2015-07-19 Great Netball Win, Kings Park!

Clara: We won our 3rd game of the season against a team who has not lost all season! It was 16-6, so we smashed them! I didn't get a chance to play attack, but everyone else shot really well. We were very happy!

When we dropped Aiysha to watch a gym comp with her friends, Daddy and I went to Kings Park just for fun. We played tree golf, hide and seek, guess the occupation and some gym work! It was fun!

Aiysha: Went to watch the girls gym comp, then an international gym comp in the evening. It was fun!

C: Great game Roxy! Well done! End of school holidays now...booo!

S: Lost at Connect 4 badly to Aiysha. Not happy.

2015-07-17 Tilly M'Tilly, Ferguson Valley, School Holidays

Clara: Matilda came over to visit us from Adelaide, and it was great! She even had a sleep over! We played a bit of netball to start with, then Mummy took us rollerblading. After rollerblading, we went to my Rebels netball training and Matilda joined in. A Dad from the other team marked Matilda, and promised he would not intercept the ball - he didn't keep his promise!

We came back and made pizza's for dinner which were lovely! At bedtime we kept on running around, and we had a big pileup on the couch on top of Daddy! It was funny! We fell asleep around 10.30pm.

We woke up and watched a bit of TV, then did a dance routine with acro. We showed the Mums, then Matilda had to go. I was a bit sad, but it was great to see her!

We then had to go for our injections for Vietnam, which made all our arms ache! Daddy managed to miss it - he was scared! After that we went to Storm to get Aiysha's gym outfit - she got 3 leotards! Wowzer!

Aiysha: I got 3 amazing leotards at Storm - thanks guys for my birthday present!

We went for 2 nights to Ferguson Valley - it was a lot of fun! Our house was very basic and old, but it had a fire. It even had a toilet outside! Brrrrrrrr! The first night we didn't realise all the windows were open, and it was soooooo cold!

Daddy went for a run the first morning, and Clara and I went for a run in the evening Daddy saw some kangaroos, and we saw a wild echidna! It was awesome! We even took a picture!

We played two board games while we were away - Family Feud, and we learned how to play Risk on the original board. It was really funny, and Clara ended up killing everyone!

Daddy almost fell in a waterfall - was funny and scary at the same time! He had trouble getting back over to us too, and had to climb a lot of rocks to get back.

We went for lunch at a winery one day, and they had a super cool dog who joined in with all out piggy in the middle games! He even rescued the ball once when it went down towards the river!

C: Had a lovely evening out at Linda's - Caroline, the boys, and the Shepherds were there and it was great to see them.

S: I cannot believe I found the original Risk board! I can't believe that Clara won the very first game too! Very disappointed.

2015-07-09 Reports! End of Term!

Clara: I think I got a pretty good report this term! I was really pleased with the comments.

Daddy took Aiysha and I climbing this week - Aiysha was not bad considering she hadn't done it for a while, and got to level 18. I got to level 16, one level above the last time I climbed - I was so pleased! We also climbed on the new wall where we didn't need ropes - I got to my targets, but Aiysha did not :-)

Aiysha: We won first netball game this week! We celebrated like we had won the league - it was such a relief, and we were sooo happy!

I don't like tidying....anything!

C: It got down to 1 degree today! Brrrrrrr! Get the fire going! We tidied rooms and the games room, much to the disgust of Aiysha!

Went for a little walk along the river in the Swan Valley

S: Had a dreadful game this week at basketball - lost by 40 points. The were just too good!

Dad ended up in hospital this week with a heart attack - will see how it goes.

2015-06-27 We made history! I am a teenager!

Clara: Amazing - we made history by winning the Interschool cross country! It was such an amazing feeling, and when we realised, the whole school went crazy! When we arrived back, the whole school was out of class celebrating on the lawn with musical instruments and everything! Mr Gray rang Daddy especially to tell him - Daddy could not believe it!

It was a good day for everyone at Edgewater.

In other news, I ran a really good race and came second to someone who does little athletics, and our year came first! We got a trophy, and our picture got put in the school newsletter.

We tried a new fish an chips place along the coast - apparently one of the best in WA! It was nice though :-)

Aiysha: I had my party at bounce - I invited Casey, Clara, Aaliyah, Violana and Sophie (who came later). Bounce was great fun, although we didn't do too well on the dodge ball. Us big girls then went to Hillary's for dinner where we tried to chat to a good looking guy at Boost! Rejected!

We came back for a sleepover in the games room, and finally got to sleep at around 12am. Not bad, but it was great fun!

A couple of weeks ago, we went to watch Casey at her Karate grading - she was doing it with a dislocated elbow, but she was so brave she got through it all, and managed it! Well done Casey! Don't think I would like to do it though...scary stuff!

C: Great party, great bunch of girls!

S: I'm not great at dodge ball :-(

2015-06-13 Back To The Sediment, The Most Exciting Race Ever!

