2011-04-10 Grandad Brian and Grandma Sik

Aiysha:
We went to City Beach for fish and chips, and it was soooo stormy! We invited Joe, and we played catchy on the beach, which was funny. Grandma and Grandpa enjoyed looking at the storm coming in. We had a lovely fish and chips too, and had such a laugh in the car coming back!

We also went up to Yanchep for a walk around the park - we looked at the koalas, and it was such a peaceful morning.

I did my first back-flip today - I am so happy!

Grandma and Grandpa came to watch me at my assembly where I was the narrator for Jack and The Beans Talk. I also got a merit certficate - I was so proud that every one came to watch me, and I practiced to much for the assembly. By the time the assembly came round, I knew everyone's parts! It was fun!

Clara: Grandma and Grandpa came to watch me swim, which was great, and I managed to walk around Yanchep without being carried! I am so proud of myself!

We took Grandma and Grandpa to City beach during the day too, and played boules. I was really good, and got two double pointers! In the end, Grandad won, but it was a funny game.

Gradma and Grandpa cam to watch my Easter Parade assembly in my classroom. I was a little nervous, but I was really proud to do that in front of all the moms and dads!

I loved my first school disco! I was upset to leave! Me and Claire looked after Pubic Enemy (Emily), and we had so much fun!

C: Why doesn't Clara walk all the way round when I'm walking around Yanchep! Not fair!

S: Had a game of tennis with Grandad - lovely weather for it, and went to watch Western Force being beaten easily by the Waratahs which was disaapointing. Went down to Dunsborough for 3 nights where we did a lot of walks along the coastline and along the beaches. It was lovely down there. Went for walks on Wyadup Beach (no dolphins this time), from the lighthouse, and further down the coast. We had some amazing weather, and after each day we finished off with a movie - lovely!

When we got back, we went to the Gravity Centre, which was in a remote area in the outback, and we only just got there after we trekked around for petrol, and finally got some at Guilderton. We celebrated with an ice-cream! The GC was amazing, and we climbed right up to the top of the observation centre, and looked right across the bush, and dropped our water filled ballons down to Mum who didn't climb up. Was pretty amazing place.

Our annual walk was up at Yanchep dunes - we struggled through the dunes where people go 4WDing. We started off early, and got back at around 2pm. On the walk we saw a snake which I picked up, and a trail of 47 spitfire caterpillars which we've both never seem before. We had no camera, which was a real shame! Sat on the coast for lunch, where we decided to take the harder walk back to Yanchep. Drove to the coast for a coffee, the most expensive coffee ever, considering it was a small and didn't taste nice - $5!

Spent a day at City Beach too with Clara, and played a game of boules - lovely day, and boules was a lot of fun. Bit too cold to go in the water though.

Went for a lovely dim sum where we sent Dave a picture, but don't think he got, and walked around town for a bit looking at stuff. Mum got cramp after wearing heals all day, but the massage doctor (me) came to the rescue!

Once again, loads of memorable excursions, which was great.

2011-03-29 Running, Maths and Battleships

Aiysha: I had a PE competition today - how far we can run in 6 minutes, and I came top of the girls with over 1000m in 6 minutes! I figured I could always rest later, so I didn't stop! I was very proud of myself, and Mummy and Daddy were very happy!

I also came second in maths my maths class test - I have worked so hard, and Grandma has helped loads, and it is finally paying off! I'm going to work even harder now!

Clara: Daddy is teaching me how to play Battleships, but it isn't easy, but I'm getting there. I also have 9 stars on my chart - only one other person has 10 stars, so I'm doing well!

2001-03-25 Dunsborough with the Furbs!

Aiysha: We went down to Dunsborough with Grandma and Grandpa, and stayed at Daddy's friends place - we loved it, but it was a little cold.

Tracey also held a party which we all went to, which was nice. The food was lovely, and we swam in their pool. Nicole and I did loads of back-flips and back-saults!

I was sooo nice having Grandma and Grandpa here - were did so many things, played so many games, had pancakes every weekend, they took us out on special trips to Botanical Golf and Kings Park. I can't wait to see them when we go skiing! That is going to be the best fun ever!

