many in, and it was so much fun! I was shooting in the big kids baskets too. I can't wait to play proper netball.

C: Roses, lots of them. We bought 2 to plant up on top terrace. Roxy's one handed cartwheels are amazing!

S: Seed pods, lots of them :-( What a cartwheel! We're gonna get a video of it soon!

2012-05-21 Beach in Winter

Aiysha: Finally finished my Naplan. Did okay in writing, and maths, but was very unsure about reading / comprehension. I am glad it is over.

What a busy weekend!

It all started at the disco, where I poured a drink over Jason Sweeney, but had a funny time. Lauren came back for a sleep over, and we played on the computer and watched TV while we ate our McDonalds - wow, I cannot even remember when we last had a Maccas!

At netball, I played my favourite 3 positions - C, WA, GA. Grandma will know what they all mean! We did really well, and won 19-7. We were 7-0 up at half time, and they came back at the end, so was a bit nervous watching from the side. Apparently we may be moving up a division soon. I hope so.

At gym I did my no-handed cartwheel, which I was so proud of!

I was so tired on Saturday night, but Asha (the girl who lives in the next street through the jitty) still came round, and we played on the computer. She's nice. She even noticed our new lounge, and was very complimentary about it.

Daddy made a special noodle dinner which looked just like a Masterchef dish! It was really nice, but a bit spicy! We ate it while we watched Masterchef, which was funny!

On Sunday, I went round to Asha's place for the morning, and Mummy, Clara and Daddy came round to pick me up, and stayed for ages too!

In the afternoon, we went to the beach, which was lovely and warm, but a little windy. We all practiced catching and then I practiced my backsaults with Daddy. 2 different people came up to us and game me compliments - one was an ex gymnast - I was so proud.

What a fun weekend!

Clara: I loved the Disco! I love dressing up, and I love the loud music!

On Saturday, Mummy and I went to watch Aiysha's netball for a little, then Mummy took me to Oceane's party at Scenic park! There were 2 parties going on, one for her sister aswell, so there were loads of people! Daddy and Aiysha came later, and they were eating ice creams! NOT FAIR! We had lovely cakes from Sugar and Spice, and when we left, Mummy got me an ice cream - yeah, FAIR!

I did some great catching at the beach - I was very proud! I love it!

C: Pork Belly, Masterchef noodles - yummy!

S: Tennis, body boarding with wetsuit - amazing how we can still do the beach in winter! Love it!

2012-05-14 Lauren Mitchell & Mothers Day

Aiysha: Had our second game at netball, and a nasty girl marked me - she kept on trying to trip me over, push me, and elbow me. I was very upset, and I could not understand why the referees didn't say anything to her. She kept on making nasty comments to me whenever I shot a goal. She was not a good player, and I made sure I shot every goal! I showed her!

In the afternoon, we had a special gym session in the City foreshore where Lauren Mitchell, the Olympic gold medalist on floor, was there to perform and speak to us. We also had rotations with extra exercises. The weather was fantastic, but was almost too hot. I got their signatures, and also got my picture taken with Lauren. What a great day!

We went to Northbridge to have an Italian dinner - we had pizza, surprise, surprise.

Naplan week this week...hope I have done enough.

Clara: On Sunday, it was Mothers Day! We had pancakes, had a lovely morning. We got Mummy lots of lovely bath stuff, even some exploding balls, and made sure she had a bath. It was really funny! We also went to see the movie Mirror Mirror in the afternoon - we don't go often, but is nice when we do!

C: I had a lovely Mother's Day bath! So relaxing when I turned the spa on!

S: Amazing weather this Autumn! Feels like summer!

2012-05-10 My First Merit Certificate + Netball Starts

Clara: Well, I get to go first because I got my first Merit Certificate today in our first assembly! I felt so proud, and I got a picture of me sent home aswell! I am so proud. I can't wait to get more! I am just sad that Mummy did not get to see, but Daddy sent her a picture.