C: We had our faction cross country carnival on Thursday, and I was so nervous as there are so many good runners! Everyone started so fast, and I tried hard to keep up by staying around 5th, and eventually I managed to get into 1st place and stay there. By the second lap though I was really tired, and I noticed Bridie and Aiva started catching me up. I had about 200m to go, and I was running down the hill, and at the bottom for some reason I tripped and fell over! Bridie overtook me, and I quickly got to my feet but I was about 10 metres behind, I tried to hard to catch up, and with about 50m to go I managed to pull up along side her and overtake her in the last 20m, and won the race - phew! I was sooooooo tired I could hardly stand up. Bridie ran an excellent race though, and really surprised me. It was a great race, and so exciting!

A: Last week I had to do an assignment about The Rock Cycle. We were suppose to write a song to music describing the rock cycle and the conservation of energy. Last weekend I found it so hard, and didn't know how I was going to do it. However, Dad wanted to make a song, so I chose rap. We started with a tempo and some beats, then we came up with some lyrics about rocks, divided the lyrics into sedimentary, igneous and metamorphic, and mixed it all in with some singing from me and Roxy. It actually turned out to be really fun. We then started thinking of ideas for the video, and they started to be really funny.

Had my second game at netball - I played centre for 2 quarters. It was fun for the first quarter, but my back started hurting in the second quarter. We lost 44-29, it was okay, but a pretty frustrating game.

I went to the TACT dinner last week, and it was fun.

I went to see Casey's grading on Sunday and went out Saturday night for dinner with Indy and Kiera.

C: I got offered a permanent position! Wahoo! I can't believe it!

S: What a race! It was amazing! Well done Rocky Roo!

2015-06-03 TACT Netball Tournament!

Aiysha: Last weekend was a long weekend because of Foundation Day. I finally managed to get my back feeling good enough to try a game of Netball. I went to practice last Monday, and Stephanie told me to take it easy, but actually I decided to play all the games! Amazingly my back was okay the next day even though it was tired that evening. I was so excited to be able to play.

On the Saturday, we had 2 games, and we won both of them. I played one half of the first game, and decided not to play the second game as it looked pretty intense and I felt my back. I didn't feel it on Sunday though, and felt great. We had 3 games - we lost the first one, just, won the last one, and only just lost the second one. I played the first and second game

On Monday, I went on for the whole game as GS, and really enjoyed it! Me and Georgia played really well.

Our team was: Georgia (C), Hayley (GS), Tipania, Tenae, Kimberley, Sienna, Zoe, Mckenzie, Caitlyn and myself. It was such a great team to be a part of, and my coach Karolyn was brilliant!

Clara: We did lots of shooting practice at Aiysha's tournament, and I ended up beating Daddy at all the shooting games!

S: No you didn't! Awesome games Paishy! Well done!

C: Yes she did! You played so well Paish! Proud of you!

2015-05-17 Mothers Day + My Netball Games + Book for Daddy!

Aiysha: Last weekend we celebrated Mothers Day by taking Mummy back to the Swan Valley to play Supa Golf! It was really funny, as it seemed like it was on a real golf course, and we had big clubs and big balls, and we could hit the balls as far as we could! It was really funny, as we were not actually that good, and our balls sometimes ended up on other holes, and almost hitting someone! We all had fun though, and it was a lovely day. Roxy won it, followed by Daddy, Aiysha and Mummy.

We have Mummy presents in the morning. We got her some flowers, a plant to grow herself, some lovely body lotion and Clara made her a card!

Clara: I have really enjoyed playing netball in my new team! We have had three games already and only won one, but it has been really good fun.

We had such fun on Mothers Day, and I really enjoyed the ice cream afterwards :-)

I spent all week creating a book for Daddy ready to present to him. I did it all on his computer, and he loved it!

C: Winter is here, big time! We have had some crazy storms this weekend, and we have had our first fires! Brrrrr....

S: Clara wrote me the loveliest book about me and presented it with a couple of pictures - it was brilliant! Thank you Clara! You are awesome!

2015-05-08 Bush Walk

We went for a picnic and bush walk at Walyunga National Park near Bullsbrook. We had a lovely picnic and played a funny game throwing a ball on the roof of the picnic area and catching it. It got stuck a few times though. We went for a walk along the river, which was lovely, and we spotted some kangaroos. We got to listen to our audiobook though, which was fun.

2015-05-02 My First Netball Game, House Carnival & States

Aiysha: Last week I injured my back - funnily enough the same as Daddy, and we've been seeing a physio, but unfortunately I injured it again the day before States at the house comp. I won my sprint though that I have been training all year for! The relay injured my back again, and I was pretty sad about that.

At States my back really hurt, and I was so disappointed. I ended up only doing bars, but is the first comp I have done with a giant and really proud of the score considering my pain!

Clara: I had my first netball game for Wanneroo Rebels today! We won 8-4 and was really fun! I had so much fun, and I think we have a pretty cool team. It was nice to play with Aaliyah too!

C: Well done Paish considering your injury - you will come back stronger!

S: Amazing race Aiysh, and great bars! You have time to recover and get it sorted for netball and the next comp.
