2009-05-26 Cockman House and Mummy Helper

Aiysha: I cannot believe Mummy and Daddy have been helpers two weeks in a row! I am so happy! Mummy came in with Danielle's Mum, and we had such a funny time! I know Mummy is working so hard on her course, but it is so nice she finds time to come in to my class! She deserves a smiley!

A couple of weeks ago, Mummy suggested we went to Cockman House on Ocean Reef Road. It was really interesting and old, and no one was there apart from the people who told us all the history! The house was very strange, and had baths and toilets outside! They were also growing lots of vegetables outside, and we went to look at them! Mummy and Daddy had a bet about a corgette, marrow or a pumpkin. Daddy was right about it being a pumpkin.

We also went for a country walk after, and Daddy and I ended up throwing Marri seeds at each other! That was funny!

Clara got a book about a Bear Hunt, and after we read it about 3 times, she knew it and could read it herself! She is a very clever girl!

Clogger: I love the Bear Hunt book! I read it to Daddy too when he came in from work! I have had a few sulks recently, but whenever I do, I always smile. I must not smile, otherwise the others will not take me seriously!

C: I loved Cockman House! So peaceful and old.

S: Winter is upon us, and fire is a begging...

2009-05-18 Daddy Helper and A Fishy Affair!

Aiysha: What a funny week we had this week, and a lovely weekend! Last night we all went out for dinner at 'A Fishy Affair' in Northbridge, and Clogger and I had 2 plates of fish and chips - it was sooooo yummy! It was dark when we came out, and we decided to go running around in the park in Northbridge! Mummy showed me how to do arab springs, and she tried to catch me but I was too fast - Daddy was laughing! Daddy also took some spooky pictures with the camera. Clog was laughing so much, and following me wherever I went - her socks got so dirty!

This week I got 3 certificates! One was from gym for best worker, one was for getting 100% for both the normal spelling test and extension words which Mummy and Daddy helped me on, and I collected most raffle tickets for doing good things when Mrs Todd was away, so I got a pink pen!

Daddy was Daddy helper on Wednesday, and it was fun! He was in charge of one of the groups - it was a shame that my group missed out on going to his activity, so I hardly got to spend time with him, but it was so nice to have him there. He was having a good laugh with everyone else though, and he stayed for recess, and I sat with him and loads of other kids came over to talk with us. It was funny!

Clogger Rockstar: I love going out to dinner! I ate so many chips, and even drank a little coke! Running around in the dark with Pieshe was the best! She makes me laugh so much, and she looked after me so well!

C: We lost daylight saving! We are all sad about it, but I'm sure it will not be so bad. Maybe we'll actually use our outdoor Christmas lights now! Dinner out was lovely, and I got to relax for the first time in ages! Steve and I could not believe how grown up Aiysha looks now - really quite scary! We are so proud of her.

S: Daddy helper was absolutely brilliant! Aiysha has such a great class, and I got to know all of their names. They were a funny bunch, and I can't wait to do it again. Shame I didn't get to do activities with Aiysha's group, but maybe next time.

Real shame about daylight saving. We'll just have to have more night time swims now - what a shame...

2009-05-05 Summer is over...

Aiysha: Even though I didn't see any friends this weekend, we did a lot of funny things! I told Daddy about this water fight game I invented, and asked him if he would play it - and he DID! It was so funny, and we got so wet. We played it on the lawn while Mummy and Clogger were sleeping, and we got all the pistols from the pool area, and we just attacked each other. We had to refill in and area I called 'No mans land', which was funny! I hid behind a house, and Daddy hid behind the sandpit container.

On Saturday, Daddy took us for doughnuts and shopping which was nice. At gym I filled up my sticker page and got a prize! We have competitions soon, and I can't wait! After lunch, we all went to Heathcote Park above the river - it was so nice. We played catch, hiding, running races and catching a ball. On the way back, it was getting dark, but Daddy took us up Jacobs Ladder - I loved it, it had such a beautiful view!

On Sunday I had a tennis lesson while Mummy took Clog to the park. Mummy said I played really well, and I hit the ball very well. After our water fight, we went to Scenic Park where I made some friends and we played dodge ball with a boy. Clara kept on trying to keep up, and she did really well.

Clara: I love chasing Aiysha around! If I cannot see here, I start calling for her, and she comes and finds me! She looks after me so well, helping me climb up ladders, stairs, finding seats for me and helping me make friends! She is brilliant! I saw some ice on the grass in the park, and decided to stop chasing Aiysha and just play with the ice! I even put a cube in my mouth!

C: Aiysha is starting to hit the ball really well. It is probably time for her to play tennis with some other kids aswell as get training. We'll see. Clara is really brave, and is following Aiysha all over the place!

Clara is almost using the potty! Or is she just teasing us?

S: Amazing weather! Such a beautiful river! Blue skies, perfect temperature. Lovely.

2009-04-28 Lauren, Hanna and Mummy!

Aiysha:
What a funny month we have had! Firstly, Lauren came over for a play, and we all went down to Matilda Bay to hunt for jellies! It was so funny, and Lauren had never been down to Matilda Bay. We went on the jetties, and at one point Lauren lost a net. Some of the jellies were huge, and Clara loved looking after them! We all had an ice cream and cake too!

