2017-09-25 (Monday) Off To Sarawak!

Woke 3.30am, got packed up, and left 4.30 - or did we!? Mummy forgot toiletries!
We got to the airport, and went straight through. Surprisingly we saw Jordan, had a good chat, and he gave us a couple of free coffees to have with our croissants - super nice!

Had a relaxing read on Air Asia, and then Mummy realised we had 1 hour between landing and getting onto our domestic flight - what a nightmare! everyone we spoke to said we were not going to make it. We decided to try, and we sprinted to KL airport, took a train, and ran down all the corridors to the check in on Malaysia airlines - the man said we should be able to drop it off at the plane entrance, so we ran. The ticket lady said no, so Daddy had to run back to the man and get him to tell them! We eventually just got on after the grumpy ticket people let us through. We almost didn’t get on because of the double sided ticket!

We got to Borneo - so warm! The taxi picked us up and took us to Travellers Homestay - cool place - roof top, 2 separate rooms, 1 solitary confinement, met Moy - number 5,6. We showered up, and Roxy and I went to explore and brought back mango / dried pork which we had as an afternoon snack. We relaxed for a bit, spent some time looking out from our rooftop balcony, and found out that Aiysha got in 7’s support squad. Well done Paish!

We walked along river promenade - found a stall selling the famous Kaka Lepis layer cake - we tasted so many, and decided to buy one - perhaps one of the most amazing cakes we’ve ever had! Stopped off on the way home at the Barbecue Speciality Restaurant, and had a lovely fried rice, duck and vegetable diner. Yummy!

We all had showers and settled down for a game of Pit and layer cake (amazing) - Roxy won
Thunderstorms in the night - amazing to be in a different country!

What a funny first day! What an adventure!