Georgia came over for a play - she laughs so much! It was also Claire's birthday! It was a fairy party, and a fairy came over and did lots of games and fairy stuff with us! I loved it!

Ariel came for another play, which was nice.

Aiysha: The Choir performed in the assembly when Clara got her certificate. It was funny! Daddy came to watch, and saw us both perform. I was a proud sister.

I had my interview at Mater Dei, and Mummy said I spoke really well, and I said more than the other kids. I didn't know anyone in my group, but the next group had everyone from Edgewater in it!

Kiera came for a sleep over, and Kiera and Yasmin came for a play and we did some crazy gymnastics on our lawn. We went for a big walk / scooter / bike down to Hillaries which was really funny!

We had our first Netball game of the season, and I played GD and WD, which are not my favourite. We won first game quite easily.

Mummy and Daddy took 5 of us to an evening game at Joondalup Arena - it was great to see how the grown up girls play. It was pretty rough.

C: I am sad not to have seen Clara get her first certificate.

S: Technical issue with the home network - finally got a repeater. Very proud seeing Clara and Aiysha in assembly! Well done girls!

2012-04-30 Mummy's Birthday Weekend!

Aiysha: We did loads for Mummy, and we planned it so well!

On Friday, after Mummy went to work, we hit little packets everywhere with 5 dollars in them for Mummy to do a treasure hunt. When she came home, she found them all - but had a little trouble with the last one. She opened her card and we opened a few pressies. On Saturday, Mummy had to take her money with her when we took her to Harbour Town to shop - she loved it! Clara and I bought some trainers too and I also got a netball. It was so much fun, and we sat and had a cake there. Reminded us a little of shopping in England, but not as cold.

On Sunday, we took Mummy to the Reptile Park (Clara held everything - she was so brave. I didn't) - she guessed that is where we were taking her, and she thought that was her surprise. However, after, we were getting Mummy to find a place to eat, and we pulled in to Elmars - Mummy always wanted to go there! She was very happy, even thought it was raining really hard! There was a strange wombat in the reptile park. If kept on digging at, er, nothing...

After, we went to a riverside cafe and had some lovely cake, and then walked along the river for ages. It was so much fun.

We had a lovely Anzac Day - we went to Kings Park's new nature park. Roxy and I made boats and did loads of exploring!

Back at school. Boo. Naplan.

Last weekend I stayed over at Hannah's - we did lots of skateboarding, and I taught Clara how to do it. It was funny! We also went to the new Rio Tinto adventure park in Kings Park!

Clara: I loved Mummy's birthday - it was so much fun! I loved hiding the money packets, I loved shopping, I loved holding the snakes and lizards in the reptile park, and I loved the cake!

We made Mummy feel so special!

C: I loved my birthday! So many surprises all weekend! Thanks girls, and Doodis. Very different to last years party!

S: It was such a funny weekend! Happy Birthday!

2012-04-12 New Lounge!

Aiysha: I went over to the Faro's twice over the holidays - once I met Tracy in the shopping centre, helped Tracy shop, and then went home with her! Funny!

Also had Lauren and Asha over several times for a play. Asha bought her dog Cody round for a play, which was nice. Unfortunately, Hannah Geneve could not make it, but hope to arrange a date with her soon!

I lost at Monopoly again, but I am pretty good at Rummikub! Roxy always wins Monopoly :-(

Clara: Ariel and Bossett hounds came for a play on 2 separate days! I love people coming over to play! It was Ariel's first play at ours, I hope she enjoyed it.

We met Daddy for lunch at his work, and we ate down by the river! I wish we could do it more often. I got my lion back off Sahi when I went into Daddy's work, and I also met his boss Tony!

C: Our new lounge - looks amazing!

S: We got a new new tablet, and went to see Western Force vs Warratahs - we lost, of course. Tried to send Dave a picture, but he is still in the 80s. Took the girls to dim sum, but I think I ate most of it :-( Maybe one day...

