2021-12-25 What an awesome Christmas! The Spot in Yanchep! Brothers Fitness!

Before Christmas, Mummy and Daddy went to see Spiderman No Way Home which was good, and Paish went to see it with Jackson (not Connor!). Rox missed out :-( We did go for Boulevard Pizza on the 23rd though! That was yummy, but a bit windy on City Beach.

We had the most intense fitness session at Brothers - unfortunately Paish missed it as she wasn't too well, but I loved it. Dad did a 5km while I did my fitness too!

We had such a funny Christmas! We did some deliveries on Christmas Eve after everyone was back from work, and we had a very Japanese dinner - sashimi, beef tataki, and pork belly, and then chicken katsu curry!

On Christmas Day, we had a leisurely mango pancakes, then headed out to Yanchep after we opened our stockings presents. It was 43 degrees, so we decided against Lancelin. We also realised out air conditioner broke during the night - what are the chances!

We didn't quite know what we going to do in Yanchep. We didn't take Baskie, so we decided to drive up the coast a little to a surfing beach called The Spot, and it was empty apart from one man! It was so cool, and the waves were so fun - we decided to bring Dad's foamy up and the paddle board. We all had some time surfing. Rox and Mummy went out into deep water and saw some stingrays. We also saw 2 dolphins swimming by! Rox and Paish tried to do some surfing on the paddle board which was so funny!

Came home for a swim with Baskie and catchy, then had our roast early! Yummy! Rox and Paish then challenged Mummy and Daddy to charades, thinking they were going to smash them! Unfortunately for them, they lost by one point, again! The trophy remains with the parentals!

2021-12-14 Pre Drinks, Pinneroo, Windsurfing, BAGDAD Rosalie Night Out

 

Paish: We had pre-drinks at our place before we went out to our Ice Cream Factory / Coconut Grove event just before Christmas, which was lots of fun - we played a short game of Beer Pong, but spent most the time taking photos as usual. Jenna came back home early on our night out, and I got in at 5am, and had to start work at 11am - that was hard!

Rox: The Wingfoils look so cool. I had a chat to a few people, and I am excited to see if we can do it! That would be the perfect Christmas present. I hope Paish wants to do it!

C: Lovely walk on Pinneroo with Baskie!

S: Last game of touch, which we lost, but the ground we played on was sooo bad! Had our first state 40's training too which was fun.

Went out for the annual BAGDAD night out with the Rosalie boys, and it was so funny! I expected to leave early, but when I looked at my watch, it was 10.30! Left at around 11ish. Chatted to Spence, Sid, GT and Alfie mostly. Very interesting.

My windsurfing season has started finally! I even went to the river with Rox, and we saw some Wingfoilers on the river when the wind dropped - looked like fun, so think we'll do some lessons at Christmas!

2021-12-07 Dune, BF Christmas Night Out, Surfing in Lancelin

Paish: We finally managed to book out Father-Daughter time away in Lancelin, it was a hot day, and we arrived after 12, and I loved driving on the beach! However, I did not enjoy the flies, and they kept on biting me! We tried a couple of a couple of different spots, and Dad surfed the whole time just to get away from the flies! It was lots of fun though, and there was no one there.

Rox: I loved Dune! I definitely surpassed my expectations, and it was sooo cool. I loved it, and definitely a movie I will see again.

S: Dune was incredible. I SMS'd Dave "Disappointing", and he panicked - funny!

Had our BF night out to our dumpling place, and the The Last Duel outdoor cinema which was very funny. A very amusing night out!

C: I really enjoyed Dune. We also went for Dim Sum again which was lovely!

2021-12-05 We won Beach Touch, Draw with Amazons, Mater Dei Awards Evening!