This weekend we invited Hanna over, and I was so excited that I could not wait! When she finally arrived, we were playing football with Luke on our lawn. It was so great to see her! It was like we never spent any time apart! We decided to Hillary's to do trampolining, and wherever we went, we did cart wheels! Hanna was very good at them, and did them very quick! We had so much fun doing them all over the place, and it didn't matter where! On Sunday, we went to Whiteman Park / Caversham Wildlife Park which Daddy organised through work. We had vouchers for refreshments, and we didn't have to pay anything to get in! It was so much fun seeing all the animals, doing cart wheels (again), and eating chips at the end of the day!

I also went to Olivia's birthday party at Neil Hawkins Park which was nice. No boys were there!

At Day Care we had so much fun. We went to loads of places including Wild Kids, Skate International, Perth Zoo and Joondalup Arena! They do take care of us! I love it there!

Mummy's birthday was on Monday, and it was a holiday! Daddy was very sneaky, and we planned to take Mummy out for breakfast to Sugar and Spice, and we were going to choose a birthday cake there, but it was closed! Oh no! We then went to Hillary's, and had breakfast there which Mummy loved, as she was starving. We then went for a play on the beach where I looked after some real toddlers, and then we went home. We managed a swim after Cloggers sleep, which was fun, and then we took Mummy to Ella Bache to relax while me, Daddy and Clogger hunted round for some trays for Mummy's present! We finally found some in Big W, and we were all so happy happy happy!

Mummy got two High Distinctions for her first two assignments for Uni. We are all soooo proud of her!

Clogger: I have my story now in Aiysha's room, drinking milk, patting Daddy on the head while Mummy reads us a story. I love it!

C: I loved my birthday! It was very funny from the moment we left the house for breakfast to the evening when I had all my lovely birthday wishes from everyone! Thank you!

S: Story time is my favourite part of the day - I can really relax...

2009-04-18 Cars, Roads & Rain

Aiysha: We had such a funny Easter! First of all, we had 4 days holiday, which was sooo cool! On Friday we went to Kings Park with Daddy, and Clogger sneaked across the road without us knowing! Daddy was very upset by this, and said that we must must must teach Rocker about roads and cars, and that should be our mission for the weekend! We had a funny time at the Synergy Park, and we also got an ice cream too!

On Saturday, Daddy took us to Scenic Park, but we stopped outside Luke's house to see if he could come, and he did! We played catch, had monkey bar competitions (which I managed to win), and played a shooting hoops game with Daddy.

On Sunday we went to the West Australian Reptile Center. It was amazing, and we were allowed to hold bobtail lizards, blue tongued lizards, pythons, and even pat some Dingos! It was brilliant, and we managed to get an ince cream too!

On Monday it rained for the first time in months! I loved it, and Daddy took us out for a walk. During our walk, I tried my hardest to teach Clog about roads and cars, and by the end of the walk, she was telling me about cars, and would not even walk if there was a car coming! Funny girl!

Joondalup Festival was excellent this year, and I went on almost all the rides with Rocker. There was a cool drum show on the main stage which we watched, and we met Martina at the end of it just before the floats went by. Daddy laughed at the floats so much, and was a bit cheeky.

At the second last assembly before the end of term, I got a certificate for my good work and spelling. Daddy surprised me, as I thought he had gone to work. Mummy also took us to the disco at the end of term, and Rocker loved it!

I had a sleep over at Martina's place for her birthday, and it was funny. That is the second sleepover I have had, as Hannah had one just a few weeks ago at her place. Daddy and Rocker kept on peeking over, and I fell asleep when I got home because I didn't get any sleep!

We went shopping today, and Clogger and I were pushing the trolley around and having a funny time. An old man kept on looking at us and laughing at us so much. Later on, the old man went up to Daddy, and said "You can't talk to children these days, it's such a shame", and he gave Rocker and I a chocolate and Daddy $3 to pay for it. He was such a sweet man, and we were all very surprised at his kindness.

After I got my report, I got to choose what we did for a day again! I love those days! I chose to go to mini golf at Leapfrog, and we stayed for pizzas too! That was soooo cool, and I spent the evening running around with other kids and Clogger aswell! She is starting to run loads now, which is sooo cool! I'm going to teach her to be as fast as me!

Clogger: I miss Pieshee when she goes for sleepovers. Luke is a funny boy though, and I like him.

C: Amazing how Aiysha's wetsuit fits Clogger now! We bought it for Aiysha when we moved to Australia. Clara is going to be a big girl.

S: The floats at Joondalup Festival were hilarious. Some had loads of people, some had one. Some were joyous, and some were not. Guess which ones I cheered on?

2009-03-14 Marie and Grey Furb

Aiysha:
Grandma and Grandpa took me out to the outdoor cinema at Hillarys to see Kiki The Nice Witch, but unfortunately I got scared and I didn't stay for that long. I loved looking around the shops though, and I spent my money on June Pearl and Soap! That was so much fun, and I got back really late.

