We finally set off to Denham / Shark Bay! Pretty easy 4 hour drive - long trips were not so bad now! We had a light breakfast of cereal, the off we went! Drives always seem to take longer than we expect. We got to Denham in the afternoon. Our house pretty cool, next to an empty lot with lots of rabbits there. It was fairly basic, but quaint.
In the night we went on the town pier to see if we could see anything, and just off the side we saw a huge stingray! It was pretty cool. It was sooooo windy though!
We went for a 6km run in the morning which was pretty hard against the wind, but we were pretty glad we did it.
We spent half a day at Little Lagoon which was lovely. Daddy was frustrated as there was loads of wind and only ONE windsurfer having an amazing surf on the flat lake! Roxy and Mummy took the paddle board out, and Baskie loved running in and out of the water chasing balls!
The highlight of the stay was our 4WD track up to Skipjack Point. We had to choose whether we were going to go on a catamaran or go for a drive. We decided a drive would be very exciting and a bit risky, so we did that! It did not disappoint, and Daddy had the lucky job of driving us all the way up. Its was crazy, and super fun! The track was pretty much soft sand the whole way, and at times we were bouncing up and down like we were out at sea! When we got there, the view was incredible, and we saw soooo many animals - sharks, sting rays, dolphins, turtles, birds - it was amazing, and not many people there at all! Paish drove us back, and on the way back we had to stop and wait for someone who was bogged to get their trailer out - doh! What a day!
