2010-07-05 I am 8!

Aiysha:
I am 8 years old! I do feel like a big girl, and I had my party at High Flyers! Again I invited Hannah Banana over for a sleepover, and it was so much fun! She is my best friend.

The football World Cup has started, and I get newspapers everyday from school to look up the teams that are playing and what groups they are in. Mr. D ordered them in for us. One newspaper pretty much fills up my bag!

I had the best birthday ever! I go so many Smiggles stuff (which I also gave to Clara), and I got loads of stuff from the family – Thank You all! I’ll be busy writing you all thank you notes, so watch out!

Hannah came round on the Saturday, and we went for the coldest game of golf at Leapfrog ever! It was freezing, and we were so late for our table. We all did pretty well though, and it felt like a true Winter’s day. We were back pretty late, and we got ready for bed, even though Hannah and I were so excited. Hannah slept on the floor again next to my bed, and we woke up the next morning with Clara to play DS and watch TV. What a cool birthday! We watched Trapped, which Hannah had not seen before.

We had loads of things to bring to High Flyers, and Daddy did a special CD of all the songs I have listened to in my life so far – it is a very good one! We played it all the way through my party, which was so cool. Katy was in charge of my party since Tony was not well. We did free play, trampolines, the parachute, and then more free play. It was so much fun, and I made sure that my sister did not miss out! I made sure I looked after her, and she had a great time. We then had our party food upstairs, and everyone sang happy birthday. I was so happy! When we got home, I started handing my presents from the party out for different people to open, so everyone was involved. It was great, and it wasn’t even my birthday yet!

Unfortunately, Beck came to pick Hannah up, and I will miss her! It was great to see her, and hopefully we will see each other soon. She may even join High Flyers…

The following Sunday, we decided to go up to Yanchep for an early morning walk – it was lovely! We walked right around the lake, played hide and seek, had some snacks, and Roxy and I played a trick on Mummy and Daddy – Roxy lost her pink fluffy jacket, and me and Roxy went to the office to find it, and when we walked down, I hid it behind my back, and Mummy got really worried, and I suddenly brought it out from behind my back, and laughed so much  Daddy is not the only one who can play tricks.

Roxy Roo: My sister and I are besties! She looks after me so much – at her party, when we go out. I can be a little mean to her, but I love her so much!

C: My holiday is almost over, and I will be starting my course at the end of July! Oh no!

S: I loved the walk around Yanchep park – the birds were amazing! Swarms of them!

2010-06-15 Sleepover and World Cup!

Aiysha:
Wow, I just had the best weekend! I cannot believe how much fun we had!

On Saturday, I was invited to Florry's party at Wild Kids. Clara also sneaked in, and we had a really funny time. We had a game of Cluedo during lunch, and I guessed 2 right, but Mummy guessed none! Daddy also had 2 right, so we both won. We then went to pick Joseph up from his house, and go and watch the sunset. We were a little late for the sunset, so we went in the dark, played catch, and looked at the most beautiful sky and the calm sea - it was really fun! We tried to play leapfrog, but when I tried to jump over Daddy, he fell over and my face went right into the sand - I was brave though.

We came back, and we had home made pizza and chicken wings, which I could not stop eating! They were so nice! Joseph did not like them that much, but had some garlic bread. We then stayed up late playing Crash Bandicoot and Club Penguin! It was so funny! Joseph slept on my floor, and we stayed up talking and laughing for ages - I wished time would slow down as I love having him around.

On Sunday, we work up extra early and played on my DS. Daddy watched Australia beat England at rugby, and then we had pancakes, which were yummy! We then planned to ride to Scenic Park, so Caroline brought round Joseph's bike, and we set off. Joseph and I were both pretty tired, but we still played catch when we got there. Also, I learned a new trick for gym - handstand straight into splitz without my feet touching ground! I am so proud. When we got back, we had some lunch, then Daddy then set up an obstacle course around Ridge Close, and Luke came round. That was fun. We then played Crash Bandicoot again. Joseph left at around 4, and I was absolutely exhausted! I lay on the couch, almost fallign asleep, but Daddy made Arthurs Beef, which was the nicest ever!

Last week we went to celebrate my Gym Badge Test at the nicest Italian place called Lo Zuccherro - the pizzas were so nice, and Mummy and Daddy could not stop saying 'Mmmmm' at their food. It was really crowded, and we had to sit outside for a while, but then we got seats inside, and it was lovely and warm.

We went down to the river to play at Heathcote Park (the one with the ship), but it was under renovation! Instead, we went to pick up Jellies! How cool was that!

Not long before my birthday now...

Clara: I love going to all of Aiysha's parties! It is so fun! I also love all of Aiysha's friends, they make me laugh so much. I am swimming really well at the moment, and I love my gymnastics! I think I am Tony's favourite!

I also did a dance especially for Grandma and Grandad in our new games room! It was funny!

Daddy and I have a new game called slaps - I get to slap his hand, and he tries to move it out of the way. I think I am too quick for him.

C: Aiysha's badge test was great! I am so proud of her!

S: It has been a beautiful winter so far...a touch of English summer about it!

We may pick our first mandarin of our tree this week!

2010-05-20 New Nortia, New Car, New Egg, New Games Room!

Aiysha:
The men are here at the moment doing our new games room - it's really noisy!

But guess what? I won the Edgewater School Easter Raffle! Top prize was the biggest chest of easter eggs! I made Mummy drive round to everyone we knew so I could give them eggs! It was so exciting, and so much fun! I still have loads of eggs left too! Me and Clog shared the biggest one though, which was yummy!