2012-04-14 The Maze, Roxy's Back Walkover!

Aiysha: Mullaloo beach in autumn is amazing! There is a sand bar which we walk out to and play games, like trying to get Daddy in, but we haven't been able to do that yet! The council have also built a new new lookout so Roxy and I love going up to and doing gymnastics!

We did a massive tidy of the games room, and it is unrecognisable now! It is so empty, and we can actually do gymnastics in there now.

Mummy and Daddy are in the middle of renovating the lounge, and it looks different. Mummy has done most of the work - she's done well!

Went to Martina's party, which was a sleepover with Kiera, Yasmin, and Hannah. It was good fun, and I got to splat Dad with a water bomb when he dropped me off. The next day we went to another party at Di's - we thought the pool was going to be too cold, but we went into the hot spa and just had to cool off - it was really funny, and Roxy and I played on the trampoline all afternoon too!

Last Sunday we went to The Maze - it was really funny, and they had about 4 different mazes, which we had a go at. Daddy and I finally did the big wooden one, which was really funny. We also had a quiz to do - we had to find numbers around The Maze using clues - some we had real trouble finding, especially the one on the frisbee course.

We had our school swimming, and I jumped from Level 9 to Level 11! I was so proud, and Mummy and Daddy came to watch me!

We also went to the Swan Valley, had a lovely lunch in a Winery, went to the chocolate factory for erm, chocolate and cakes, and we also went to a museum - we had the whole place to ourselves, it was pretty spooky! Got some great pictures though!

Clara: Daddy came into school for our Easter day, and he had to dance, help out with activities and stay for fruit. It was really funny. I also got free stuff from Officeworks! Wow!

Over Easter we went down to Fremantle - Mummy thought there was a street carnival there, but it was actually the following day - silly Mummy. It was still good fun though - we got to have fish and chips at Joe's Fish Shack (we took a photo of Little Creatures for Auntie Lizzie), some ice cream (and waffle), and walked around the Fremantle. At one point, we came across the two pink aliens - one of them climbed onto Daddy and he walked around with him on his back, and Aiysha and I got a bit upset. Mummy thought it was funny, and so did a lot of people.

I went to Georgia's party too - we had a bouncy castle, tranpoline, won musical bobs. I love parties!

Claire and Georgia also came for a play in our pool!

Aiysha's taught me how to do a back walkover (with her help)! I am so proud! I am so thankful to Aiysha I bought her a new top! Thank you Aiysha!

C: Our lounge is so close - just the floors. How could I get the street party day wrong! Doh!

S: Computer Crash - oh dear. Went with James to see Western Force lose to Warratahs 23-18, lovely noodles at What The Pho!

2012-03-27 Nick, Harmony, Triathlon, Writing

Aiysha: Nick came over from the UK to Australia, and had to come to Perth for a few days with his work, so he came to stay with us! It was great fun, and great to see him, even though it was a little wierd seeing him without his green trousers! We went to Botanical Golf with him, and had some lovely dinners with him. We kept on taking pictures to send back to Lizzie! Funny!

I finally had my Triathlon - I really enjoyed it, and I managed to complete it without stopping. We did it at Hillary's, and we swam for 200m, did a bike ride for about 2km and ran 500m bike. It felt tough at the time, but really glad I did it, and I do fancy doing another one! After, we went to see who won the lucky draw, and I won a bike! It was a little small, so I decided to give it to Roxy. We gave Lauren and Carolyn and her friend a lift home as they parked where all the athletes were.

We had a Harmony Day, and as part of the choir I had to sing in the assembly - I didn't mind, but there was one footy song I really did not like! I also did a little reading about the Harmony Day that I didn't expect at all. Mummy and Daddy came to see me!

Roxy: I won a prize for my neat writing from Mrs Tombs! I was so proud!

C: I've started with the lounge - it is going to look amazing!

S: So proud of Aiysha!
