2014-11-09 Star of the Week, Sleepover, Song Fest, Talent Squad, Yanchep

Clara: I was finally Star of the Week in my class, and I felt so special. People wrote some lovely things about me, and I had lots of special jobs I had to do throughout the week. It was great.

When we took Aiysha to Talent Squad at Challenge Stadium we went to City Beach to do loads of stuff! It was great fun! We started off playing boules, which I won, then we played a couple of games of cricket, which I won, and then we went for some cake, and came back and played more cricket, which I won again! Dad and I played poison ball, which I didn't win because he was a bully...

Last week we went to Song Fest which brought a lot of schools together and we all sung our songs. It was great, as we didn't have to go to school and we all had a special shirt to wear.

Martina and Claire came over for a sleepover too - we had a night swim, pizza's.

Aiysha: Had my Talent Squad on Sunday - I had been counting down the days it was going to be on, and it was pretty long. I really enjoyed it!

C: City Beach was lovely! A bit windy, but lovely. I also found out about my job for next year - I am still at Connolly - Yippee!

S: Lovely to be at City Beach again. Clara is a great cricket player! Seriously! Love going up to Yanchep for a walk - beautiful!

2014-10-31 Halloween, Aiva's / Matilda's Party, Open Evening, Netball Windup

Clara: Georgia and Aliyah came round for Halloween! It was great fun! We headed out just as it was going dark, and we started off to the right of our house. We then went up through the jitty towards Charlie's house, and then back down Ridge Close to Mrs Nivant. It was really good fun, and we got loads of sweets too! We didn't see too many people, and really the only other group of people we saw was Harry, his brothers and his Dad! We didn't even get many visitors, which was a shame because Dad put his spooky music on and we decorated the front door and mailbox. Oh well, I had fun :-)

I was invited to Aiva's rollerskating party - it was a double sleepover at her Mums and her Dads! Matilda came the party, and the next week Matilda had her sleepover Timezone party, and Aiva went to that one aswell! Craziness gone crazy!

Open Evening was really fun too, and we spent most of the time in my classroom, played a game and went round to see all our work.

Aiysha was a bit sneaky and wrote on Mr. Christman's white board. That Aiysha!

Aiysha: See if Mr Christman notices my little note...

We had the netball windup, and we went into another stretch limo! It was really funny, and we went back to Helen's house for food, dancing and chatting. It was a nice way to end the season.

C: Great work Clara!

S: Nice sweeties for Halloween! Funny night!

2014-10-19 Daddy's Birthday in Dunsborough!

We tried to keep this trip a secret from Daddy because of his birthday, but Tracey let it slip out when she brought her mice round. Doh!

We did so much in Dunsborough, it was great, and so exciting!

We stayed in Three Bears Cottage, and it was lovely! The rooms were amazing, and it was so nice to be able to cook dinner, chat and play some games at night time. We even explored the garden, which had a brook in it which we crossed using a fallen tree!

We saw Humpback whales off the coast every day - it was quite amazing. Apparently, there were 130,000 whales migrating, even Blue Whales!

Daddy took us to Wyadup to show us where him and Uncle Dave went swimming with a pod of dolphins, and when we got there, we saw them! It was so cool. There was a surfer who suddenly saw them, and he rushed out thinking it was a shark - it was funny for us, but scary for him! Canal Rocks was also lovely, and the sea was pretty wild there.

After taking Daddy whale watching on the boat, we also went kayaking along the coast, and it was beautiful! Roxy Roo went with Daddy round the huge rock! It was a better attempt than when Daddy tried to launch off the beach and almost fell in! Roxy and Daddy did fall in first time though, which was funny.

On one of our trips out, we had a picnic on a lookout over a beach, and then we went down and did gymnastics on the beach. It was really funny, and we got some great photos. We also had a picnic looking out from Yallingup and played eye spy while we ate some bacon bread from the local bakery - it was lovely. We had a lovely lunch at Eagle Bay Wineries, and also at Clancy's Fish bar. We cooked our own dinners on the BBQ and ate around the bench.

We discovered a new game called Wildlife, where we played a DVD and had to answer questions on the video - it was really bad, but really funny at the same time. It took us 3 nights to get through just one game! Mummy and Clara won, but it was a close one!

One of the coolest things we did was do archery when we were there - funny, because we were also listening to The Hunger Games - Catching Fire audio book, which was really good. We all loved the archery!

We did some lovely walks to see the Kangaroos on the plain above out property, and Daddy went out running, even though he had an injured calf.