Clara: I love them too Aiysha! We have so much fun together, and I really really miss them when they go. I am so happy to receive all their letters too - I never know quite what to expect!

I had some injections and reacted with a fever - not happy :-(

I finally got my 10 stars! I am so proud of myself!

C: We are going skiing in December! Yippee!

S: I can wait to get on my snowboard again!

2011-03-08 Summersault and Scitech!

Aiysha: Grandpa Arthur was in heaven! We went to Scitech, and he loved every minute! We watched a chick hatch, watched a movie about the night sky (which made me feel a bit sick), and did loads of experiments! It all shut down at 5pm, just as me and Dad almost finished an experiment with large bowling balls - not fair!

We went for 2 trips to Iluka, Grandma's favourite beach. Once at night, which was a bit scary and Clara brought her torch, and once during the day where we collected shells, played poison wave and bat and ball. It was lovely.

Daddy and Grandad did their yearly cutting of all the palm trees, and it seemed that every day new ones grew! They must have been annoyed.

I got stung again by jellyfish - not happy :-(

Clara: I did a summersault off Daddy's shoulders in the pool! I loved it!

C: Got a chance to do 2 weeks relief teaching - can't wait to have my own class! Good experience, but exhausting!

S: Watched 'Wasted on the Young' - I liked it, Claire not so much :-(

2011-02-14 I Am 4!

Aiysha:
My little sister is 4 years old! I am so proud of her, and I love her so much! I organised her party so well, and made sure everyone was in the right place, and made sure the music stopped for the right people in pass the parcel!

I have been selected to do a special maths class in the morning - I am so proud, as I do not think maths is my strongest subject, but it is fun doing it. We have to play games, and I love playing games!

In PE we are also doing a boot camp - in the first boot camp I came first out of all the girls, and 9th overall! I was pretty exhausted.

Joy and Furby arrived from New Zealand and I was so excited. Mummy let Clara and I go with her to the airport, and we met them when they were collecting their bags!

Furby has already started doing jobs round the house, and Grandma has had some nice swims at Iluka and in our pool. It is great having them around!

I have started reading all my High School Musical books, and have finished watching Back To The Future, which I really liked. I can't wait to watch the second Harry Potter, and listen to the third one!

Clara: I am 4 years old! I was so excited, as so many people came to my party! Harry, Nicole, Ella, Will, Olly, Aria, Furby, Joy, Daddy, Mummy, Aiysha. I got some great presents, so thank you everyone!

We started in the pool, and then went to play pass the parcel, where Aria got the last present. We then went outside to do my pinyata, where I cried a little when it finally broke open, then played musical statues with Daddy playing the guitar. I got a little upset again since I didn't win. I was pretty tired though.

I had my first full day at Kindy, and I was soooo tired! I cried a little on my second day too, but I must try and be brave.

C: I managed to get some relief work at Lake Gwelup, which is great! Just a shame it is when Mum and Dad are here, but it may lead to other things, and I get to teach!

S: In the touch finals on both nights - should be fun!

2011-02-07 My First Day At Kindy!

Aiysha: We had a maths competition in class - the seven times table, and I won it! Wahoo! I also got selected to go to CHAMP - don't quite know what it is yet, but can't wait!

I went to Hanna Banana's for a sleep over and her party at Challenge Stadium, and it was so much fun! We had a night swim, and got to bed really late. I was soooo tired when I got home and went to be really early.

I finished watching Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone, and I loved it. Wasn't scared that much, which was good.

Mummy took us for an ice cream at Hillary's without Daddy, so daddy was a bit sad. We also went to see Tangled without Daddy, which he was also sad about. Poor Daddy.

We have started playing tennis again, and I love it! Daddy was pretty proud of me, and I can't wait to play again!

I did really well on my skills list for the holiday - we are going to count them up, and we'll see what I get! I hope I get to boss Daddy around!

Clara: I had my first day at Kindy, and I was so excited. Mummy said I looked so grown up, and took loads of pictures of me. I am feeling like I am growing up.