Mummy also took me to Hanna Bananas birthday party at Challenge Stadium. It was a swimming party, so we didn't get to go to the gym. It was so nice to see Hanna again.

I went with everyone to the train museum. Grandpa Furby was really excited about all of the trains, and I was interested in them aswell when I started to look at all the trains.

Joy came to my school to be teacher helper, and I was so proud.

Daddy has his Touch Rugby State Finals at the end of February, and he won it! I watched him play 2 matches on the last day, and I saw him score a few tries. It was funny to see him play, and it was so hot!

Clogger: Grandpa Arthur makes me laugh so much, and Grandma Sue takes such good care of me. They are so funny in the pool, and they love playing with my babies. I can't wait to see them soon!

C: We had such a nice time with everyone being here! It was so relaxed, and it was great company!

S: Arthur and I never want to hear the words "Pool Solar Heating" for a long long time. Arthur was also employed at 17 Ridge Close as: Locksmith, gardener, driver, popper, entertainer, advisor, Bunnings representative

2009-02-14 Auntie Lizzie & My Birthday!

Aiysha:
Auntie Lizzie came to see us, and it was fantastic! She came for 2 weeks, and it was sooo noisy! She makes more noise than Clara, it was really funny!

We had sooo much fun in the pool, and we played so many games. Skipping, Ludo, Snakes & Ladders

When Grandma and Grandpa arrived, it was even more noisy! We all decided to go to Kings Park one day, and I went on the train with Auntie Lizzie all on my own! It was very exciting, and we had to meet everyone else when we got off the train to go to Kings Park. we had sucha nice time, and it was really hot!

One evening, Auntie Lizzie, Grandma and Grandpa took me out to Hillarys for fish and chips. I loved it, and I loved being out so late. While we were there there just happen to be an Abba concert, and I loved it! I love Abba, and I know all their songs so well.

Some nights, Auntie Lizzie slept in my room. We even got up for a midnight feast once! I loved it when Lizzie slept in my room! I also joined her sometimes in her bed in the lounge, and we would snuggle up together. That was so nice!

We did lots of trips to the beach, especialy Iluka, which was sooo nice.

Our dinner times were the funniest! Clara and I would pat everyone on the back, and we use to be so cheeky taking off the backs off the chairs. Our dinners took so long to eat as we all talked so much.

Auntie Lizzie cycled up to school with me a few times, which was funny! I was so proud when she came into school with me.

Clogger: It was so funny having Auntie Lizzie here for my birthday! We had a party on the day before my birthday, as she was not going to be here, It was so special, and it meant I could have 2 parties!

C: It was so nice when Lizzie came. We went to the Swan Valley one day, and also went to the Burswood Cinema to see Slumdog Millionaire, which was very funny.

S: So you like the sweet sauce chicken, eh?

2009-01-19 Hannah Banana, and Our Midnight Feast!

Aiysha:
I was so looking forward to Hannah coming over this weekend, and it was brilliant! She arrived on Saturday at about 2 O'clock. Daddy picked my up from gymnastics with Nick because they were looking at computers, and we went home, and had sausage sizzle before Hannah got here. It was a bit cloudy, but it did not stop us from going into the pool! We had such a funny time diving in and playing water fights, and doing hand stands at the bottom of the pool. We all then went to Hillary's for fish and chips - second week in a row! It was really funny. We looked at all the boats, and played I Spy while we were eating. We then went on the beach and played catch before we went home. Hannah and I stayed up a little to watch Bratz cartoons, and then we slept in the same room and had our lights on till late.

We had it all planned! We got all the food ready, and we were going to get up at midnight for our midnight feast! I fell asleep before Hannah, as she was awake when Daddy spied on us and caught Hannah awake. But she fell asleep too, so we didn't wake up! Boo! However, we did have some chocolate Kinder Surprise when we woke up in the morning, and we both got cars in the eggs.

We played Singstar on Saturday and Sunday, and it was so funny! I beat Hannah on Material Girl, but she's a good singer, and beat me at all the other songs.

We went in the pool again after, where Clara fell in while she was holding the hose. I rescued her by pulling her up from the bottom - Mummy was a bit scared, but Clogger was brave.

I was sad when Hannah had to go. I can't wait to see her again!

Last week at day care I went to the West Australian Reptile Park in the Swan Valley, and I held snakes, lizards and loads of other things! I love the Wombat!

At gym I was the only one to show Katie my strength practice sheet - even though I only have done 3 sessions with Daddy, at least I've done them.

Clara: Hannah gave me soooo many hugs, and said I was "so cute!". I really like her, and I gave her loads of hugs. She makes me laugh. I accidentally fell in the pool with no armbands because I wanted to spray the girls with the hose - it was a bit scary, but my Big Sister rescued me! She looks after me so well!

C: So nice to see Hannah again - they play so well together, and they really listen to each other. They are growing up really fast!

S: It almost rained for the first time in 6 weeks on Saturday and Sunday, but it didn't. On Sunday night there were loud thunderstorms, and a bit of rain. Oh well. The lake will suffer.