We did stop off at the Miami Bakery on the way down and back up, but we didn't get to have any donuts either way - what a shame!

2014-09-21 My Birthday - Take 2, Interschool

Aiysha: My 2nd birthday was loads of fun! In case you forgot, my first one was cancelled because I had glandular fever :-(

It started off great with a morning at gym, and it was a really hot day - the hottest ever day in September recorded! Wow!

We spent the rest of the morning preparing, and the people started arriving at around 1pm. Casey, Lauren, Zoe, Maddie and Aiva came along to Bounce. The big girls went with Dad, and the littluns went with Mum.

Bounce was awesome - we played dodgeball, went on the tramp runway, and went on the tramps on the wall. It was great fun. Dad even got his backsault! Steady on Dad!

We then headed home, had some snacks, played a few games, and then we had the most hilarious water balloon fight. People kept on swapping sides, and some people got really wet - namely Casey, Daddy and Zoe!

Danni came round after, and then we all sat down for some dinner after played some charades. Time went past so quickly, and by the time we had the awesome ice cream cake, it was around 10pm! We had a few games of murder in the dark, which was so funny, and then we relaxed in the games room, and we all gradually fell asleep.

Pancakes in the morning! Everyone was so tired, but it was worth it. It was a really stormy day on Sunday - I loved it!

On Friday I had my Interschool athletics which I didn't really do much training for, apart from going out with Daddy and Roxy on Thursday. I really surprised myself and came 1st in Division 2 where I took someone else's place. We messed up the relay changeover, so came second last, but I am so proud, and going to definitely train for next year!

Clara: It was great having Aiva here for Aiysha's party. She said she felt so special. It was fun, and always relaxing when Aiva comes round. I wasn't too well on the Sunday though with a fever. Poor me!

C: Great summersaults Daddy, but not so great wall tramps :-)

S: I loved Bounce, but hard work! Can't wait to go again!

2014-09-14 State Champion! Weeding + Rugby!

Aiysha: I am so happy! I was soooo excited about taking part in the States, and I couldn't wait to get started!

The rotations I was really pleased about - vault, bars, beam and then floor, and I was not first on any apparatus. My vault started really well - 14.15. Then my bars I got 13.85 even though I messed up. I was so pleased about my beam as I didn't fall off - I got 13.25, and then for my floor I thought I did a really good routine, even though I took a couple of tiny steps, and got 13.95.

I got State Champion in the Seniors, and overall I got 4th in WA for level 5, only 0.6 points behind 1st place. My aim was to get into the Talent Squad, and I got chosen! I was so happy!

Clara: I was so proud of Aiysha! I love watching her perform, and I can't wait until she watches me do my dancing!

I went for a sleepover at Matilda's on Saturday night - we did some crazy stuff.

Aiysha and I also went for a bike ride around the lake with Lauren and Carolyn - we stopped off for ice creams at Leapfrogs, and then played chasey around Rotary Park. It was so much fun, but I was pooped!

C: We finally got rid of our TV we got for our wedding - 15 years old!

So proud of you Paishy! Fantastic comp!

S: I'm gonna miss that TV :-(

Awesome performance Paish! After everything you've been though! Well done.

Went to watch Australia beat South Africa in the last minute - went with Richard and Denis and Richard's friend Richard. Even though it poured down all day, it didn't rain during the game. Went for a chinese in Northbridge after - yummy!

2014-09-07 Father's Day, Dance Exam and Mulch!

Clara: Had my dance exam this week - I think I did okay, and Gail Meade came over to me to check in front of Daddy - he was very proud!

Mummy ordered some mulch from the Tree Amigos, and we spent a lot of hours moving it from the huge pile out the front to different areas of the garden.

Jan, our neighbour took the last lot, and Daddy helped her carry it to her place.

Aliya came for a play at ours too! It was so nice to have her around - she is funny!

Last week in school, Daddy had enough of Bryce smacking him, and took him to Mrs Bruce for her to tell him off - it was really funny, and he deserved it. He came up to Daddy after school and said sorry, and he hasn't done it since. Good job Dad!

Aiysha: For Daddy's day, we gave Daddy his cards in the morning, and he went for a run. We then made him pancakes which he absolutely loved!

In the afternoon, we walked to the train station, and took the train into the City to Arirang - it was really funny, as we hadn't been there for years - since a Fathers Day around 4 years ago! It was an interesting dinner where we cooked it ourselves, but it was fun. We did all prefer Daddy's Arirang chicken though.

C: What a funny day! Daddy really enjoyed it!

S: Thanks guys! Loads of laughs, and a lovely dinner!