 

Paish: I had so much fun at the beach touch tournament - last year we won division 2, and we thought we'd have a go at division 1 this year, and we won every game going into the semi's! In the semi final, we played the brothers team, and it went into a drop off. Each team scored first, then I found myself on defence, and worked out that if I pressured the guy, he would pass it, and I would look to touch the girl or knock it down. When I knocked it down, the crowd went nuts, and I tried to sub, but stayed on to receive the pass from Caleb and scored to win the game - it was such an exciting moment! In the final, we were 8-4 down and we managed to claw ourselves back to win 13-12! What a game! We got prize money of $1500, and a slab of beers. Lesh-gooo! No trip to Broome though.

Rox: I got an award for Outdoor Education this year which was cool. I was hoping for the sports award, but it wasn't to be.

S: What an amazing tournament - much better that I thought it was going to be, and your team played amazing to beat 3 time champions, and coming back from 8-4 down!

Well done on you Outdoor Ed award, although I thought you deserved a little more...

2021-11-28 u14 Junior State Champs, Harmony 9s MVP

Paish: I got Harmony 9's MVP - Yay!

I also got a certificate from Kmart for 5 years service - er, yay!

Rox: Junior States was so much fun! We pretty much smashed every team which was unfortunate. We played Peel in the final, and beat them pretty convincingly. It was a very hot weekend!

C: A bird was born in one of our hanging baskets - cute!

S: Amazing states tournament, and Brothers u17 mixed won even though they had the captain sent off - it was so exciting!

2021-11-21 u17 Trials, Super Series Finals, Dim Sum

Rox: I love Dim Sum! What a reward for going to the u17 Trials! I wasn't sure how I did, but when I managed to get on my team was pretty much everyone I have played with before apart from one person. Unfortunately, I didn't make it through, but I didn't expect to as there are older girls who deserve it more. I will have to wait my turn, but it was a great experience, and very special being the only one in my age group too!

Paish: We qualified for Super Series final, and played Freo in the semi. We had such an opportunity to win it, but unfortunately we lacked Clara in defence and let a few easy ones through. We only lost by one in the end, which was such a shame. They won the final by beating Rosalie by one. We'll get them in states!

C: Amazing job Rox, and well done Paish - you both played so well!

S: Another crazy weekend! All done girls for an amazing weekend!

2021-10-31 Harmony 9s, Hakuna Matata Summer Season

Paish: It was my second Harmony 9s Rugby League tournament, and although I wasn't playing for the same team as last year, I was so happy to be playing with the Samoa team with Pare and Sara! Reuben and Tamika were on our team too which was great. We did so well on the first day, but unfortunately Reuben broke her arm! I was not nice and she had to be taken to hospital. We managed to get to the semi-finals on the second day which we lost to the eventual winners. We played them in the first round game and almost won. With all our injuries though, we didn't have much of a chance. It was a great weekend though, and I also got selected for the All Stars team second year running! It was so much fun though!

S: You played amazing Paish! Well deserved awards!

Rox: Look Steve, I did move with the ice cream line!

2021-10-17 We're Home, Super Series, Hamersley Wind Up, Spring Season Starts in Rain

Rox: Arrived home from an awesome holiday!

We had our Hammersley Wind Up, and it was lots of fun. Everyone looked so different dressed up! I got the coaches award, which was really nice!

Great to keep playing with my team in Spring Netball, even in the rain!

Nervous but excited to be playing Super Series Open Women's at Brothers this year! Let's see how I go! We won the first games against Northern and Tompkins though, which is a good start.

Paish: Excited for touch this year! We should be a much better team this year for States if we do things right!

S: Excited for touch starting!

C: Hmmm, sport seems to ramping up when it is meant to be the off season! Good fun though!

2021-10-14 See you back in Perth Paish! We're in Kalbarri

We had our last walk at Shark Bay with Paish before she got her flight (through a dodgy website) back to Perth to go to her end of year dinner at Wanneroo - she got Best Back! It was a lovely walk through shallows, and then we headed off to Kalbarri.

We took evening walks with Callie on the nearest town beach which was a bit muddy, but Callie loved it. Roxy and Daddy played a variation of catchy