On the second day, a boy tried to push me off the swing, but I would not move, and he got in trouble. He he.

C: Mum and Dad arrive soon! I can't wait! I am so excited!

S: Still working on my gybing! Not doing too well though. I accidentally hit a girl in the face with my mast. Not very impressive.

2011-01-23 Jurien Bay!

Aiysha:
I love going away, and we had such fun at Jurien Bay! Here are all the things we did:
- watched Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone, a tick bit into my back while Clog and I were running through the sprinklers and I was pretty upset about that, we slept in bunks, played boules on the lawn which was really funny, visited some windy beaches, saw live cuttle fish washed up, went sandboarding down a huge dune on the beach, and ran down it too, visited the pinnacles which were pretty spooky, Mummy and Daddy had cray fish one day for lunch, which they loved! We listened to Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets everywhere we went in the car - I love it soooo much!

Hanna Banana cam for a sleepover too! We went to Mullaloo Pizza, spent ages in the pool, went body boarding although she was a bit nervous, and performed a dance show which Mummy videod - we got a few things not quite right, which was funny, but it was great doing it. She is by Bestie!

We started watching Back to the Future - Mummy and Daddy like the film, but it is a little confusing, so Daddy explained it to me, and I do like it.

Gym has started again, and I have started playing tennis again with Daddy - he thinks I am doing much better now, and I am actually enjoying it!

We have started listening to The Killers, which Daddy loves, and I am starting to like it too!
The Harveys came to dinner, and it was crazy times! We had such a funny dinner (chicken wings) after we spent ages in the pool. Grace also came round for a play, which was really nice.

We also went to Trigg for the first time in a long time - it was a little windy, but we all went in.

We had the worst Australia Day ever! We were late, got absolutely eaten by mosquitoes walking through Mathilda Bay so we didn't get to watch the fireworks, and got stuck in traffic. Not fun at all. Should have stayed in our pool. We did light one sparkly though :-)

Clara: Harry came for a play, and we had so much fun. Each weekend we have been to the beach for ages, and I love being luggage - that is when Daddy lifts me up on my body board, and pushes me onto a wave - I love it!

C: Not Harry Potter in the car again! I love cray fish - why is it so expensive!

S: Gybing - not quite there yet, but I am a better dancer...

2011-01-07 Happy 2011 Everyone!

Aiysha: It is so nice being on holiday! I love this time of year, where we have loads of friends round, sleepovers, and Mummy and Daddy do loads of things with us! I love it!

We couldn’t get to a campsite this year for New Years Eve, so we decided to go and see a film! We picked Daddy up from work, went to McDonalds, and then went to see Gulliver’s Travels – I don’t normally like films, but this was really funny, and I really enjoyed it!

Daddy has given me a skills list, which I am really enjoying doing. I have also chosen my own rewards, which is great!

Lauren came round yesterday – it was so cool. We get on so well. We went swimming, went to Joondalup Arena, and played loads of games. We even tried playing Harry Potter top trumps!

Hanna Banana is coming round today for a sleepover! I just can’t wait!

Clara: Harry came round for a play this week – we are best friends, even though he won’t talk to Daddy on the phone. We did swimming, painting, and laughed a lot! He is so cool! I also had my first go on the big slide at Joondalup Arena, and was soooo upset that I had to stop going on it! I can’t wait to go there again. I was also sad that Badger had to go to Claudia’s, but I hope to see him again at some point.

Daddy has done my first skills list, and I keep adding to it!

C: We had our first Cray fish! It was lovely with butter sauce! What a shame they are so expensive. Nice peaceful new year this year!

S: Sad to say goodbye to my buddie Badger L Just watching the last Harry Potter to remind Claire of why they are not at Hogwarts anymore…*sigh*. Got stung 3 times on my face by jellies – not happy. Result? Beard.

2010-12-29 Christmas!

Aiysha: I was soooo looking forward to Christmas! Since Uncool Dave left we had something else to look forward to, which was fantastic!