Since Grandma and Grandpa left, we got a new car! It is a Holden Captiva 7-seater, the same as Nicole and Ella! It is so nice, and I love it! The music is great, and we have so much room. Mummy tries to keep it really clean too, which makes a change from our last car! Our Hyundai Sonata did well though, and we waved it goodbye at the car showroom.

Our first trip in it was a farm stay in New Nortia on Mother's Day, and it was lovely! We went on a tour of the farm, we had a trampoline in our garden (which we spent most of the time on doing routines), we played boules, we gave Mummy her presents, went on a tour of a graveyard in New Nortia, fed some Alpacas who spat all over Mummy, and had a lovely cooked lunch with freshly baked bread! At dusk we went for a lovely spooky walk in the forest, and saw lots of bones and skeletons of animals - it was fun. I also climbed a tree, but couldn't get down, so Daddy had to catch me which was scary. We had a pool, but it was a bit cold. Brrrrrrr...

I also had my first Naplan tests last week - but I do not find out until September what I got. Oh well. I think I did ok. Mummy and Daddy said don't worry about it, but check your answers!

I love the song Fireflies at the moment. I play it all the time, and I have made a routine up too which I show everyone when they come round. Danielle has seen it many times :-)

Roxy Roo: I loved our holiday house again! Aiysha and I slept in the same bedroom again for a sleepover, like we did last Friday for the first time. I love having sleep overs with Aiysha in her room.

C: I had a lovely birthday - we planned a trip away, and Aiysha also made me a cake! It was lovely, and decorated by Aiysha and Clara. Eaten by them too :-)

This years Mother's Day was the best trip away! Our farm stay was miles from the owners house. Lovely! We live in quite an amazing country!

Games room is looking good so far!

S: Can't wait for my new computer and stereo! Very exciting stuff!

2010-04-26 Grandma Sik & Grandpa Brian

Aiysha:
Before Grandma and Grandpa arrived, Daddy took me windsurfing, and I loved it! Well, the first time I did. The second time I felt it was a little bit difficult, and got frustrated. But I'm going to try again next year, and I cannot wait!

The week after Grandma Sue and Grandpa Arthur left, we had the biggest storm ever! There were hailstones the size of tennis balls, and our games room was completely destroyed! I helped move everything out, and Daddy did not get home until 9.30 as the trains broke down. It was very exciting, but a little scary too! Mummy and Daddy say we might get a new games room! I hope so.

It was so nice to see Grandma and Grandpa again! They were really happy, and we had lots of laughs. Daddy and Mummy took them all around. In the first week, Daddy took them to Dunsborough to stay in Daddy's bosses place. They stayed for 3 days. He also took them on lots of walks along the beach, and we went on several walks with them - some of them very windy on Mullalloo!

Grandad did lots of jobs round the house like painting and gardening - why do all Grandpas do jobs round the house when Daddy does not? Daddy needs to pull his socks up!

On the day that Grandma and Grandad left, I made up a cool competition in the garden, consisting of catching, throwing and hoops! I also did a presentation of prizes! It was so funny.

Clara: I was really scared in the storm. But I was brave. I am trying to be a big girl in my bed, but sometimes I have accidents, but I am getting better.

C: The storm was crazy! The rain was so heavy, and the wind was very scary! Aiysha was amazing helping get all the things in from the games room. Can't wait for a new one though! It is about time!

S: We had a great time - saw 2 awesome games - Dockers beat Geelong in the last minute, and Western Force beat Crusaders in the last minute! Amazing! Dunsborough was soo nice - walks, lighthouse, lovely food (even a curry!), and 1-1 at Scrabble. A few runs along the beach too!

Back in Perth, we did lots of walks (Iluka, Pinnaroo, Mullalloo), went for some Dim Sum, made some lovely dinners, and watched some great movies - Kill Bill (Dunsborough), Pursuit of Happyness, and even 300! Grandad liked the violent genre for some reason.

Best holiday yet!

2010-03-27 Grandma Sue, Grandpa Arthur and Auntie Lizzie!

Aiysha:
It was soooo nice having the Lyonses around for such a long time! Lizzie came first, well for one night, and then they all were here!

Apart from my special dinner out at Leapfrog Cafe where I had the yummiest pizza and chips, we had such a great time in the pool, playing games, dancing, performing, going on trips and going to the beach!

We all went down to Margaret River, well, apart from Daddy. It was so much fun, and I also ate a bit of chocolate. I loved the house we stayed in, as it had a trampoline which we went on lots! I also loved the car we drove down in, since it was big. I hope we have a big car one day...

Grandma did loads of things with me, and helped me with my learning. Grandpa did lots of jobs round the house like putting up a new washing line, cutting up lots of branches Daddy was cutting down, and also did some amazing lights in our frog house!

I also went down to watch Daddy play some touch rugby at Northern which was nice. Josh came down one day, but I preferred to watch Daddy play and cheer him on in the final! Unfortunately, he lost it 10-9 to a really good team. Maybe next year Daddy! Well played!

We did loads of surfing aswell with Auntie Lizzie, and Auntie Lizzie even went windsurfing! Wow, she is brave! She did really well too! May be I will try it some time!

Clara: I had the best birthday party ever! I had a huge cake, lots of presents, and ate loads of naughty things! Thank you everyone for making my day so special! I am so glad you visited!

I love our new lights in the frog house. It is fun to look out and see what is going on there! Thank you Grandpa! I also loved the Margaret River house - I miss it so much!

C: It was so nice having everyone here! I will miss you sooo much! Thanks for another great visit!

S: Stephen Botchjob wasn't too happy at all with Arthur - he seemed to do all the jobs right!