On Christmas Eve, Clara and I put all our good work on next to the tree with treats for all the reindeer and Santa, and a pen for them to write things to us. We were so excited! We went to bed pretty late, which was funny. We had dinner on the top terrace, and at the end of dinner, a Wiero landed on Daddy! He just sat on him when he came into the house, and would not go! We called him Badger, and Tracey from down the road lent us a cage for us to keep him in. He’s gonna be with us for Christmas! We also went and looked around Lansdale at the lights - our favourite was the Nativity one, which was really nice!

On Christmas Day, we started with our stockings that Santa brought us. Clara and I got the same number of presents, but some were pretty different. We got lots of crafty things, which were so cool. We then went to the beach, which was amazing! We saw Emma down there, and we did loads of surfing together. She’s funny. We then came back, and started opening our Christmas Tree presents – thank you everyone for your lovely gifts! Clara and I love them all! We spent the afternoon playing games in the pool, which was lovely! We let Badger out of his cage for a fly around - he is slowly getting use to us. Mummy made us a roast, and it was delicious!

On Boxing Day, we did lots of boxing with Daddy. We went down to the beach again, and Emma was there too. We decided to hop to the shops to see what sales were on in the afternoon, so it was quieter. We also got a boost juice, and Clog and I spent our Smiggle vouchers, and we got more bouncy balls for the pool. We had a night swim, which was very funny!

Over the next couple of days, we went to the beach and spent loads of time in our pool. We tried to go snorkelling, but it was too choppy at Waterman’s Pools, and I hurt my foot on a rock. We did some tennis practice too, which was fun.

Just before Christmas Beau and Ben came over with Jill and Michael, and we spend the day by the pool. The boys actually pushed the floor out of the dinghy, and now I can do some gymnastics routines in it without the bottom of the boat! Funny! It was lovely to see them.

Clara: I loved Christmas! It was so much fun! I was very careful opening all the presents, and sticky tape kept on sticking to my fingers, which Daddy laughed at. We threw lots of paper at each other too once someone opened a present. I love Badger too, and wish I had more pets. Daddy took the stabilisers off my bike, and helped me ride downhill while he held me. It was pretty scary stuff, and quite hard! We spent lots of time in the pool, which was so funny.

C: Had a lovely Christmas time! Girls were so funny, and we have had a lovely time relaxing! Not too happy about the bird, but he is quite cute…

S: I got attacked by huge, man eating jellyfish which stopped me doing my swim to the yellow buoy! The scars on my face do not look good.

2010-12-22 He's Uncool Again!

Aiysha: Uncle Dave was so funny! We had lots of fun in the pool, chatting, playing games and botanical golf! We went for a Cold Rock Ice Cream, and I also judged their photo comp! They were good!

Auntie Lizzie has also started her trip to South America - I hope she has a great time, and Clara and I will miss her so much this year.

Clara: I loved Uncle Dave being around. We played loads of card games, and I beat him loads! We had lots of fun in the pool, and he made me laugh so much!

C: Hmmmm, spent most of the week in Aiysha’s room while the boys were boys at night time. Great seeing Uncle Dave though!

S: It was a great, exhausting holiday! Went down to Dunsborough for 3 days where we swam with a wild group of 12 dolphins on a deserted beach, went crabbing, argued about getting lost, played Assassins Creed on the PS3 and a temporarily bought TV from Coles because the one down there did not work, hiked, did photography, body boarding and did catching on the beaches until our arms gave way! It was so funny. We ate loads, and stuffed ourselves at night time after expending all our energy during the day.

In Perth we went windsurfing 3 times, and only at the end of it did we watch Dave’s DVD which he got last Christmas, and it was awesome! We did loads of games in the pool, played tennis twice which was probably not enough as we were just getting into the swing of it, played GOWIII which was amazing (Aiysha liked it aswell!), and had our photo comp which we drew, but Dave got the winning shot with a photoshopped portrait of Aiysha! What a cheat! Also went to watch Tron, which was funny, a couple of episodes of Peep Show, and we had such a laugh at Botanical Golf, although Dave didn’t trust my counting. We went to watch the Ashes test match at the WACA, which England lost badly.

We were sooo tired by the end of the holiday, and could not believe how much we did in such a short space of time!
